Damien The Hextech Scholar

Lore

In Progress... but in short, He is a young mage traveling the world in search of powerful mages to learn from, he seeks to learn all types of magic eventually and after helping some people out they created for him The Hextech Spellblade, a sword that amplifies his magical capabilities. The hextech spellblade would be a longer sword, and he would wear clothing fit for traveling, aka long coat, satchel with his books/scrolls and stuff along the lines of a traveler.

Playstyle

I designed him to be an AP bruiser for the Top lane or jungle I choose abilities that would combo well together to stick to a target after he has gotten onto them, aswell as a few ways to get to them. I gave his ultimate a unique feature that allows him to choose from nine different ultimate abilities to match the current situation he needs. He is an adaptable fighter able deal out a ton of damage to targets near him, however suffers from general lack of range. He wants to weave in auto attacks between each ability to maximize his damage out put and to set him self up for the correct ultimate choices for when he needs them.

Abilities

Passive - Hextech Spellblade Damiens basic abilities can be leveled up six times and he starts with his ultimate available Damiens sword the Hextech Spellblade infuses itself with the most recent ability cast enhancing his next auto attack within 4 seconds with the Primary Element of that ability. _Note: Unless otherwise stated, you can have only one primary element enabled at a time._ **Primary Elements **- Fire - Engulfs the target in flame dealing 5 + 10 per level (+0.30 AP) magic damage over 3 seconds. Frost - Freezes the target slowing them by 30% for 2 seconds and dealing 5 + 5 per level (+0.10 AP) magic damage. Lightning - Shocks the target dealing 5 + 5 per level (+0. 15 AP) magic damage and then energizing Damien increasing his Attack Speed by 30% for 2 seconds.

Q - Incendiary Blade, 30/35/40/45/50/55 Mana, Cooldown 10/9/8/7/6/5 Range 300 Damien ignites his Hextech Spellblade unleashing a wave of fire in a small cone dealing 40/60/80/100/120/140 (+0.40 AP) magic damage and granting 10/20/30/40/50/60 (+0.15 AP) magic damage on his next 3 auto attacks within 3 seconds. Primary Element: Fire.

W - Frozen Orb, 70/75/80/85/90/95 Mana, Cooldown 20/18/16/14/12/10 Range 600 Radius 300 Damien summons a Frozen Orb at a target location for 4 seconds slowing the movement speed and attack speed of nearby enemies by 40% and at the end of the duration the Frozen Orb will explode dealing 80/110/140/170/200/230 (+0.80 AP) magic damage. You can reactivate this ability after 2 seconds to detonate the orb early. Primary Element: Frost.

E - Lightning Charge, 75/70/65/50/45/40 Mana, Cooldown 3/3/3/3/3/3 Range 400 Damien stores a Lightning Charge in his body every 18/17/16/15/14/13 seconds. He can activate this ability to quickly dash in a target direction for a set distance of 400. Max number of charges stored 2/2/3/3/4/4. Can not dash over terrain. Primary Element: Lightning.

R - Hextech Superiority - 100 Mana, Cooldown 30 Damien releases the stored magic within the Hextech Spellblade Enhancing his next ability within the next 4 seconds and altering it based off of the most recent Primary Element cast. _Note: The enhanced versions share cooldowns with the basic abilities aka the basic ability has to be off cooldown in order to use the enhanced version._

QRQ - Flame Lance (Q Enhanced with Fire) Range 900 Damien gathers up a massive amount of fire magic and sends it forward in a target direction dealing 80 + 10 per level (+0.70 AP) true damage to all enemies hit and leaves behind a trail of fire that burns enemies for 2 + 2 per level (+0.10 AP) magic damage each second for 3 seconds. Primary Element: Fire.

WRQ - Steam Cloud (Q Enhanced with Frost) Radius 400 Damien uses the power of fire magic and frost magic to create a steam cloud at his current location for 3 seconds. Enemies on the outside can not see the inside of it and enemies in the steam cloud can not see outside of it. Primary Element: Fire.

ERQ - Energized Blade (Q Enhanced with Lightning) Damien energizes his sword with fire and lightning increasing his auto attack range by 150 and dealing 20 + 3 per level (+0.30 AP) magic damage on hit for 3 seconds. Attacking enemy champions grants him a stack of Energized for 3 seconds. Each stack of Energized increases Damiens attack speed by 10%. No cap on stacks. Primary Element: Fire.

QRW - Frostfire Bomb (W Enhanced with Fire) Radius 150-800 based on channel time Damien channels frost and fire magic into a frostfire bomb for up to 4 seconds. At the end of the duration or when reactivated the bomb will deal between 30 + 3 per level (+0.40 AP) to 120 + 12 per level (+1.6 AP) magic damage and stun targets for 1.5 - 2.5 seconds based on channel time. Any loss of control will instantly burst the bomb. Primary Element: Frost.

WRW - Frozen Armor (W Enhanced with Frost) Damien enhances his body with the power of frost magic shielding him for 100 + 10 per level (+0.70 AP) damage for 3 seconds. While the shield holds Damien is granted 50% tenacity. Primary Element: Frost.

ERW - Frozen Pulse (W Enhanced with Lightning) Radius 400 Damien releases a quick burst of frost and lightning in a small radius around him dealing 60 + 10 per level (+0.60 AP) magic damage and knocking back targets 600 units. Primary Element: Frost.

QRE - Fire Shock (E Enhanced with Fire) Range 400 Damien quickly shocks a nearby enemy with fire and flame stunning them for 1 second and dealing 70 + 10 per level (+0.60 AP) magic damage over 3 seconds. Primary Element: Lightning.

WRE - Thunderstorm (E Enhanced with Frost) Range 550 Radius 550 Damien unleashes a powerful combination of lightning and frost magic at a target location for 5 seconds. Enemies in the storm are slowed by 30% and take 30 + 5 per level (+0.25 AP) magic damage each second. Allies in the storm gain 10% increased movement speed and 25% attack speed. Primary Element: Lightning

ERE - Overcharge (E Enhanced with Lightning) Range 2000 Damien overcharges with lightning energy granting him 25% increased movement speed and 50% attack speed for 3 seconds and allowing him to quickly dash to a target destination within a massive range. Can not dash over terrain. Primary Element: Lightning

Edit: Attempted to make abilities a bit more unique with more decision making required.

The problem with this champion is that, while League would be cool with an Invoker-type champion, he fails to bring unique stuff like Invoker does.

Each of Invoker's different fusions and abilities are all vastly different and fulfill vastly different roles. This guy just has a bunch of damage/slow nukes of which more than half are subpar to the others by leagues. Invoker is fun because he can do so many things while also not being oppressive in combat - by virtue of him doing so many different, and often wierd, things. He can summon minions, stealth, deal global damage, silence, along with a slew of other things.

Damien....he just has a bunch of generic damage effects that either slow or stun or grant him movement speed. The ult gimmick is interesting but he fails to bring the magic of Invoker, and generally fails to live up to the gameplay fantasy.

This concept reminds me of current ryze, and lee sin, but shoots through the roof with skill level based lol. I do like this very much, as with both ryze and lee, doing many combos in situational places makes league more interactive and fun. I'm not really going to go over how much I feel some of the abilities need balancing damage/cc/cc resist wise, because it's overall suppose to make me understand how they would work out, as we are not riots balancing system people lol. Very cool concept, not having an ult, is interesting too, but maybe, feel like its lacking a bit without one, not entirely sure.
