Some Thoughts on items/progression/gameplay
I enjoy LOL a lot. As I play, though, I sometimes find myself wondering "Why isn't this in the game?" Every time that thought occurs, I have made a note. Here is a list of some of those:
-
Why aren't there single-use items (call it an elixir if you will) that provides a permanent stat boost? For example, there could be an elixir of vitality- 500 gold for a permanent increase of 50 health or something. This would give that excess gold a use in late games. Also, sometimes I find myself playing champs like Sion or Thresh purely because I want to see how much I can stack their passive health or soul collection before the game is over. These 'elixirs' would give another sort of stack to go for.
-
Why aren't there army upgrades? I know the minions boost as the game progresses, but giving the players direct control of when upgrades are purchased could be interesting.
-
Why not have a Territory Game mode? Each territory spawns minions that then attack across certain lines towards other territories; you could also still have Jungle.
-
I like the adaptive damage in the Rune's page because it allows me to build whatever I wish in the game without fear of selecting the wrong damage type. However, sometimes I wish I could actually select specifically which damage was given. For example, I was considering giving Sion the Gathering Storm rune as a sort of progressive AP growth (just for the lols), but then realized I'd have to actually go full AP Sion to have any (and only) AP from Gathering Storm. It turned me off a bit.

I wish I could 1v5 intermediate bots. As far as I can tell this isn't possible. Especially when I'm trying to learn a new champ; I feel I could use this as a sort of bench mark of mastering a champion.

I thought it would be pretty cool if there was a way to meld two champions together. Sort of like how Dragonball Z does the melding Vegeta and Goku (etc). My thoughts were that it would be a temporary (maybe 60 seconds) meld that provided combined and bonus stats to the meld, both players would be in control of the movement (maybe an average of their movement commands?) and still have their abilities (including summoner spells), and then provide a permanent stack-able boost to both champions after the meld finishes based on what champion they melded with.
These are just the ramblings of my mind usually during a game. I'm interested to see what others think.
