[Champion Concept] Terrax - The Awakened Wraith

This is a concept for a new, actually hybrid champion, since the current "hybrids" are very lopsided towards AD or AP and there aren't any TRUE hybrids anymore.

Lore: There are many creatures that live in the Shadow Isles. Some are like Hecarim or Mordekaiser, who want nothing more than to bring chaos and death wherever they go. Some are like Yorick, who were dragged in and are forever working, without life or purpose. But some are different.

While others worked endlessly, spreading death or doing their job, Terrax slept. He was always aware, but did not wish to involve himself in this world. He did not care what happened to it and merely observed. However, a foolish mortal, with a deep hatred of the Shadow Isles and his companion ventured too far into the depths of the Isles, one day. When they encountered the self-created prison of Terrax, they attempted to destroy it, but in the end, only awakened Terrax. Though they managed to escape, they had no idea what they had released into this world.

A creature willing to end the world, so it could find a new home to sleep.

Looks: An unnaturally thin and pale humanoid, with a long black robe, covering most of his body, with a hood down. His eyes seem to radiate darkness and are purely black. The rest of his face seems nearly non-existant, giving an impression of a nose and mouth, without actually having them. He holds a moderately sized blade, of Ionian make, in his right hand, wielding it in reverse-grip (blade pointing down from the fist). He makes walking motions, but seems to hover above the ground slightly. Stats Health: 415 (+85) Health Regen: 6.25 (+0.65) Mana: 220 (+40) Mana Regen: 6.75 (+0.55) Range: 150 (melee) Attack Damage: 54 (+3.2) Attack Speed: 0.658 (+3.1%) Armor: 17 (+3.4) Magic Resist: 30 (+1.25) Movement Speed: 345

Passive: Ethereal Blade Whenever Terrax auto attacks, 30% of the damage gets converted into magic damage (70% physical, 30% magical). Conversion is calculated after critical strikes, but before armor/magic resist.

For every 100 total AD, Terrax gains 5% increased AP. For every 100 total AP, Terrax gains 5% increased AD.

Q: Spiritual Rift Terrax slashes in a target direction, creating a ghostly blade projectile, which deals 30/50/70/90/110 (+0.4 AP) physical damage and 40/60/80/100/120 (+0.3 total AD) magic damage. In addition, this blade tears the ground apart, leaving a rift in the ground, which slows all enemies nearby, based on their distance. Enemies at maximum range (700) are only slowed by 10%, while enemies standing on the rift are slowed up to 30/35/40/45/50%.

Mana cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds Range: 1000 Duration: 3 seconds

W: Ghostly Flicker Terrax dashes to target location, dealing 30/45/60/75/90 (+0.3 total AD) physical damage and 15/30/45/60/75 (+0.3 AP) damage to all enemies along the way. For every enemy champion hit and every minion/monster killed, he gains a stack of Flickering, which stacks up to 6/7/8/9/10 times. Each stack lasts 15 seconds, increases Terrax's attack speed by 3% and reduce the cooldown of Ghostly Flicker by 0.5 seconds.

Mana cost: 30 Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds Range: 800

E: Disruptive Presence Terrax creates a spellshield which blocks 30/35/40/45/50% of the next spell that hits him, and reflects the blocked damage to the nearest enemy in range (prioritizes champions). All crowd control is reduced by an equivalent amount. In addition, if the spell is an area of effect ability, he reduces the damage the spell deals to allies by the same amount (if an ally is hit by the spell before Terrax, damage remains unchanged). This damage, however, is not reflected.

Mana cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Cooldown: 24/22/20/18/16 Range: 1000 Duration: 1 second

R: Doombringer Terrax fully awakens for a brief period of time, gaining massive power. His autoattacks now deal 100% physical damage and 50% additional magical damage (total 150%), cancelling his passive's damage conversion, and his spells have their cooldowns reset. He also gains 20/35/50 movement speed. In addition, wherever he moves (including dashes from Ghostly Flicker), the ground spikes upward, creating impassible terrain for 1.5 seconds. Enemies caught in the raised ground are pushed away, getting stunned for 0.5 seconds, and take 100/250/400 (+0.3 AD, + 0.4 AP) physical damage. Any enemy cannot be hit by multiple instances of this damage.

Mana cost: 100/115/130 Cooldown: 90/80/70 Range (spikes): 300 Duration: 6 seconds

Quotes: Upon Selection: "I do not wish to remain here. I will end them swiftly."

Movement: "No rest?" "If it will expedite my return." "I will get there." "Everything has its time." "It will happen eventually." "I am on the move." "It shall be done."

Attacking: "This is retribution!" "Do not fear the endless slumber." "You shall not awaken." "Your death is one of many."

Joke: "I will destroy you all!" staggers a bit, then falls backwards, asleep

Taunt: "Do you wish to sleep as well? Perhaps I can help you..." slowly moves forward, blade poised

Taunting an enemy Lucian Lucian: "Where is your companion? Did she leave you?" "I'm not your only regret, am I?"

Taunting an enemy Shadow Isles character: "Do you really think your power matches mine?" "We may be from the same place... but you are nothing like me."

Upon using Spiritual Rift: "I will rip this world asunder." "Tear their souls."

Upon gaining max stacks of Flickering: "Can you still see me?" "Don't blink."

Upon blocking a spell with Disruptive Presence: "This hurts you more than it hurts me..."

Upon blocking a spell with Disruptive Presence, with nearby allies: "Your magic cannot harm us."

Upon using Doombringer: "Your time has come!" "I... am... awake!"

Thanks again for your comments, they were very helpful. I'm still looking at how to adapt ultimate, but I think I found a better solution to a few other issues.

Here are my comments:

General:

I really like that you're trying to make a true hybrid champ, I really don't think champs out there utilize hybrid items efficiently, so it's a refreshing idea.

Passive: I think it's pretty solid as it stands, the scaling is actually pretty good. My only concern is how the conversion of physical damage will impact criticals. Will this hurt overall damage?

Q: Cool concept, I especially like that the slow is based on distance. A feel we don't quite have on any abilities yet. However, I don't know if it's fair to the champ to have exactly equal ratios for AP and AD. Generally speaking, if AD = AP I would always focus on AD more because it also increases basic attack damage. This can be said for the ratios in other abilities

W: I think this ability might offer a little too much damage and ability if it works on minions. It seems pretty easy with a 15 second maintenance period to keep it at 8 stacks. Does this mean if the champ hits 8 enemies the cooldown is reduced to 4 seconds. Upon using again so long as he hits 1 enemy all 8 stacks are refreshed and the CD is back to 4 seconds? If so, even at higher levels this is probably too much damage and mobility. Very cool concept though.

E: We both do like a reflect that isn't simply a riposte or wind wall (don't get me started on that one lol). I'd say this is good as is, perhaps even, it may need a slight buff either in numbers or maybe something fun like movement speed upon reflection to make it feel more rewarding.

R: This is a fun ultimate, but two things concern me: 1. The 40% increase in magic damage is confusing. I imagine you mean that he is dealing 140% AD as damage equally split between physical and magic right? As it's worded, this could be confused with an exchange to 70% AD as magic and 30% AD as physical. 2. The bigger issue is 5-7 seconds of impassible terrain. This is going to be a problem for teammates for sure if they are trying to help, and this timeframe could lead to crazy things with ghost. Imagine half the map blocked off. I suggest having a maximum trail length with a tail dissolving over time such that only maybe 1000 units worth of terrain can be up at once.
