Collection of Control Mages [Champion Concepts]
This is just a collection of various control mages I've thought up. None of these are meant to be 'complete', this means values are incredibly subject to change and are mostly placeholders. I hope some of these thoughts inspire people to come up with champions for their favorite roles. If you have any comments or can provide some suggestions for the concepts I'm more than welcome to input
Concept #1: A scrap collector from piltover that uses scrap to kill his opponents. He is NOT resourceless, but instead has two resources (scrap and mana).
Passive: Scrap- Killing minions, enemy champions, monsters (epic, large, and small), and towers drop scrap. Scrap can be used to CAST your ultimate. You start off with your ultimate at level 1. Scrap does magnetize to you in a medium sized aoe (you can get scrap from the enemy minions from behind your caster minions).
Q: Scrap Ball: Lob a ball of junk dealing damage in an area (size of Corki q) and knock people away. leave a slowing area for 2 W: Junk Armor/Explosive Junk: Channel a defensive area, giving allies, including yourself, a stacking shield, stacks indefinitely. This shield depletes your scrap and decreases the radius as scrap depletes. Pressing the abilities again activates Explosive Junk, blowing up all the shields given by junk armor, dealing aoe magic damage based on the amount of shield. If you are cc'd out of or move during Junk Armor, you cannot activate explosive junk. The Shields deplete over 2.5 seconds E: Magnet throw- Throw a magnet, slowly dragging enemies and monsters into the center and dealing continuous damage. The damage and drag increase with power for each piece of scrap that is absorbed R: Waves of Trash: Summon a huge wave of scrap and debris, pushing enemies back and dealing damage for each second they are caught in the wave. This wave continues for 1/1.5/2 seconds. Passive: Increase the amount of scrap you receive from things Cost: 100 Scrap
Explanation of concept: A fairly traditional control mage with the added twist of a lvl 1 ultimate and odd resource management. He can dish out a good chunk of damage and scary burst with overlapping explosive junk aoes.
Concept #2: A disease mage that spreads their disease throughout the map
Passive: Disease- Disease deals damage based on a precent of current hp. It also spreads one debuff (including disease) to one nearby enemy (prioritizing champions) at the beginning of the duration. This ability will prioritize stronger cc. EX: Janna has a stun and a slow on her, she is infected with disease. when the disease ends, it spreads the stun, not the slow. Q: Toxic Swarm- Deal damage in a line, applying disease and slowing everything hit (hitbox the size of lux's binding). W: Sac of Flies- Passive: Store Fly Sacs periodically, storing a maximum of 3. Active: Toss a fly sac on the ground which stealths and arms after 1 second, lasting up to 5 minutes. While armed, fly sacs grand a small amount of vision around them. If stepped on, flies erupt from the sac, applying nearsight and disease for 1/1.5/2/2/2 seconds. E: Crippling Disease- Enemies infected with disease suddenly experience a sharp pain, taking damage and a 1 second stun. R: The Swarm- Release your form, turning into a swarm of locust. You take 40/45/55% reduced damage, move much more quickly. and gain unit walking. You deal continuous damage and apply disease to everyone in the aoe. you CANNOT cast abilities while in this state. Can be deactivated by pressing r again. Lasts 3/4/5 seconds.
Explanation of concept: Low amounts of damage limit this mages ability to deal up front burst. But, the potential to spread debuffs and control the flow of the teamfight with disease can be a terrifying force to deal with. Synergizes greatly with high cc comps.
