Champion mastery level 6 & 7

Who thinks riot should add the ability to purchase blue essence? As far as i have noticed, you require blue essence to gain masteries lvl 6 and 7. The problem is, in order to get blue essence, you need champion shards in order to gain blue essence. I don't know what the whole, 2 tokens and a permanent champ thing does, but i feel like is very time consuming to stack up blue essence.
