this shapeshifter champion

So riot had an idea at a certain point to create a champion that could attach itself to other champions. i don't know about the rest of the (very friendly and sportsmanlike) lol community, but i really like this idea. I've thought about this concept and i have an idea of how it would work out.

name: (open to suggestions. for the moment, I'll call him Dave.) alias: the parasite faction: the void

primary role: support secondary role: mage (maybe tank)

Dave has 3 forms: independent, mutualist and parasite. These are based on whether his ultimate is active and what the target of his ult is His abilities change depending on his form.

abilities (I'm not going to write down exact numbers. It's a concept)

passive: Mutualism --> when attached to a champion, Dave has increased health regeneration. If his host is an allied champion, the host also gains health regeneration

R: Symbiosis --> toggle: Dave can attach himself to an allied champion. When attached to this 'host', Dave takes a part of the damage taken by the host. toggling the ability off will put it on cooldown (about 20 seconds) At maximum rank, Symbiosis unlocks, allowing Dave to attach himself to an enemy champion as well. Dave takes no damage from being attached to an enemy.

independent form Q: sticky secretion --> creates a line (starting from Dave's position during the cast) in which all enemy units are snared.

W: exoskeleton --> passive: Dave has increased Armor

E: hallucinogenic hormone --> (skillshot) reduces the first hit target's sight radius for a short period of time.

symbiont form Q: frenzy adrenalin --> toggle: host champion gains increased attack speed and movement speed towards champions.

W: painkiller --> toggle: host champion gains reduced magical and physical damage.

E: corrosive bloodstream --> toggle: Auto-attacking the host champion inflicts magic damage to the enemy champion.

parasite form

Q: blighting poison --> host champion is slowed and damaged over a short time. Dave heals for a part of the damage dealt.

W: sensory overload --> host champion gains increased damage from all sources for a short amount of time. Dave regains mana based on the bonus damage dealt.

E: defense mechanism --> passive: When Symbiosis ends, Dave affects the host champion with a damage over time effect which also causes a decaying slow.

ability details

  • Any CC directed towards the ally host causes Dave to be under the same effect.
  • Symbiosis can be cleansed and spellshielded, but doesn't count as crowd control. if symbiosis is forcefully removed, Dave spawns near the targeted or affected champion.
  • If Dave is silenced, Symbiosis ends.
  • Only 1 toggle ability can be active at once. Toggling a new ability, cancels the current one.
  • All toggle abilities of mutualist form gain increased mana cost the longer the ability remains active.

Graphical design and theme.

Voidborn champions often have inspiration from insects and the like. Khazix Kha'zix resembles a praying mantis, KogMaw Kog'maw has eyes like a spider and an exoskeleton, and RekSai Rek'sai's hind legs are basically bug limbs. This parasite champion could resemble a tick.

Parasitism is a common theme in alien-based sci-fi. A good example is the reproductive cycle of the Xenomorph from Alien. Voidborn always resemble aliens and are basically extra-terrestrials. why not make a champion based on symbiosis and an attaching mechanism that comes from the void. also, support is the only role for which no voidborn champion has been designed so far.

I'd love to see some comments and suggestions. Even more, i hope to one day see Dave the parasite crawl around summoner's rift (but hopefully with a better name and as balanced as possible).

Id love the idea of a parasite thing but this doesn't seem really fun to play. Making it effectively a 4v5 doesn't seem a good design choice.
