Fortnite is taking over league. 2 days ago nightblue3 even quit league of legends for fortnite. The only way to beat fortnite is to have riot games make a battle royale game? Should riot games make a battle royale game? And Do you think it will be more popular than fortnite?

Overwatch was taking over lol 1 year ago as far as I can recall. Everybody was saying how overwatch will steal all of lol players and here we are again where everybody is playing lol again. The same will happen with fortnite. Fortnite is not even that fun. But we are in the era of battle royale games right now too.

We all know how Fortnite is just a kind of a game that will get popular for sometime then it will fall down

A strange new opposing force will almost always seem like the very thing that'll dominate the old and familiar. It happens all of the time. If people want to move on to something new, why should it be a concern? It's impossible for something to appeal to a mass of people for an indefinite amount of time. Eventually people will move on to what they consider to be better for them, and that's perfectly fine.

I'm inclined to believe that Fortnite will be potentially strong for its own reason, but I don't think it's the type of game that will overtake a MOBA giant. The gameplay is just too different, and appeals to a different style of competitive gaming. Given that the game is not fully released yet, I feel like it's unfair for me to give a solid opinion, but I'm doubtful.

I don't think Nightblue3 should be the threshold for thinking League is in any danger. Not to diminish his capabilities as a streamer, but I don't think after his brief stint as a TSM sub he had real prospects of going Pro. I don't blame him for getting burnt out, but he went as far as he can go with League. Actually, I don't think any streamer leaving at all should be considered a danger to League. They represent themselves, and entertain a portion of the population. They don't represent the interests or thoughts of that population in most cases. Maybe, MAYBE, if qtpie quit people would follow, but more likely than not people would just put his stream on their second monitor or phone while they play League .
