Tutor mode for ranked (incentivized community assistance)
I was playing lately, and realized that as much as id like to think otherwise, at my current skill l erb el I belong where I am... which is bronze.
I've noticed a certain trend in bronze, which is simply that nothing is as coordinated as it could be, and that many people may be mechanically gifted but lack map awareness or may have great nap awareness but have little grasp of mechanics...
And I thought about all the smurfs, so many with such salt. It's true that sometimes it feels good to just stomp a game and it happens regardless as a side effect of the elo system. People whi want to go to lower elos will find a way.
My concept is to use this to the advantage of inexperienced players by implementing a new system called tutor mode, in which high elo players join a team with low elo players and actively give friendly advice.
Of course no game would have only one team with a tutor, when a tutor enters cue he has to wait for a relatively even matched opponent to effectively be pitted against, they both land the same lane every time as if both hitting fill.
Tutors will have a different font color, and will be rewarded for helping their team.
These rewards will be as follows
Honorific ribbons, icons, and ward skins. With passive ip boosts but no lp gain for these matches.
Possibly even ward skins too.
To cue as a tutor you must have the following
At least ten mastered champions, which you can only chose from in a tutor match , rank of gold v or higher, being placed with teams no higher than two tiers lower than you (gold for bronze, Plat for silver), and no reports for negative behaviour in the last month of gameplay.
Tutors could also gain special champion skins, possibly a set of 3 available at a time dependant of the champion, and can earn tutor points (tp) by submitting actually helpful reviews.
Tutor points would allow you to unlock the bonus content and be usable as currency for up boosts and skins. You would gain the majority of these based on your reviews on teammates and foes in the post match screen.
These reviews would be saved and viewable by only the player who received it, or the tribunal if needed.
Strict behaviour requirements would have to be adhered to by the Tutors which includes positive and informative conduct.
Again Tutors would not gain lp from these matches, and can only participate in a match in which the enemy team has a tutor.
Players exposed to these higher level players will be able to witness the value of higher levels of play, and some of the tricks used by both their tutor and the enemy tutor.
Both Tutors will be allowed to submit reviews on the post game screen for either team, that. ay if your tutor sees a bad adc on the enemy team he can give tips after the match is over, but only may give tips to his team during the match
Players would review their tutor based on his informative nature, which would give him a general score, Tutors with consitently high scores would gain additional rewards whereas lower scored Tutors would lose their ability to mentor players either for a shot amount of time or permanently depending on the reasons why their scores were low
