[Champion Concept] Klu the Iron Bladesmith
I mostly got this from a fever dream, but I thought it was a pretty cool concept.
Klu the Nomadic Weaponsmith. (Name subject to change.) Klu's a young adult that walks around without any weapons on him. His clothes are tattered and dirty; he devoted his time to creating weapons rather than taking showers. Klu may seem like he's unprepared for battle, but don't underestimate him. He has weapons all around him as he uses magicks to summon random weapons out of thin air to attack with.
Passive (The Weaponry) - Klu doesn't have a mana bar, but instead keeps a weapons stash in an other dimension. Walking, auto-attacking, and waiting around increases the amount of weapons in the stash, but using abilities decreases the amount. The maximum stash limit would increase with each level.
Q (Twin Blades) - A player controlled skillshot. Klu throws two weapons as if they were boomerangs, each one takes a button press. The first one is thrown in a hook trajectory from the right side and if it lands on an enemy champ, then the enemy champ is slowed. The second weapon is thrown in hook trajectory but from the left side and if it lands on an enemy champ, then the enemy champ is rooted. Klu can walk up to the rooted enemy for an auto, ripping both blades out, which does extra damage. The ability damages minions but still passes through them. If the boomerang skill shots miss and return, then Klu gets his expended weapons refunded.
W (Polearm Defense) - Klu surrounds himself with five weapons, if an enemy is auto-attacking or near the shield they take damage since they are punching sharp things. The shield provides reduced damage and reciprocates damage for the next five enemy autos.
E (Cross-slash) - Klu dashes through a targeted enemy and slashes with two summoned swords. (It's similar to
's Q or
's E.) If the enemy is rooted with TWIN BLADES, then CROSS-SLASH procs the extra damage and adds it's own. If POLEARM DEFENSE is off cooldown, then W --> E will do extra damage, but the shield will go away immediately since all five weapons are lodged in the enemy. If Q + Q --> W --> E, then you're doing tons of damage.
R (Dance of Blades) - If Klu passes a certain amount of weapons in his stash, his ultimate is unlocked. With whatever amount of blades he has left, he will throw all of them in a certain direction within the timeframe of 3~ seconds. Klu is rooted to the spot while channeling this ability, his ultimate will last longer the more weapons he has to expend. (I'm debating whether or not you can control the direction like
's R)
The idea is resource management. You can use your QWE abilities to wear down the enemy or you can just blow your load and hit R right from the onset for an ally to follow up on. I also wanted to set up a few combos so then it would actually be fun to play this guy. Q + Q --> W --> E sounds like something that would go all aggro. Q + Q --> R is also a pretty good one. E --> W would work in a more defensive way if you feel like you put yourself in a bad position. Using the two Qs on different enemies could be useful for escape. And using E in the jungle could provide some sick attempts at escaping death.
Since the idea is so "weaponry focused", I think that making Klu as a AD Caster is probably best. I'd imagine that this character would be from Ionia. That's kind of the feeling that I get from the skill list.
