Champion Concept for a Summoner and Summon

Or more accurately a pair of characters that I think you could take ideas from, at least in how they interact in and out of combat. Alexandria and Courtauld are characters that I've had for a few years that I've just kept re-making and adding on too, and I just thought of an interesting kit for them so I wanted to share it.

Passive: Silver Demon's Contract Alexandria and Courtauld's healthbar is split between them, with Alexandria getting two fifths and Courtauld getting three fifths, if Alexandria dies Courtauld can stay in lane until she respawns and then leaps over to her, if Courtauld dies Alexandria can stay in lane until he respawns and re-summon him. Courtauld is controlled with Alt+Right click while Alexandria uses regular Right clicks. They cannot move more than a certain distance away from eachother, at which point Courtauld is pulled back to Alexandria.

Q: Strike Upwards!/Rising Combo! Strike Upwards!: When away from each other Alexandria slashes upwards, dealing a bit of magic damage in a thin line and interrupting channels, at the same time Courtauld kicks upwards, dealing moderate magic damage in front of him and knocking up enemies hit. Rising Combo!: When near each other Courtauld knocks up enemies in front of him, dealing small magic damage before he and Alexandria both strike forward as they're about to reach the ground, knocking back enemies hit and dealing heavy magic damage

W: Deflect, Counter!/Deflect and Counter! Deflect, Counter!: When away from each other Alexandria parries with her buckler, stunning enemies attacking in front of her within a short range, Courtauld winds up a strong kick, dealing moderate damage to and knocking back the next enemy within melee range that hits him during the duration. Deflect and Counter!: When near each other Alexandria parries with her buckler, stunning enemies attacking in front of her within a short range, Courtauld then kicks enemies, knocking them back and dealing heavy damage.

E: Going In!/Launch Me! Going In!: When away from each other Alexandria and Courtauld charge in the direction of the cursor, Courtauld lets out a quick sweeping kick when they reach their destination while Alexandria thrusts her bastard sword forward, if both hit the same target they deal bonus heavy magic damage. Throw Me!: When near each other Courtauld winds up for an upward kick and Alexandria jumps up to perch on his foot, launching her to the target location after a delay. There is no indication until right before she lands, sweeping her sword down diagonally and dealing heavy magic damage in a small area in front of her.

R: Silver Rush! Can be used when Alexandria and Courtauld are near or far from eachother. Courtauld dashes in the target direction stopping at the first enemy hit and stunning them before kicking them back to Alexandria as her sword glows, she then sweeps her sword in a wide arc, discharging a large amount of arcane energy dealing heavy magic damage in front of her, stopping at Courtauld. Afterwards their auto attacks gain a magic damage buff for a short time.

Alexandria and Courtauld would be a heavy AP bruiser assassin team, with plenty of options in teamfights with area damage and major damage during laning phase. Courtauld would serve as the bruiser of the two, having the higher health pool and some minor CC in Strike Upwards!, while Alexandria is the assassin of the two, being more capable of getting in with Launch Me! doing damage, and then using Deflect, Counter to stun whoever she just landed on as Courtauld distracts the frontline. Alternatively Courtauld could dash in, using Silver Rush on an unsuspecting Squishy before Alexandria releases a blast of arcane fury, leaving most of the enemy team heavily damaged or dead with proper positioning before using Going In! to dash into the middle and get in another good hit as the rest of their team mops up.

Together they have would higher health and damage than most champions at the cost of lower scaling and requiring keeping track of two characters at once, both being equally important, and also having AOE damage be their bane as while they would have higher health combined they each have comparatively low health on their own, with Courtauld's defenses being outclassed by every other tank or bruiser while Alexandria would be squishier than all the other carries, plus for abilities and items that stack off deaths killing them is far more beneficial as both count as champions. Their main counters would be are characters like Anivia, Aurelion, and Darius for these reasons. Anivia has high area damage and can lock down both of them in it with both her wall and her stun, Aurelion has area damage just as high with a way to get them off him, and Darius can get both of them bleeding and then dunk them both near immediately. Champions would that work well with them are champions like Soraka, Janna, and any tank that builds Locket. Soraka because her root and silence allow Alexandria to get in more safely while also giving her ult six targets including herself instead of five, Janna can put her shield on either of them before they go in and, again, ult more people, and tanks building locket just gives more total shields that can save their lives because their both a bit squishier than everyone else.

Anyways, that's all I have for now, do with these ideas what you will, and keep up the good work Riot. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Is there any backstory or imagery I could use for context?

I would recommend cutting back on the choreography.

Too much is being done in each move. Try to keep things at the general level of Riven or Xin Zhao. You can use the actions in the abilities as auto-attack animations.

"It honestly isn't that much more than someone like Camille, Kha'zix, or Kayn. Just the fact that there's two entities performing actions at once, and even then when they're apart most of the actions are pretty similar in function to avoid confusion."

It's largely just that there are two entities involved with every action, and the addition of an additional function based on proximity to your partner.

"The only one that really has them doing a lot would be their ult, and even then there's not many more actions than, say, Yasuo in there, with it being a flashy stun and then AOE slash, with 6 distinct actions, the dash and the stun, then the knockback and slash, then the end and short buff."

That's way too much CC. You basically just put Orianna's Q, Xerath's E, LS's ult, Riven's ult, and a stronger version of Corki's passive in one move.

I'd recommend using the "Power skip" design for this character's ult. (Basically, you take your character's strengths and weaknesses into account, then let the ult override one of the character's most prominent weaknesses.)
