Appearance: The picture gives you an impression of the idea that I am looking for (It is not my art, and I take no credit for it). Dayne has grown into a powerful, calm and collected individual. His appearance should be regal and almost too perfect, to the point of it almost being creepy. I want him to have an air of mystery around him, like you can't be sure if his intentions are good or evil. His voice should reflect this by being clear and melodic. He would speak with an air of nobility, with little emotion and usually a bit vague.

Kit: This part is subject to change!! IF you have any comments on parts you think should be different, tell me in the comments :D

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/18/icons_17748_btn.jpg Passive, Faerie Blades: Dayne wields two swords, one that embodies the Seelie Fae and one that embodies the Unseelie Fae. His blades are imbued with Fae magic and leave traces of this on their targets. Whenever Dayne deals damage to an enemy he will cause the target to become weaker for that kind of damage. Every stack will function as -2.5% armor (when dealing physical damage) or magic resist (when dealing magic damage) for that target. Every hit will generate one stack until a cap of 15% / 20% / 25% / 30% of the targets total armor/magic resistance for 2 seconds, refreshing with every hit. Dealing damage with a different kind of damage will switch the built up weakness to fit that kind of damage AFTER hitting the target and calculating the damage with the original weakness type. (See details of switching blades in R)

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/5/icons_4074_pas.jpg Q, Armour Rend: Mana cost: 60 MANA Cooldown: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 seconds Wielding Castor: Dayne strikes forward with his blade, dealing (50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 + 85% Bonus AD) magic damage in a cone plus bonus damage to all targets based on the amount of extra Magic resist the target has in comparison to their Armor (1% AD and 1% AP for every +1 difference in Magic Resist). This includes differences stacked by Faerie Blades. Wielding Pollux: Dayne strikes forward with his blade, dealing (50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 + 85% Bonus AD) physical damage in a cone plus bonus damage to all targets based on the amount of extra Armor the target has in comparison to their Magic Resist (1% AD and 1% AP for every +1 difference in Armor). This includes differences stacked by Faerie Blades.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/13/icons_12133_pas.jpg W, Elven Edge: Mana cost: 80 MANA Cooldown: 19 / 17.5 / 16 / 14.5 / 13 seconds (When switching blades through this ability, the built up attack speed is not converted into bonus damage but stays as attack speed.) Wielding Castor: Dayne embeds Castor into an enemy champion with great force, dealing 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 (+ 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 / 115% bonus AD) magic damage and fixating the weakness built up by Faerie Blades for as long as the blade is embedded. Dayne will use Pollux during this period, gaining its effects and abilities. Dayne will retrieve Castor when reactivating Elven Edge, after 4 seconds or by leaving its range of a 300 unit radius. Retrieving Castor wil instantly slow the target by 40% / 45% / 50% / 55% / 60% for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds. Wielding Pollux: Dayne embeds Pollux into an enemy champion with great force, dealing 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 (+ 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 / 115% bonus AD) physical damage and fixating the weakness built up by Faerie Blades for as long as the blade is embedded. Dayne will use Castor during this period, gaining its effects and abilities. Dayne will retrieve Castor when reactivating Elven Edge, after 4 seconds or by leaving its range of a 300 unit radius. Retrieving Pollux wil instantly slow the target by 40% / 45% / 50% / 55% / 60% for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/13/icons_12135_pas.jpg E, Fae Trickery: Mana cost: 90 MANA Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds (This ability applies on hit effects upon impact (thats only the targeted enemy, not the ones he hits on the way) but can't critical hit.) Wielding Castor: Dayne flashes towards a target in a blast of light, dealing 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 (+ 50% AD) magic damage to all enemies in his path and 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 / 165 (+ 100% AD) on impact. All enemies that face the trajectory of his path are hind-sighted and the target is blinded, both for 1.5 seconds. Wielding Pollux: Dayne becomes one with the shadows. He becomes stealthed and gains 30% movement speed for up to 3 seconds. While stealthed he can dash towards a target, dealing 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 (+ 50% AD) physical damage to all enemies in his path and 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 / 165 (+ 100% AD) on impact.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/17/icons_16037_pas.jpg R, Seelie/Unseelie blade: Mana cost: NONE Cooldown: 3 seconds (Dayne starts with one point in this ability at the start of the game.) Passive: Dayne passively gains attack speed, the longer he uses one single sword. He gains 5% attack speed for every 2 seconds he is in combat with either Castor or Pollux. The attack speed stacks until it caps at 40% / 45% / 50% / 55%. It will slowly decay over time if Dayne is out of combat for at least 5 seconds. Active: Dayne switches between his two swords. The attack speed percentage built up with his passive is converted into a percentage bonus magic (when changing to Castor) or physical (when changing to Pollux) damage upon his next auto-attack within 5 seconds. If Dayne had full stacks in his passive, the next attack will automatically crit. Castor: Dayne uses his white and silver sword Castor, made by beings of light. His auto attacks deal magic damage (100% of AD + 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% of AP) to a target. Critical strikes will create a blast of light in a small area around the target champion, dealing magic damage (25% / 35% / 45% / 55% of the critical strike) to all hit enemies. A target is then immune for the effect for 5 seconds. Pollux: Dayne uses his black and gold sword Pollux, made by beings of night. His auto attacks deal physical damage (100% of AD + 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% of AP) to a target. Critical strikes bleed the target for 15% / 20% / 25% / 30% of the damage done over a period of 3 seconds (effect does not stack). A target is then immune for the effect for 5 seconds.

Gameplay:

In general: Dayne is a "Unique" individual and a bit of an outlier. He does not depend on others to get the job done, but does not shy away to help others aswel. I tried to reflect that in his kit. I had been playing around with the idea of a champion that switches between damage types with an ability and by doing this, forcing the opponents to build more balanced. Indirectly influencing the build pattern of the enemy seemed something that has not yet been done by league of legends. Like I said, Dayne is a bit of an lone wolf. He shines best when he is one on one with an opponent. With careful planning beforehand and well thought out combinations of his abilities, he can lay waste to even the strongest of tanks. This does not mean that he is only good for duelling. Though it would be a rather bad idea to jump into the enemy team guns (or actually swords) blazing, he can still whittle down the enemies defences with his Faerie Blades passive, allowing his allies to deal more damage to them. When the enemy team is low on health, he can then swoop in with a well timed "Armour Rend" to finish the job and clear away any stragglers with "Fae Trickery". When playing against Dayne, you need to first and foremost make sure your defensive stats are balanced enough for you to not get bursted down. Then it is only a matter of getting him by surprise. His kit is meant to plan out an attack, but when you get the drop on him, he will have to improvise (which, I know, does not mean that he can't win, but it certainly makes him less powerful).

Combo: Dayne's kit requires some basic knowledge of how the two types of defences work. There are two types of damage in the game; Physical damage, done usually by auto attacks (and some abilities) and magic damage, done usually by abilities. Armor blocks part of the damage done by Physical Damage and Magic Resistance does the same for Magic Damage. Dayne can switch between these two types of damage using his R ability "Seelie/Unseelie Blade", dealing Physical Damage with Pollux and Magic Damage with Castor. Additionally, the "Faerie Blades" passive will reduce the targets resistance against the damage he does on the target, allowing you to deal more damage with that type. Knowing this, you should think about when to use his Q ability "Armour Rend", that will deal bonus damage depending on how much more defence a target has built for the type of damage you are using at the time. When not to Q: Obviously not when you have been fighting with the same blade for some time against that target... When to Q: One idea is to use "Armour Rend" at the start of a battle, when there have not yet been any changes in defences. OR When using "Elven Edge". This ability fixates the weakness and type that you have built up with an enemy for a short time and allows you to switch blades for that duration. Using "Armour Rend" THEN will have much more effect, even if the target has built balanced defences. OR Another possibility is simply switching blades with "Seelie/Unseelie Blade". The attack speed will be forfeit but if you use "Armour Rend" first, the damage is calculated with the old built up weakness.

So, the best string of abilities would be to first get up close to the enemy with "Fae Trickery" (does not really matter what side) and then deal some initial damage using auto attacks. Then use "Elven Edge" to fixate the weakness that you have built up and follow that up with "Armour Rend" to deal tons of damage. If the target is not dead by then, it will most likely try to run away. Simply retrieving the embedded blade will slow the target immensely, allowing you to catch up and finish the job.

He would play best with strong CC that allow him to hit enemies multiple times. Champions with stuns/roots/knock-ups (Taric, Nami or Zyra for example) would open a lot of opportunities for him to chain together multiple kills.

When playing against Dayne, you will need some naturally balanced defences or powerful disengages. Champions like Taric, who gain additional Armor from abilities and passives would be poor choices, while champions like Vayne, who have powerful disengage tools would be better choices.

Build: Dayne is mostly an Assassin that specialises in fighting tanks. He can hold himself in a fight by dealing enough damage to the enemy for them to try an be careful. Since most of his abilities scale with Attack Damage, I would advise to build him AD. Some additional Critical strike chance and Attack Speed would also be very useful. Going a little tanky with Dayne can maybe preserve him longer when fighting enemies, allowing his passive to whittle down the targets defences for him to deal good damage, but that would take patience and lowers his burstiness. Going Dayne AP is also an idea, but more something for a more experienced player to consider. His auto attacks gain a little bonus damage from the AP he builds and if he has enough AP, this damage might even grow larger then he would have when building AD. You'd have to build full AP for that though and other then his R, only "Armour Rend's" bonus damage scales (al little) with AP. Going a little of both is also a possibility, with hybrid items such as "Trinity Force" and "Hextech Gunblade". This will allow his auto attacks to deal a little more damage, but neither these or his abilities will reach such high damages as when you build him full AP or AD.

Lore: Has your mother ever told you stories of the Banshee? Of tiny creatures with wings? Of humans with goat legs? Of speaking animals? I am sure she has. But every time she did, she always promised that they were all make belief right? That it was all a fairy-tale and that you did not need to fear these weird creatures from another world. But what if I told you that all these creatures do and don't exist? That it is and isn't make belief? That this world is both here and nowhere? That it is then and now and later at the same time? A world were mysterious powers linger that no human mind could ever grasp? Are you confused yet? Good...

Long, very long ago. In days before Demacia and Noxus, back when the ancient empire of Shurima was but a mere settlement and Ionia had not even been touched by human hands, there lived strange creatures in the dense and remote forests of Runeterra. These forests, known now as Glades, were places where the ancient magic of the world still lingered; bending time and reality like it was dough. They allowed passage into a land that is neither the realm of mortals, nor that of gods. A realm that is different and the same at the same time. And the only way to get to these places was to get completely and utterly lost…or to have a native guide the way...

For in these places, creatures of magic thrived that had no origin known to man. These creatures called themselves “The Fae”. Many and various they were, living all together in this land, rarely venturing out into the mortal realm. And over these creatures, two beings ruled, though ruling would be a bit of an overstatement. Naming themselves “King Oberon” and “Queen Mab”, these beings were polar opposites of each other. King Oberon was the self proclaimed king of the Seelie Fae, who were like him prideful creatures of light that thought themselves superior to everything. Queen Mab on the other hand was a subtler creature but always honest and well versed in the dark magics of the world. She fancied herself the queen and protector of the Unseelie Fae who were like her in many ways. They lived together for a long time, balancing each other out in their rule and even produced a child. Prince Dayne had characteristics of both his parents. He was carefree, pridefull and handsome like his father plus strong and honest like his mother. The Fae Folk delighted in him, as he was the link that brought together the two courts of Fae. But these were not the only powerful beings that lived among the Fae.

A young sorceress with the beauty and voice of a goddess lived there too. But other then her appearance, nothing about her was divine… She was greedy and hungered for more power. She ventured out into the mortal realm and charmed human men to follow her. She then used their life essence to work on her dark rituals. Queen Mab and King Oberon got wind of this however, and together they brought her down. Queen Mab punished her to a life outside of the Faelands, and to live as a fearsome hag with a singing voice that would bleed the ears of any who would hear it. The sorceress was furious. With her cursed appearance, she was feared everywhere and the one thing she had enjoyed most in life, her singing, was taken from her. On that day she vowed the Fae would answer for what they had done to her and that they will both lose the thing they love most...

Moments or Eons later (time flows differently in the Faelands), the young prince had grown into a strong Fae with traits of both the Seelie and the Unseelie. He was adventurous and brave, but naïve... All had always been good in the Faelands, so what was there to fear? And partially he was right…for danger did not lurk from the Faelands, but from the mortal realm. On one of his adventures to the other world, he met with a big group of strange people in metal clothing. They told him they were looking for a magical world of creatures so strange, no human could ever dream them up. Proud of his homeland, the prince explained that this world was in fact The Faelands and the he was from there. The humans shared meaningful glances with each other, which to the prince was an odd thing to do. The man who seemed to be the leader bowed to him and asked him to show them the way. Thinking nothing of it, he led them straight to the entrance…not knowing, what had happened before hand…

For if he had known, he would never have led them there. The sorceress had ravaged the lands in pursuit of a way to enter the Faelands again, but the banishment from the royal pair was absolute. No Glade would allow her to enter. So she gave up on going there herself….and in stead pointed a mighty mortal force the way to the Faelands, promising them unknown and mysterious powers. The Noxian Empire had a hunger for powerful magic, and thus eagerly hang on to her lips. After she had convinced them, they sent a delegation of soldiers to the nearest Glade that the sorceress knew of. That the Faerie prince himself would be at the gate, eager to let them in was a surprise even the sorceress could not have anticipated. She had smiled, and had retreated into the shadows to watch the spectacle unfold…

The moment the army arrived, they started ravaging through the Faelands, plundering and murdering everything in their path, straight through to the royal palace. When they came upon the immense building, the royal pair was waiting for them. With great power not even the Fae knew their King an Queen had, they made short work of the army that had hurt their world so much. But hurting however, had never been the sorceress’s intention…She had cast a foul magic on the leader of the humans, and as he was cut down by the King and Queen, they started to feel its effect. Suddenly, King Oberon and Queen Mab looked into each others eyes and felt an intense hatred fill their hearts. As tension rose, more and more Fae joined their sides, until two groups were standing on opposite sides from each other. As they both started to raise their hand to lay harm on their kin, Prince Dayne came in between. He begged his parents to lay down their weapons. As a being of both sides of the Faelands, the magic had no effect on him, nor did his parents feel any hate for him. The only thing stopping them from tearing each other apart was the love for their son. They looked at each other one more time and then turned around, never to look back again. They each went to separate ends of their world and ruled their courts from there.

Distraught about what happened, Dayne swore he would bring the now two courts of Fae back together. He traveled the Fae lands and created two swords, symbolising the two halves that needed to be whole again. One representing the bright pride of the Seelie Fae, named Castor and one representing the dark honesty of the Unseelie Fae, named Pollux. In his search for peace and balance, Dayne travelled both the realm of the Fae and the realm of Mortals, ever on a quest to find the vile sorceress and undo the magic that keeps his kin separated…

So tell me lads and lasses…Yordles and Man…Mortals…and Immortals…Do you now believe in the fairy-tales your mothers told you? In the dreadful monsters and stunning beauties that are said to roam the lands? I leave it up to you to decide…I’ll just give you one piece of advice…Stay on the path when walking through dark forests, you never know where you might end up…or if you'll ever come back.

Really well done, but you probably already knew that by now.

Bump for recognition.

Love the concept and design, i know its not your art, but it helps to imagine the gameplay.

his passive is unique and interesting, interactes with his ability.

Very kool.

So...a couple of my thoughts

Passive: Well...I'm not too sure about where I stand on this to be honest. There's certainly incentive to stay in one form...but that's kind of it to be honest. I think it takes too long to accumulate, and since switching loses all of it, it incentivises picking one sword and sticking with it rather than using that neat little mechanic you have. It's also very strong at max, even at level 1. If you don't switch, that's almost 5 Daggers worth of AS as soon as minions spawn. I'd recommend that it scale, and that you lose only half of the AS upon switching, so that you don't feel bad about it.

Ult (since it's the core of the concept)

First off, it shouldn't cost mana. You shouldn't be punished for having access to multiple formes. All the other transformers like Nid, Elise, Jayce, all of them are free. Second, the passive crit chance feels very random and makes laning very random. It's not significant, and could probably be distributed elsewhere as power. No one like laning against Tryndamere for similar reasons, since they can just lose the lane because he rolled a lucky crit.

Actually, tbh my main problem with this concept is how hard itemisation is, both for and against. What I'm really talking about is how difficult it is for the enemy to itemise for this, while it is also difficult to itemise for penetration from your end, basically leaving you locked into a single sword form mid-late game, particularly with how valuable the AS steroid is and how long it takes to build up.

This isn't one of my standard reviews, tbh, but I find it kindof difficult to go past this because I think that it is a major flaw/issue with your current concept.

P.S Also, if you could take a look at mine, like review trading? :p

I love how much work there is into the story and the quotes.

However, he feels wayyyy too loaded. Right off the bat, he has that ridiculous high damage Q. Say that he maxes Q first, and say that he has a hextech gunblade by that time. He'll be doing almost 400 AOE damage every 7 seconds, plus that bonus damage!. That's simply too strong, especially for an auto attack champion. He also has a ridiculous 4 second 80% slow, and a 2.5 second blind + double flash/dash. I think that he definitely has potential.

The Anagram King2/23/2016, 3:07:00 PM1 votes

Hey Canduril, I'm gonna try to keep this concise.

Dayne has a very obvious identity. Reading his passive, you instantly get a clue as to what his job is. He tears away armour and magic resist, dealing damage that benefits from these debuffs. It's all very obvious. And that's a good thing.

Dayne's Passive is a great base for the rest of his kit. My only gripe with this is that it took me until his ult description to understand how he changed between blades without first embedding them into foes. If you can work in a line somewhere, it'll take a little of the guesswork out of reading through your kit. However - like I said - we know it's coming, eventually. So this is really just a 'reader comfort' kind of thing.

Dayne's Q seems... backwards. Why is the sword that deals magic damage and rends magic resist doing bonus damage based on how much extra magic resistance the target has? Shouldn't it be the other way around? I wouldn't want my Q's damage to drop because my passive's working, after all. :P Do you intend for Q to be an engage tool before you wear down an opponent's resistances? Or, perhaps, for use after switching blades/damage types? This would be okay, too. But if this IS, in fact, the case, you should make a point of outlining in your passive that the armour/mr rend only switches after the attack deals damage. This way, readers will understand that you want Dayne to wear down an opponent's armour before switching weapons and Qing them ("The goal is use it as an execute, idiots! Not an initiate! God!")

  • Dayne's W is a cool concept, but feels overwhelming to the point of frustration. That slow is a big pain, after all. If, as I guessed above, you intend to use his Embed to empower a Q execute after a forced weapon-switch, I would suggest a heavy nerf on the slow duration (also the slow % is a bit over the top. Enemies need to be able to escape). From here, you could implement a bunch of changes. The slow could proc on-hit or after the sword pulls out of the target, instead of during the embed. The weapon change could be permanent, freeing up your ultimate's active to do different things (changing swords ONLY while in combat could be pretty cool, I must concede!). There's lots of potential to turn this ability into something even more creative, if you want to. But, otherwise, it's a good, solid attack. It serves its function, but may need to be toned down. :P

  • Dayne's E is overloaded. A gapcloser is already iffy, with W's slow. But tacking on a stealth or blind means the enemy is going to really struggle at having a chance to fight back - even during early lane phase. Dayne is frightening. I would consider toning down either the control/stealth, the damage, or even eliminating the gap-closer. Just THINK of the post-release debuffs, Canduril!!

  • Dayne's R is the "AHHH, I see!!" moment of the kit. Now everyone knows how those blades work. :P The passive AS buff is cool, but I'd consider letting the AS drop back to 0 while outside of combat. Converting AS into extra damage when switching weapons is also cool. The active allows Dayne to switch blades. Yay! But, outside of his E, is there any inherent reason to do it? Everything scales the same and shares armour rending values, anyway. Consider thinking about throwing in some value differences between each ability, There's also the option of using the embedding of a blade to change your weapons, instead - freeing up room to turn Dayne's R into its own ability!

... But these are just vague suggestions. Remember to take my thoughts with a grain of salt!

Hey there! You may remember me from when you reviewed my champion concept, and so I am here to repay the favor! :D

Now, first of all I want to say that he is pretty interesting. I read the kit to completion, and skimmed the lore (I was a bit crunched on time. Sorry D: ). So, speaking from the kit, and just the kit, I have a few questions I hope you can help me with, and possibly I might be able to help you. Who knows :P

If you want just an overall, skip to the Overall section where I summarize everything.

DISCLAIMER These are just my personal thoughts. Do with them what you will. I am in no means saying you have to change anything or do any of this if you feel it is against your champions nature and or you do not like it.

First things first. The Passive.

You say that each strike reduces their armor or magic resist by 2.5, but then go into percentages. So does this mean that the 2.5 is 2.5% or that it is a static number that reduces the Armor or Magic Resist until it equals 10/15/20/25% reduced Armor or Magic Resist? Just a bit confusing for me to read is all and wanted a bit of clarification if you would. :P

Another thing that caught my eye is you said "Dealing damage with a different kind of damage will switch the built up weakness to fit that kind of damage AFTER hitting the target and calculating the damage with the original weakness type." So does this mean ANY Phsyical or Magical attack will change the stacks to reduce the magic resist or armor? I ask because it goes on to then talk about the different swords. So, is it ANY physical or magical attack, or is it whenever he uses a different sword?

Now, the abilities. This is a general thing I am seeing, and want to ask a question about it.

Each ability is pretty much the same. The only difference being that one causes magic damage and the other does physical damage. Now, this itself is fine, but one thing I'm wondering is why both scale with AD rather than the Magic Damage scaling with AP and the Physical Damage scaling with AD.

I only ask because it is extremely rare, if not nonexistent (though idk all champions by heart to say for sure), to find a champion who deals Magic Damage using AD. Just like it's hard to find a champion who deals physical damage with AP (This is not in regards to your champion since he doesn't use AP, but this is just an example). Now, this isn't to say that it ISN'T possible. I myself had a champion kinda like this. Dealt magic damage with scaling AD, but they also had AP scaling as well and people complained about them because of that reason. Of course, not saying this is bad. Just wondering why it is the way it is for Dayne. :P

Q.

I find it pretty interesting and nice. No realm qualms about it. Only a few questions. How big is this cone? How far does it go?

The only other question besides that is about the bonus damage. I don't understand how it works. Actually, I'll tell you how I interpret it and you tell me if I am right or not and you can tell me how it actually works.

1% of AD and 1% AP for every 1 Difference in either armor or magic resist (depending on the blade used). Does this mean that using Pollux if the enemy had 50 Armor and 25 Magic Resist the bonus damage would be 25% AD and 25% AP damage? You also say "Extra Armor" do you mean armor they have from items or is this just a term used to say "50 Armor and 25 Magic Resist. They have 25 Extra Armor more than Magic Resist"?

Just a bit confused is all how this extra damage works. Also, is it dealt as Magic Damage or Physical Damage depending on the sword used?

Overall though I have always liked abilities that hit a target in melee range and kind of projected damage outwards from behind the target.

W.

So, this lasts for 4 seconds and applies the Passive while embedded? Am I getting this correctly? Just wondering. No issue with it. Just curious.

If that is the case, does this mean that while it is embedded and he uses his other sword, do both passive stack or just the one embedded?

Only real complaint I have is the slow. It's high and has a bit of a long duration. For comparison I will use a long slow, but with low percentage. Malphite. His slow is 26% at Max Rank, and lasts 4 seconds. This is a bit over 1/3rd of your slow, and lasts 1s longer.

I bring this up because it is one of the longest and arguably worst slows in the game (Next to Nasus and Singed...and I mean there are others, but that is why I said arguably).

So, with this slow I personally think it is a bit too strong. I know you have to build up to it by ranking the W, and that buffers it a lot. However, despite that 70% is a HUGE slow for 3s. Talon has a 99% slow, and that is only for 0.25s. You're only 29% away from that slow. Singed has a 75% at max rank, and that is in an area of effect, and can be dodged, and is removed upon leaving the area.

Yours is uncounterable. From what I imagine from the description of the ability is that it is a targetable melee range ability. If you're in range, it will hit you. The moment it ends, you are slowed. No way to avoid it at all, and it lasts for 3s at max rank.

You're a Tank Assassin from what I remember you telling me. Tanks are already slow as is. This is slight overkill, not only for tanks, but also the squishies you fight.

So here some of my suggestions. Reduce the slow, max it at 30% or 50% over 3s, or lower the duration to 1s flat. A third option would be to make the thrust a skillshot, a skillshot much like Yasuo's Q. Make it follow the mouse cursor. This way there is a way to avoid it, but even with this third option I do suggest either reducing the % of the slow or lower the duration drastically. Otherwise this slow would be insanely strong.

Only other concern, but not really a concern, is the Magic Damage being caused by AD rather than AP again.

E.

Pretty interesting. I love dual concepts if they fit the champion, and they do. Of course, there is the curious nature of Magic Damage and AD scaling again, but that is just me being curious about why he does it the way he does it. Much like the others though I have questions. Or, well, one question.

The Question is this: What is the radius and range of all of it? It doesn't say how far he can target someone, what the radius of the impact is, nothing. It just says that is what he does with the damage.

Second, the blind. All enemies hit are blinded for 1.5s. That means that a LOT of enemies are going to be blinded, and this is extremely strong. Being unable to hit ANYTHING for 1.5s is deadly. Game breaking even. That's like of Teemo's dart could go through enemies, hit the target and all those around the target.

Have you ever been hit by Teemo's dart that blinds you? It is not fun. The damage I can deal with. It's the not being able to counter him as he just bashes my face in with more darts, and that's just on ONE champion. You're talking about a potential entire team being blinded, plus minions and monsters. Extremely strong.

Unless you're talking about the sort of blind that Graves inflicts with his smoke or Quinn does with her bird. In that case it's called Nearsighted. Takes away vision for a while. Either way, it is extremely strong being able to Blind or Nearsight that many potential people.

I don't say get rid of it. After all, it IS a blinding light. Just...tweak it a bit. Possibly make it where only the Target is the one Blinded on impact and the others are simply nearsighted for about 0.25s to 0.5s.

I just imagine this following up a Malph ult or even a Malph ult following up to this...ow. Malph for the damage and Knock up, and Dayne for the Blind and Damage. Could leave complete teams defenseless since the misses and knock ups. Just food for though.

R.

So, two questions. The first is what I've brought up before. The AP scaling. There is none except for bonus damages, and on Castor. Thus, I ask again. Why no AP scaling on the Castor abilities? This effectively makes having ANY AP in the kit absolutely nothing compared to AD items. I'll explain this from my point of view.

Abilities are all majorly AD scaled. Only AP scaling is on the basic attacks and on the Q's bonus damage. Thus, this leads to absolutely NO AP items in a build. After all, why would you need AP if 90% of your kit is AD scaling?

Castor and Pollux. Auto attacks are Magic Damage (Castor) or Physical Damage (Pollux). This is based on 100% AD + 20% AP at max rank. With no AP items that 20% is absolutely nothing. So it might as well just be 100% AD with no AP scaling because the amount of AP you'd get from it would be 0.

Personally, I would have given Castor's damage 100% AP + 20% AD at max rank and I would have given Pollux 100% AD + 20% AP at max rank and given Castor's Abilities AP scaling. This would make more sense to me since it is obvious you wanted Castor to do magic stuff and Pollux to do Physical stuff.

Perhaps you can explain to me why you chose to do it your way. Of course, AP items are extremely strong and can gain a lot more AP than you can AD so if Castor would have AP scaling and its abilities with AP scaling then you'd effectively have to readjust the numbers to balance it and make each sword no more powerful than the other. Perhaps that is why you did it the way you did it, but then to me it would make no sense as it would be kinda weird to build against him since he is using physical items, yet can do magical damage to you. I suppose if you go half and half, but even so it's a bit weird. Not hard to do. Just weird.

Second question.

What do you mean "A target is then immune"? Does that just mean your target is immune to being hit by this or that all those hit are immune to this for the 5s? It would make sense for Pollux if it was just the target since it only effects one target on a critical strike, but on Castor it wouldn't since it hits multiple enemies in the blast. Just a bit of clarification is all :P

OVERALL See the second post....I ran out of space apparently. D: Sorry.

Just want to say that I really love this concept. Might be my love of a certain Forgotten Realms Drow Ranger who dual wields scimitars...but I digress. On to the critiquing!!

I love how the lore contributes to duality of his two swords. Always nice to get an origin story for how a kit operates. Pretty well written and such, so I don't really have much else to say.

Now onto the kit.

Passive- Interesting passive that fits the theme of his swords pretty well. I assume it keeps the shred at the same amount even if you switch to a different type of damage? Otherwise, it gels with his kit perfectly, and helps him deal with tankier opponents, while not as effective against squishies. Just to be clear, is the 2.5 a percentage or a flat number?

Q- Interesting concept here. Correctly utilizing your passive in conjunction with this will greatly increase your damage output. Again, this is a perfect spell for what he's trying to accomplish. Basically being a tank-killer.

W- Another skill that meshes extremely well with his kit. Just kind of curious how long the duration would be though? Since 25% reduced armor/magic resistance for a protracted period is pretty strong.

E- This ability has a lot of utility for both versions of it. One version is a blink/dash that inflicts blind with pretty good damage. The other version seems even more dangerous, particularly if you want to roam. Definitely helps him fulfill his role as an assassin to the tee. Mana costs seems a bit high, but maybe that's just me. Curious as to range of the blink.

R- Love this ultimate. The I feel like the passive aspect of it kind of makes him feel more like a melee carry than an assassin. Though I might just be nitpicking.

Overall, I like the kit a lot. It pretty much seems like it will function exactly as you want it to. An anti-tank assassin. Though I feel like he could really fit in the role of a carry if played properly, though he doesn't have any real defensive abilities, aside from perhaps the blind on his E.

Passive/R: Pretty confusing when first reading as you talk about seelle and unseelle blade (btw what language is this it reminds me much of german with seele meaning soul) and then they suddenly get names. Also the passiv pretty much is part of the r and vice versa so why not just make it one ability? Except that i love it, but i hate it xD its a great ability, but makes it so so hard to itemize against him. Great work though!

Q: Why a cone and not linear? its a sword and he is not swiping but sounds more like hitting straight in front of him. This ability makes itemezing even harder as it means that you should only buy mixed resistence as building 1 resistence item will likely kill you (especially thornmail which is great against him i think).

W: Seems ok.

E1: Waaaaay too strong. A flash on a 11s cooldown, with an included damage and blind+nearsight. Thats just insane. It is a nice ability though and i like it! E2: Pretty strong if its an instant stealth, but way more balanced than E1

Overall a great idea and i really like his abilities, but far too strong. You can just build ad bruiser and deal a ton of mixed damage and if the enemy buys too much of 1 resistance he is done for. Like the idea so so much though!

I really like his lore and kit! Very interesting hybrid damage-based form change champion. I could see even more people building GA or Zz' Rot Portal if this champ were to be released. Perhaps they should add more AR/MR items if they added this king of hybrid damage?

I've always liked ancient powerful champions. They are always just so cool.

BTW, could you check out my champion concept? I've been polishing him over the past few weeks, and I would enjoy your critique. Nefalz, The Herald of Silence

Honestly, I think the lore of these two fanmade individuals would intertwine pretty well, as they are both old and powerful.
