@Riot - Karma Update

I am making ANOTHER thread about this because I was talking with a friend about how he likes old Karma . . . I have never played old Karma but from what I have heard from him, on the boards, and Youtube videos . . . . it seems there are elements of old Karma that people did like . . . . and elements of new Karma that are just not cutting it. I am going to outline some new ideas as well as some old ones that make Karma.

This thread is purely conceptual and everyone is allowed to have their own opinion and ideas. I ask that you please don't bash others and keep in an open mind. Feel free to comment with your own ideas.

What players like:

  1. Karma is a champion that can be played literally anywhere and old and new Karma fans like that about her.
  2. Certain elements of her kit do fit with Karma's theme.
  3. She can be fun to play in certain instances.
  4. The option of using an array of abilities with added effects.

What players don't like:

  1. Karma can be played everywhere which makes it really hard for her to excel as a support or mage.
  2. There are elements to her kit that do nothing for her character, roles, or fun.
  3. Because of her kit it seems like she is weak compared to other supports and mages.
  4. Riot gutted certain abilities from her old kit and decided to remove them for dumb reasons.

Passive: REMOVE

NEW PASSIVE: Gathering Wisdom - Karma gains bonus AP from the amount of cooldown reduction added to her. At max cooldown reduction, which is 40%, Karma can cast her R twice with others abilities before it goes on cooldown. After every R cooldown she can cast it twice as long as she is at max cooldown reduction.

There are many players that don't like her passive and feel that it is a waste of space, which could be used in place of something could amplify her support or mage capabilities. There are also players that would enjoy being able to cast her matra abilities more often at a steady pace. We know why Riot created this passive and that was for Karma players to be able to cast her matra abilities a lot more, but doesn't cooldown reduction almost fix that? After level six, max cooldown reduction, and late game her passive is made completely useless.

The new passive allows Karma to scale better into either a support or mage role. It will allow her to dish out damage if she wants to or support her allies if that is where players want to play her. At max cooldown reduction, which is what all Karma players should be maxing on her at first regardless, she should be allowed to cast her matra abilities more frequently.

Q & Q+R: Keep same.

W & W+R: Keep same for the the most part but:

NEW MATRA EFFECT: Karma can W+R to an ally and absorb a portion of the damage dealt to him or her. This ability is basically a weaker version of Bond of the Stone and scales with AP. Karma's E and no shield can negate any damage absorbed by Karma.

E: Keep same but:

E+R: REMOVE.

NEW E+R: The shield overflows with energy, dealing magic damage to all enemies around the shielded unit. It can be cast on allies and enemy minions. It scales with AP.

Let's face it Riot, you made a serious mistake when you removed this from the game. From what I have read and heard from others, this was an iconic ability for Karma that you removed for dumb reasons. You say the reason you removed it was because you didn't want Karma to be proccing her new passive. Now she doesn't have her new passive anymore and this opens up Karma to be a better support or damage dealer. Her damage dealing capabilities always relied on Q and Q+R . . . which is boring and repetitive. Now Karma players can use the new matra shield to dish out damage in mid lane or use it on an ally to become a suicide bomber . . . . or to that effect. The current E+R is just a weaker or same version of Iron Locket Solari. It doesn't do anything really and it is boring.

R: Keep same but:

At max cooldown reduction, which is 40%, Karma can cast her R twice before it goes on cooldown.

Let me know what you guys think. I tried my best to come up with a version of Karma that was the best of new and old Karma. What I have noticed is that Riot continues to butcher this champion and remove iconic abilities that made Karma fun and a character in the game. Riot continues to ignore Karma and it gets annoying to see other champions get reworks or updates when they don't deserve it over her, when Riot has even admitted they messed up with her in certain aspects. It was said Riot did not intend to tackle support mages at all this year, with going to yet gain bruisers and tanks after the mage update. I am tired of this laziness from them and the inability to fix and even attempt to notice what is wrong with Karma.
