Borya, The Forest's Eye
Hey again! I've been really into making champion concepts lately (you can find the link to the other concepts right below), and I was inspired to make another on that's been on my mind.
I know that we already have a Sniper (
) in League of Legends, but I didn't really feel like she felt like one. Sure she's able to do the damage and the looks a sniper would have, but her overall demeanor didn't really do it for me (especially her outfit lmao, that ain't no outfit a sniper would have).
So I thought I'd like to try my hands at making a more conventional sniper style champion which is right below. I hope you enjoy this champ concept, and as always, lots of feedback is always wanted! :)

Location: Runeterra (outside Demacian borders)
Backstory:
Originally growing up within the borders of Demacia, Borya was raised on a small farm with his family, but had a keen eye towards weaponry and hunting from an early age. By the age of 14, Borya was already doing most of the hunting with his father’s custom sniper. He didn’t have a specific aspiration he hoped to achieve in his lifetime; he simply wanted to live a calm life with his family on their farm. But one day when Borya was 24 years of age, he and his family found their farm suddenly under attack by a group of raiders, resembling those from Noxus. Demacian soldiers had flooded the scene almost immediately and fighting began within their crops in the distance, so they did what they were ordered to; hide in their home and retreat if the Demacians did. Borya, wanting the extra protection in the case things went south, fled the house for their barn further away from the combat, and snatched his sniper rifle, hidden within the haybales inside the barn. But he could start to hear a rumbling noise as he exited the barn. For a second, he couldn’t see anything that would be doing that, until he looked up; and saw the massive colossus itself descending upon the farm. For just a second, Borya felt reassurance and safety knowing that Demacia’s jewel protector was here to save everyone… until he landed right on the house. The crater that was created almost reached the barn himself as he fell to his knees in utter shock, while he simply heard the massive stone man shout, “Time. For. JUSTICE!” and proceeded to stomp towards the battle, smashing any foes it came across. He fled, as far he could and as fast as he could across the open land, not once looking back at the bloody fight, in fear of seeing the area he didn’t want to see. Before he knew it, he had stopped in the midst of a dense deciduous forest, green leaves flowing around him and streams of sunlight shining through the gaps in the trees. Still holding what was left of his cherished memories, he began walking forward, never once changing his direction, on the brink of tears once again. He came across a small creek, flowing elegantly. He leaned down and drank from it, trying to take his mind off his horror. For the first time in his life, he finally knew what he hoped to achieve. Hearing a sound ahead of him just up the creek, he looked up and saw a smooth buck drinking from the same creek, it’s fur a unique light gray… like the stone colossus’. Slowly changing position, he took up his sniper rifle, aiming down the scope, its crosshairs aimed straight at its heart. For the first time in his life, he finally knew what he hoped to achieve. “I will destroy that colossus.” And he pulled the trigger; a dull thud and a splash of water following afterwards.
Stats:
Health: 524 – 1,802 (+71 each Level) Health Regen: 5.5 – 15.94 (+0.58 each Level) Mana: 315 – 981 (+37 each Level) Mana Regen: 7.4 – 16.22 (+0.49 each Level) Ranged: 650 Attack Damage: 54 – 89.28 (+1.6 each Level) Attack Speed: 0.543 (+ 0 – 68%) Armor: 22.75 – 82.69 (+3.33 each Level) Magic Resist: 30.1 – 35.86 (+0.32 each Level) Move Speed: 325
Abilities:
Passive: Patient Hunter
Borya is extremely accurate, and able to hit those who aren’t cautious. Additionally, accustomed to surviving in the wild, Borya excels in combat within the jungle.
Sniper Eye: Borya gains 2% critical strike chance equal to his level (2% at level 1 – 36% at level 18)
Experienced Hunter: Borya gains the following benefits while in the jungle:
- 50 bonus vision
- 5 bonus movement speed
- 4% bonus critical strike chance
Ammunition: Instead of using mana, Borya uses ammunition to fuel most of his abilities. Borya starts with 8 clips (+1 clip/level (9 clips at Level 1)). Ammunition Borya does not replenish over time. Whenever Borya returns to the fountain, he refills his ammunition to max.
If Borya ever runs out of ammunition, or is unable to use his abilities for insufficient clips, he stows his rifle and switches to knives gaining the following stat:
Melee: 350 All attacks Borya makes against enemies gain an extra 1% Armor Penetration/level (18% at Level 18)
Q: Hunter Bunker
Borya lays out a small and easily constructed bunker of rocks, twigs, and leaves. The bunker is 200 units in diameter, and units can move through it. The bunker has health equal to 13%/15%/17%/19%/21% of Borya’s maximum health when this ability was cast. It does not regenerate health. Borya can enter and leave a bunker by right-clicking it while near it, or to a location when inside of it. He can only have a max of 1/2/3/4/5 bunkers at a time. Placing one while he is at his max will remove the one that has been on the map the longest.
While inside the bunker, Borya gains 30%/35%/40%/45%/50% bonus armor and an extra 25 attack range, and cannot move. Upon entering, the bunker also receives 5%/10%/15%/20%/25% bonus armor and magic resistance equal to Borya's armor and magic resistance for 3 seconds, or if he exits the bunker. After this happens, the bunker has a 10 second cooldown before receiving this benefit again. Additionally, when Borya enters a bunker, he is camoflauged until he makes a basic attack against an enemy within range (his health bar will appear over the bunker), or leaves the bunker.
The bunker can be damaged by enemy minions, basic attacks, and damaging abilities. Enemies attacking Borya while he is inside the bunker will attack the bunker first, delivering any on-hit effects to the bunker but not Borya himself (think Malzahar ultimate on the bunker, except Borya doesn't become suppressed).
Only Borya can enter/leave a bunker.
Cooldown: 19/18/17/16/15 seconds. **Ammo Cost: ** 1/1/2/2/2 clips.
W: Steady Your Aim
Borya steadies himself and waits for the right moment. Breath In: After a 2 second channel, Borya becomes rooted in place and stealthed, gaining an extra 350/375/400/425/450/475 vision around him and true sight within 700 units of him (think of a Xerath ultimate how the screen expands). Taking damage during the channel will interrupt this effect and immediately put it on cooldown. Additionally, he gains an extra 250/275/300/325/350 attack range. Breathe In cannot be used while Borya is inside a Hunter Bunker. This effect ends if Borya is stunned, rooted, or silenced while affected by Breathe In. Borya can reactivate this ability at any time while affected by Breathe In to end the effect.
Breathe Out: The next time Borya makes a basic attack against an enemy, it deals an extra **110/120/130/140/150 (+20% Attack Damage)**physical damage. If Borya is in a bush when this happens, this attack deals additional damage equal to 5%/9%/13%/17%/21% of Borya's maximum health. This basic attack can also critically strike, but won’t amplify the bonus damage of this ability. After this happens, Borya becomes no longer stealthed and no longer rooted and this ability goes on cooldown.
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds. Ammo Cost: 1/1/2/2/3 clips.
If out of ammo, Steady Your Aim becomes Dagger Toss.
W: Dagger Toss Borya tosses a throwing dagger in a line ahead of him. Borya throws his dagger in a 700 unit line ahead of him, dealing 90/100/110/120/130 (+30% Attack Damage) to the first enemy hit. Borya has 2 throwing daggers, so the first time this is used, the ability does not go on cooldown. It goes on cooldown once both daggers have been thrown. Whenever the cooldown refreshes, it restores 1 throwing dagger up to his max of 2.
Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds.
E: Salt Lick
Borya places a carefully crafted trap at a location within range. Borya places a small block of Salt Lick within 450 units of him. The block is 100 units in diameter and becomes stealthed after 1.5 seconds of being placed. These traps last for 1.5/2/2.5 minutes before being removed. There is no limit to the amount of Salt Lick Borya can place at a time, however, their activation radii cannot overlap with each other.
After 2 seconds of being placed, an enemy who moves within 150 units of a Salt Lick activates it, as it springs up at them and affects all enemies within 250 units. All affected enemies are revealed for 2/2.5/3 seconds, take 60/70/80/90/100 (+15% Ability Power) magic damage, and are slowed by 10% for 1 second.
Salt Lick can only be placed within the jungle.
**Cooldown: **30/27/24/21/18 seconds.
R: Listen For Their Heartbeat
Upon being cast, adds 1 Full Metal Jacket round. Borya can recast this ability as many times as he wants, adding an extra FMJ round with cost equal to its base + the nmber of FMJ rounds already equipped (4 for the first cast, 5 for the second, etc.). Borya can only have a max of 3/4/5 FMJ rounds at a time. The next time Borya uses Steady Your Aim while he has at least 1 FMJ round, he instead enters a 5/4.5/4 second channel before becoming stealthed and able to move around for the next 20 seconds.
Additionally, during this time, he can now hear enemy's heartbeat within 750/800/850 units of himself each second (an enemy spotted this way would simply put out a faded red circle at the location they were at during that second).
During this time, every basic attack Borya makes uses 1 FMJ round. These rounds deal 150% Attack Damage instead of 100% and give an extra 30%/35%/40% Armor Penetration. If the attack critically hits, the bonus damage is instead increased to 200% instead of 150%.
This effect ends once Borya has used all his FMJ rounds, he is stunned, silenced, or rooted, or after 20 seconds have passed. Afterwards, this ability goes on cooldown.
**Cooldown: **95/90/85 seconds. Ammo Cost: 4 Clips.
Hope you guys enjoyed another one of my champion concepts, and again, be sure to give me some feedback! :) Peace! [slayer-jinx-catface]
