Champion idea...Orion, the dual magic dragon mage.

Hello all :D I talked about in my first post about an intro discussion, now this is the 2nd post, about giving you some of this champ's story, since to be honest I did not go full detailed about this champs background.One of the things I have to is sorry if its not as organized or there are some grammar errors, I'm terribly sorry for that if there's any. Also, The champ's abilities is the 3rd last section or 3rd last paragraph, but the story talks about bit of those abilities. This is 1 out of 5 champs so far. Hope you all enjoy this champion idea and the story behind it. Also, I want to thank you all for taking the time to read this post, it really means a lot to me and I really hope you enjoy this discussion :)

I debated to myself to go either a young dragon or young drake, with drakes already in League of Legends, I thought I'll go with a young upright dragon with two arms and two legs (bipedal) mage approximately by 6’56 in feet or two meters tall, just letting you know that think of a dragon that is a mage without any human characteristics, with a robe, that show his face along with his wings shown but not fully opened (in-game you can take off the hood).

With his story...in his homeland there were two different clans, one for dragons that are warriors and another for dragons that are mages. Deep somewhere in a hidden land, known as Dragon’s Lair, away from societies. There were two clans that lived together in harmony; the first clan I’m going to be talking a bit is the dragons that are warriors, who ruled with, who was strong, with leadership skills, and with knowledge of tactics of the battlefield, along with a code they live by as well. Also, they want their leader who can make peace with the mage clan. The other clan that has mages had lived by with honor, philosophy, and honesty. Since the mage clan wanted a peaceful society. They can be ready to defend at any moment knowing to defend their clan; they too wanted to make peace with the warrior clan. Since both sides wanted to make peace with each other, to live along side with one another, since they cannot survive without each other’s help. Since one might think of one ruling against the other, why not go to war? Both clans had their conflicts with each other, but decided to not go to war, because they did not want to see their own people getting hurt, about who wanted to be the best clan or to be number one. In that aftermath, a thought arises as to how these dragons can show or hone their own skills, since the warriors were victorious in multiply duels or in team fighting in many years. A few times mages won though, it was shown how the warriors surpassed the dragon mages by a half tier. Since the warriors have great endurance, physical capabilities, and fierce. But for the mages, they were able to hold out on their own too, but not as strong as the warriors, since the mages were able to adapt to magic along the way of sharpening their skills against the warriors. Some of the mages adapted to either AoE (Area of Effect)/powerful spells that the warriors have to be wary, the mages can be able to sometimes corner the warrior(s). Or, the mages have an idea to be able to create their own battlefield (a land base spell that enhances allies, basically increases survivability) and cast spells at the opponent of lowering their stats a bit or use spell enchantments to themselves to increase their combat efficiency to go on par with them, also they can be used on allies, it is not as fully effective enhancing others than themselves.

With this in the past of this told tale by a young dragon, we are in the present of a young dragon that is a mage, when the young dragon fought against a warrior in a duel of sparing, after the sparing was over with the warrior, even though it was a friendly spar, the warrior said with a honest smile and statement "You did well, you have promise in the future with your capabilities and knowledge" and I said with a smile "Thank you for the friendly spar". But at the end of the spar when walking away proud, he knew deep inside, he was not fighting with intention of not just winning, but to gain experience. But the sense of defeat, even if he did try to win, “I would have lost by a margin.” So, over time learning how mages still lack the proper spells to actually overcome the warriors. While thinking and performing of various ways of to win against the warriors to show them. “We are a fierce as them.” since it is not only to bring honor to ourselves and accomplishment, but to bring honor to all the mages as well. So, while I thought in ways to increase one's endurance with enhancement spells, tried a type of dual magic, but “It seems something is missing, it can work, the issue is finding the right type of balance for this magic to make it work, perhaps fire and ice? To gain increase stats for allies while decreasing theirs?” Since the thought of this young dragon’s spells, of an enhancement spell, to increase combat efficiency and a powerful spell has to takes a few moments to charge up, possibly, to deal massive damage. So he tried to think of many different ways, but his views are very limited and thought to that in the outside of this land "There must be strong spells out there somewhere, a whole new world out there, but where to start? I cannot exactly leave my own home, nor leave the Dragon’s Lair." So, thinking and finally deciding to leave a note about the journey, giving a farewell notice to my family, about the idea of traveling the outside world, then I left. The eventually read it, but the young dragon was already gone. But the family accepted it for there is a reason why they did, so they welcomed the idea and granted him permission if he was there still. The young dragon did not know this of how the family accepted it.

Now viewing the long journey, before leaving, a pair of voices halted the young dragon steps. Stopped by a pair of older dragons both a warrior and a mage; they were the leader of their own clan. They handed some supplies and equipment to me, I was very unsure with why they are being this way since, when dragons leave, they do not just leave, it is forbidden, unless special permission. Since no contact with the outside world has been made in such a long time, the dragons worry for their own home and to think about their own people. But in this case something very odd. The leaders presented themselves. They talked about their philosophy of how their own different views, of the outside of the world from both the mage and warrior. The warrior said "Be very victorious, strong, and handle yourself well, but be careful of the void creatures, since they are a formidable foe to go against and very dangerous, I fought one a very long time ago when it was getting closer to our home, it was a strange being, it was almost as if it was evolving a little before I fought it. It was a tie in the end, we were both exhausted and I retreated since I had to create a unit to prepare to deal with it if it got any closer, but I never saw it again. Another type of being is what they call themselves is the Darkin, now they are not someone you want to fight in your state of power, young mage. More than several leaders before me, of my clan, fought against one. He lost the battle, but was able to come back alive in very bad shape, and had to recover for more than a decade. Recently I’ve heard rumors of this Darkin, I think they called it Rhaast” The young dragon did hear stories a bit of who were of the void creatures, but he never came across one. This is the first time hearing about the Darkin. The young dragon thought “Are they that powerful? If so why are there not any stories about them? Nor a unit to prepare counters measures?” Then mage came up to the young dragon, after the warrior leader finished “Be respectful towards others along your journey, some might be hostile while some are more welcoming. Also, times have changed out there, since were both are over 150 years old, we both are getting old. You have to be patient. Also, I did see your dual magic; it was intriguing, since we haven’t seen that kind of magic. We are allowing you special permission from both clans, to let you see what the world is, and then eventually we will allow one warrior to embark their journey. Just like you.” Then the warrior stepped in after the mage finished, “This kind of process is allowed, because it is being chosen to be the next leader of their clan, we may be a small society, but all of us care for one another. Since we decided that you will be the next mage clan leader when you return” The young dragon knew what the warrior was saying, as time goes on; the next generation has to be next in line to take on the future decisions. “I will make you both proud; I will find potentially new magic, be more wise, and caring. Thank you both, of your advice and the supplies.” Then the young dragon waved goodbye to the two clan leaders, then both of the clan leaders said at the same time just before the young dragon was out of sight, “Good luck Orion!” After hearing them, Orion feels more confident than ever. Now he goes forth on his journey to make everyone proud and to become the next clan leader for the mages. To now fulfill the need of wanting to know more about this land, magic, and becoming the next leader. When he returns home he wants to share his stories to everyone for what the outside world looks like.

Now his abilities, when I thought of his abilities I tried to go for something new or a variety. But I scrapped quite a few ideas of his abilities. Like for instance of an ult like Jayce, of switching out from fire spells and Ice spells. But then I thought that might be too much. Also I didn’t add some of the damages part since I don’t have a rough idea of what can be stable, since the abilities are a lot to say. Let me know what you guys think of this champ’s abilities :D if I need to redo it or rearrange it. I didn’t add some of the mana cost. Hope you enjoy this champ’s abilities, since like I said I several ideas to go for but they are a bit different.

Passive: Dual magic, his passive is able to use some of his abilities of his fire and ice, to provide interaction for either allies, opponents, or to oneself. (WIP, for now of those abilities). Fire scar is applied when the enemy is standing on Dragon’s Sector or when Fire Breath is applied, max of 2 stacks, and each stack cause 30 burning damage total. Absolute zero is activated if Ice Armor is active for the duration to oneself. Absolute zero is applied then the enemies are frozen of 0.35 secs then defrost, cannot apply Absolute zero again to the same target for another 10-8.5-7 seconds (level 7-11-17). Q: Dragon Fire/ Dragon Blizzard: either 10 or 8 second cooldown: when you press Q he launches a fireball at a distance of 525 range (Skill shot) and damages opponents (AoE spell). While on Dragon’s Sector, when you press Q he uses Fire breath in front of his targets and applies burning that applies a stack of Fire Scars (think of Dragon Fire 2nd part ability of Q as if a dragon breathing fire at distance of 350). When having Ice Armor active to oneself, Dragon Blizzard is activated, this ability is like the second part of Dragon fire, instead of fire breath, it is ice breath, which Ice breath applies Absolute zero. W: Dragon’s Sector: either 15 or 20 seconds cooldown: This ability is a land base spell that enhances allies and damages the enemy. This spell targets an area that lasts for 4.5 seconds. When allies are on the Dragon’s Sector, the ground appears to be Ice, since it enhances their defensive stats by increasing a max total of 30 armor/magic resist when the skill is maxed out. 10-15-20-25-30 defensive stats. If the opponent sees Dragon’s Sector it appears a light red color (color to be determined) an enemy stands in this area, they get one stack of Fire scar, which burns them if they stand in Dragon’s Sector. Max burning damage from this ability is 30 E: Dragon Ice Armor: 8 second cooldown: This self-ability that has duration of 2.5 seconds, which give an Ice health, 50-75-100-125-150. When duration is over or when the Ice health disappears from damage, no permanent health gained (similar to Skarner’s W, just non shield, like greyed health). It gives Orion defensive stats up to max of 15-15-20-25-30 adaptive. First ability hit with, gain defensive stats from either armor or magic resist, until Dragon Ice Armor duration is over. Gains Dragon Blizzard and overrides Dragon’s sector (cannot use Fire breath if Dragon Ice Armor if activated). R: Binary elemental: cooldown is 130-110-90: Orion uses the power of fire and ice to infuse within him and target’s an area for certain duration of 1.25 second, becoming unstoppable in this process. Then unleashes the ability to that area called unstable zone and turns the terrain a lightly purple color (This applies both Fire scar and Absolute zero which overrides the passive, the only time it can additionally apply a 3rd Fire scar stack. Also, it can reapply Absolute zero, even on the same target again). Now you cannot target abilities like Dragon’s Sector or activate the ability Dragon Ice Armor (if walked in while it was activated before, it will end duration immediately) towards unstable zone.

With this part of his ultimate, I thought an idea for Orion; let me know what you all think :) Orion creates an area called unstable zone, when he walks in it, he becomes a dragon, by becoming a dragon by infusing the magic of fire and ice. His abilities change, if he is in dragon form his W and R can be activated only, if you Press W you breathe purple fire which causes the opponent to get a stack of Fire scar from the fire magic and slow the enemies down by 10% from the ice magic. If you want to cancel your dragon form for you just press R once, but once you do and you try to return the unstable zone, you would not become a dragon (cool down to become a dragon once more is 49.5 seconds).
