A slightly change to Position Exclusion to give it a shot again
Since the testing on LAS and LAN didnt fullfill the needs, lets make a small adjustment! Insteadt of a 100% exclusion, make it a "prefer not to play" exclusion. This should not tax the Queue times, while still giving people the choice to exclude unwanted roles as much as possible. Yes the majority will still select support as the excluded role, but it would help to make fill better viable.
We could then, ontop, make the "exclude supp" an agreement towards a longer queue time, meaning that they are willing to wait longer just to not get sup, extending the timewindow in which possible games could show up. If after this extendet time window still no fitting game is found, then they will be autofilled. This would indeed tax the Queue times of them a bit more, but they agreed to wait longer to possible get a fitting match.
** Positiv:**
- more people would pick fill, possible decreasing queue times and/or getting more roles filled.
- would increase the happiness, when getting autofilled and not placed at the excluded role.
- increase of happiness, when a fitting game is found in the extended timeframe
Negativ:
- a bit frustration, if still getting the excluded role, even after the extended timeframe. (but honestly this should be on the same level as beeing autofilled, maybe a bit more, if you dont make it clear that this is ONLY A PREFERENCE and not an 100% EXCLUSION! )
- increase of queue times when prefering not to play sup. BUT they agreed to wait longer in queue, so it is not that bad! (But we still have the goal to make them as short as possible, thats why i placed it under negativ)
