Shyvana Concept Update for Demacia's upcoming event + Neeko
I've seen consistent posts concerning Shyvana and her need of some type of rework for both her visuals + kit on Reddit and this forum lately. Figured I'd give one a shot considering she's the champion (along with AAtrox) that convinced me to play this game early last year. I think Neeko's addition to the game's lore as well as her in game interaction with Shyvana allows for an expansion on her character development especially if Demacia gets updated soon. She's related to the Vastayan ancestors and probably knows about dragons and Shyvana's origin which IMO could use updating. I'd personally like to see her leave Demacia and find a better purpose for her own life rather than being some type of magical weapon Demacia hides and shelters.
As for being a magical weapon, her in-game kit lost some of it's spark this season with certain meta changes and nerfs. She can still dominate games but I think a slight rework on her passive and an upgrade option to her Q W or E at lvl 6 would allow for a more healthy way for her to thrive in the current state of the game. This would function either like Khazix or Kaisa's kit to solidify her varying AP, AD, tank etc build paths, with lvl 6 R upgrading QWE or certain amounts of stats giving the QWE upgrade option. This gives her late game scaling when all 3 upgrades are secured.
Passive: I personally enjoy taking control of the dragons every game when I play Shyv. But ultimately it's a little sad when your team can't help and the enemy team actually cares and steals every Drake upon spawn just to eliminate your passive's purpose. Any decent jungler can use this to kill you as well. I think a reworked passive resembling Kaisa/Velkoz stacking would be great to help her work with Press the Attack but also give her some burst for Sorcery/Resolve/Domination rune choices. Her rage bar would be replaced with a system to gauge the amount of stacks she has on the current enemy target, with Q giving 2 stacks, W ticks giving .2 stack, and E giving 2 stacks. Auto attacks and abilities detonate the 6 stack gauge, which slows and gives you increased dmg on the target for 3 seconds upon detonation. Maybe with this we can keep the bonus dmg to Dragons, but remove the bonus stats for securing the drakes.
R: Dragon's Descent - The dragon form is different visually for each Q/W/E upgrade. Rage bar removed, is now on 90/75/60 CD, lasts for 15 seconds. ~Classic dragon for W (tank), a flying form for E(AP), and Q is dragonized human form w/ wings and tail (AD) ... maybe landing abilities increase length of ult?
(LVL 6 gives option to upgrade Q W or E, none of the classic abilities are changed unless upgraded. LVL 18 Shyvana has all 3 upgrades.) (alternatively, 'x' amounts of AD, armor/mr/health, AP upgrade your abilities, similar to Kaisa)
Q: Twin's Bite - Possesses a slow or stun with a slight dash to combat kiting and enhance sticking power, combos with passive. Designed for AD shyv <3 ~provides extra speed on your E skill shot and W movement speed boost
W: Burnout - The ground Shyvana walks on burns for x/x/x seconds slowing enemies + boosting allies movement speed, gives armor/mr, QOL for tank Shyv ~your Q's and E's mark targets for allies to heal (font of life)
E: Flame Breath - The classic E can be reworked in human form to be a little bigger imo, upgrading this will give allies heals and weaken stats on enemies hit ~your Q's and W dmg on enemy champions reduces CD on E in dragon form, percentages for on-hit ally effects scale with AP)
All of this along with a visual update and a Coven skin would be sweet :3 (imagine Coven Neeko, Shyvana, and Nidalee ! The two lost half-humans finally have a Coven!)
