Solas is an Angel, who landed among the stars and onto a new world [Runeterra] while fleeing her home world. She fell into the atmosphere and landed in a cold, icy continent. Her energy was drained from the fall, and her newly formed body rested for a hundred years, healing and learning the magic of her new world. Upon her awakening, Solas had fallen to the beauty of the new world. On her Raven wings, she sought information about the inhabitants, and was thrilled that the planets' solar rotation. She learned the ways of this world and was filled with grief when the people went to war. She tried her best to help the populace, by praying peace to the souls of the world. She taught and whispered the ways of the cosmos to those who would listen, giving them a new-found curiosity of the worlds around them. Although she could not prevent the fall of this world, she learned about the League, an organization that was made to help keep and manage the peace of Valoran. Upon joining, as an Independent Champion, she found two of her worlds inhabitants. Learning of their struggles and hardships, she decided to remain a wanderer, not tying down with her own kind. Where as Morgana and Kayle were warriors, in a sense, she sought something else. Knowledge perhaps. She believes that Runeterra has more to show her.
My inspiration for Solas comes from general knowledge of fallen angels. I want to construct Solas as a teacher from another world. Solas is known as the teacher of Astrology and walked among the worlds in the shape of a giant raven. This makes me think of the story of the Rainbow Raven [A Native Nation's tale.] Where her story is different, Solas' bird form is a giant raven with a dark array of rainbow colours lining her outer webs on her feathers. After many years living on Runeterra, she learned to shape-shift into a human form, which fit her knowledge better and allowed her to develop a relationship with the natives of Runeterra.
Giving birth to Solas in my mind, I picture her as a support, with a secondary role as a mage. Her magic is energy based, her passive allows her to 'eat' the magic that surrounds her, and convert it into her home world magic. I've been thinking about Nidalee, a champion that can shape-shift from a human to cougar. She uses her R to do this. I will not follow this way, but more along the lines of Ashe, and her hawk spirit. Solas enters battle in human form, her wings and feathers turning into her wings, hair and armor. Her magic takes the form/shape of a raven, which has the effects of a black, sparkling rainbow. I've provided a little lore. It can be developed, which I may do in my spare time offline. I am kind of struggling with her title. It seems kind of lame, but I want everyone to understand that she taught astrology to the people of Runeterra. She whispered to and beckoned their hearts to look up and ask questions. I am willing to listen to anyone's opinion on the matter.
Solas has potential to be a bottom laner [support] or a mid laner [mage.] What gives her the possibilities to do both is her W, her aura expands and boosts the cool-down [regeneration] of both health and mana [yes, only mana.] It also acts as a shield to other magics, which she absorbs [only at a specific percent] and conducts into energy. Her other abilities are her Q, a long distance, aim and shoot technique, the sends forth her raven spirit, which does some types of damage, slows the enemy hit by it, circles around and flies back to Solas. If it hits the enemy again, it causes a stun. If not, it dissipates into a splash of black rainbow magic once it reaches Solas. This will not go through objects and minions. Her E is another aim and shoot, which allows her to use a burst of energy to shoot forward, or backwards [kind of what it looks like to press F and move to the Poro King.]. There are a few seconds after where she has a rush of adrenalin and has an increased movement speed, which reverts back to normal after three seconds. She goes over all obstacles, including walls, forestry, buildings, any means of entrapment or blockage. Well, her ultimate. I am actually really excited about this. As an Angel, Solas' true form is a giant six winged raven with seven eyes. [I might add that to move across space and time [gravity] she takes celestial form [known as a soul or spirit] and glides across the cosmos.] During her ult, her physical form is stunned and rises into the sky above her enemies and blinds/stuns them by using her fourth, fifth, sixth, and seven eye/s and passing elite judgment on them. AKA a large smite like power shoots from her eyes and burns into the souls of her champions, ripping at their being and tearing them down to bend to her will. [I feel like this needs to be worked on.] I already said that her passive is to eat the magical energy around her [including dark/void power] and convert it into her own sustainable energy. She chooses to use this ability on those of similar abilities [mages mostly, void users/natives as well.] She has a personal weakness for allies, whom I will state later, and for pure-hearted [their one intention is peace among the people/world. For those of you who read this and know which characters this relates to, can you tell me?], such as Ashe, Katarina, or Bard. I'd also like to use something similar to Kalista, where she links with her ADC or a fellow champion and boosts their ability and regeneration scores. I should mention the cool-down on this is a hefty two and a half minutes, and can only be used three times per rank level, and no, those are not transferable. I don't want to get into the ranks right now. I think I'll leave them pretty basic. Develops through out the game with item and leveling up.
