Zeeta - The Bloodbinder (1 of 3)
Hi All,
So not done one of these before and am not convinced that riot ever put all the awesome ideas posted here to use, but for the lols I felt like doing a few champion concepts I'd like to see. There will be 3, and each one will take time, but I hope to hear your comments and thoughts on each.
For my first one I'm gunna go for what I'd like to see in the next Darkin: a Control Mage.
The basis of Zeeta is from the new Swain lore.
Within the Immortal Bastion he discovered an ancient entity, preying on the dying and consuming their secrets.
This, combined with the Darkin's use of blood magic, really opens up options for strategic control mage who can use their own abilities against them (but not be as broken as Zoe xD), and can therefore act as a kind of counter mage.
Passive: Bloodbind Zeeta's abilities apply a stack of Bloodbind to enemy champions for 5 seconds (max 5 stacks). Damaging an enemy with Bloodbind will drain 0.75% (Max 3%) of their maximum mana and 0.5% (Max 2%) of their maximum HP per stack, restoring this to Zeeta. At 5 stacks Bloodbind will be consumed stunning the target for 1 second and the target will become Bloodbound, applying a burn for 30% of the mana regained, and 15% of the HP regained each second for 3 seconds as magic damage.
The idea of this is to give Zeeta some HP and mana sustain that is pretty core to all of the Darkin, while also giving her some offensive potential. Most of her kit will be focused countering her opponents and will also carry a HP cost in addition to her mana costs.
Q: Siphion Life Range: 700 Mana Cost: 55/65/75/85/95 HP Cost: 5% Current HP Cooldown: 7/7/6/6/5 (seconds) Zeeta draws the life from those within a cone in front of her (625 units) dealing 70/130/190/250/310 (+ 75% AP) magic damage. Killing an enemy minion or monster restores 10% of the damage done to it as HP.
Waveclear and obvious sustain. Also a good poke to build up those passive stacks.
W: Blood Shield Range: Self Mana Cost: 75 HP Cost: 15% Current HP Cooldown: 20 seconds Zeeta surrounds herself with a shield of flowing blood for 2 seconds that absorbs abilities cast into it and reflects them back at her enemies with 50% (+10% per 200 AP) effectiveness. Skillshots are fire back to the point they were cast from and are considered to be cast by Zeeta. Does not reflect Ultimates
This is her escape without too much power. It chunks her hp, but allows her to avoid damage for a short period while having the reflective power her kit is designed to use.
E: Clot Range: 600 Mana Cost: 75/80/85/90/95 HP Cost: 10% Current HP Cooldown: 15 seconds Zeeta creates an quagmire of clotting blood 500 units wide for 5 seconds that slows enemies within by 40%/45%/50%/55%/60% and drains bonus 10% of their current bonus stats per second while dealing them damage based on the stats drained (80% of their AD, 50% of their AP, 2% of their HP, 5% of their mana and 50% of MR/Armour) every second.
The idea of this is to continue with the "the stronger you are the more damage I'll do" style of play. Clot is designed to punish those that are ahead, while not be massively effective against those behind. It can also be used to good effect against mobile champions thanks to the slow, and aid in waveclear as minions have the stats it uses to do damage.
While it might look broken, here's a nice stat heavy mage build to give an idea of the damage:
Roa Ludens Rylais Liandries Deathcap Merc Treads
With these items the mage (Malzahar in this case) has the following stats: HP: 3116 HP - 62 damage Mana: 1842 - 92 damage AP: 684 - 342 damage AD: 106 - 85 damage MR: 64 - 32 damage Armour: 78 - 39 damage
Total: 652 damage - 39% MR reduction = 398 damage per second.
That's pretty reasonable at full build.
R: Crush the Dying Range: 600 Mana Cost: 100/150/200 HP Cost: 10%/20%/30% Current HP Cooldown: 180/160/140 seconds Zeeta unleashes a bolt of blood magic at the target dealing them 200/275/350 (+70% AP) damage plus 10% per stack of Bloodbind (50% if Bloodbound). Killing a champion with Crush the Dying will allow you to use your opponents ultimate while Crush the Dying is on Cooldown.
This is designed to be an execute without the execute. Using it at the end of your "combo" will give the best results, but can also be used without it. The addition of being able to steal the enemies "secret" or Ultimate will allow her some cool interactions and counterplays, but will also require her to pick her target wisely.
So yeah, this is my idea for the next Darkin. It would be a pretty unique champion, but unlike many recent champions that snowball and take over, this is one that would play much more passively, allowing her opponents to destroy themselves.
What do you guys think? (be gentle, it's my first time xD)
