(Champion Concept) Anura, Seamstress of the Sands
Role: Mage
Inspiration: Shurima is my favorite region, however until now I had yet to make a concept for the region. I'm also into Ancient Egypt, so another eqyptian god type character was something that appealed to me. I also remembered that cats were sacred in Egypt, so I saw this as an indicator for what role she plays in Shuriman history.
Appearance: As you may imagine, as Renekton is based off of Sobek and Nasus off of Anubis, Anura is based off of Bastet, an Egyptian goddess of fire and cats, among other things. Also her fur is black like in the first picture.

Lore
Anura is the Shuriman goddess of fate.The events that take place in Shurima are of her planning. Malzahar's fall to the Void, the fall of Shurima's kingdom, and it's tragic rise from the grave, all of her doing. Sewing the thread of fate time and time again, anything she wanted to happen would happen.
For a reason known only by Anura, she decided to step unto the mortal plane. If she could choose how things happened in Shurima, who knows what else she could do. She decided to join the League of Legends, where she could decide the fate of even the greatest warriors.
Abilities
Passive: Escape the Fate - When Anura reaches 0, she revives after 2 seconds dealing 150/200/375 (60% Ability Power) around her and having 50/65/80% of her maximun Health and Mana. AoE radius: 600 Cooldown: 240 seconds
Design Process: She needed an ability to show that she controls her fate as well as that of others, this ability shows this as a way to not only avoid death, but to inflict in if the enemy gets stuck in the zone. Gameplay-wise, it's mainly used to help survive in lane and is a good tool in teamfights since you will be coming back ready to continue fighting after your team locks them down inside of your AoE's range.
Q: Thread of the Sands - First cast: Anura creates a sand thread where she chooses, which will idle for 3 seconds before dissipating. Second cast: The thread extends in a direction, dealing 50/75/110/155/210 (65% Ability Power) magic damage to the first enemy hit and 25/30/35/40/45% of that damage to enemies after. They also walk towards the thread's starting position at 50% speed for 1.5 seconds, .75 seconds for targets after the first Range (first cast) 500 Range (second cast): 900 Skillshot Width: 50 Mana cost: 80/85/90/95/100 Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
Design Process: As the SEAMSTRESS of the Sands, Anura should of course have an ability involving thread. I liked the idea of controlling people into going somewhere, but just an Ahri charm was boring. I had to make it more interesting. It has less range the charm on second cast, but it goes through multiple units and is set somewhere other than just Anura.
W: Destiny's Gamble - Anura takes 20% increased damage, but has a 45/50/55/60/65% chance to deal 150/155/160/165/170% damage. This lasts 4 seconds. Mana Cost: 75/80/85/90/95 Cooldown: 18 seconds
Design Process: Playing with fate should of course have consequences. You might be able to do massive damage, but that extra power makes you more vulnerable. Use this whenever you know you can do lot of damage from range and you are not in danger of getting jumped/cane'd.
E: Sand Wave - Anura turns the ground in a line into sand. After 1 second, this layer of sand will shift up and down like a wave, dealing 75/115/155/195/235 (80% Ability Power) magic damage and knocking up enemies for 1 second. Range: 800 Width: 165 Mana cost: 75/90/105/120/135 Cooldown: 16/14/12/10/8
Design Process: I've noticed not a lot of Shuriman champs make sand out of the terrain, if at all. So I thought I'd change that. She also flops the sand layer like a blanket or table cloth, which is made of thread. Seamstress. CONTEXT!
R: Requiem of the Sands - After 1 second, Anura fires a sandstorm in a large line for 3 seconds, dealing 300/450/650 (120% Ability Power) over 3 seconds, procing every .5 seconds. This cannot be moved using the mouse, however you can use W and Q during this ability. Range: 2800 Width: 350 Mana cost: 125 Cooldown: 140/120/100
Design Process: She needed something that really showed power. Controlling the sands to create such a a damaging storm to decide the fate of your enemies definitely fits her theme.
