Akil: The Scholar of the Sands / Amineh: the Cursed Bloodline
The Scholar of the sands: Akil (Wise) The Cursed Bloodline: Amineh (Faithful)
Akil and Amineh are a champion concept I came up with in which they move around together as one champion. Though the thought of coding them in to the game seems to be a chore, I feel that in a way it is possible to make this happen. Hitboxes for the champions was the one part that made this all a chore to work out in thought. What I came up with in the end was in thought of using a circle as their combined hitbox. ti is split down the middle to compensate for each of them being out. When Amineh is weaponized the hitbox will change for Akil, centering Akil inside the circular hitbox.
LORE: For years he has secluded himself in the desert. Deep within under the grounds of the Shurima desert. Born a man with the ability to see all around him, from lands far away to even the stars. He was a well-known scholar in his time, teaching the younger minds about the world around them. Every imperfection in the world that balanced with the perfections.
Ever since he was young he has recorded everything that has taken place in the world the day he met Amineh. She was born of the same year as him and known him since their younger days when they would play on the outskirts of Shurima. He had revolted against the kingdom of Shurima, and she stood by him every second, almost mindlessly. She had an aptitude for writing and enjoyed studying the great texts from the people who lived before her. Amineh would write down everything that took place around her, and could always find what made a person weak just by reading their body language.
She too was born with great potential; the ability to turn herself into an unspeakable weapon passed down every bi generation of her family. The blade Khiana (Betrayal) flows in her bloodline and kills the member of the family who controls it when a new one is born. That was her grandmother, a well-known thief in her time. Around the time the royal family was attacked my assassins bent on killing the bloodline, all that remained was Azir and the emperor, protected by Xerath and Renekton. Akil did not sit well with the thought of his homeland being torn apart from the outside in. From that day, he studied more of the ancient texts in the Library of Nasus. Studying the greats texts of emperors who ruled before Azir. It was then he realized their ways were not just.
Soon the great Shurima fell into a deep paranoia from the murder, with the emperor searching for his sons’ killers. The great kingdom he once knew was fading away. Akil did not stand for what would face his homeland. He knew action must be taken to save the people. With Amineh by his side, they sought on killing the emperor and rushed to fight for the voiceless. They had infiltrated the temple and sought to murder the king and heir to the throne. But to no avail, they were foiled. Once they reached the emperor to make the final blow, they were struck down by Azir who stood just feet away from the entrance. Knocked down and surrounded by the remaining guards, they were forced to surrender.
They were lucky not to have been killed. Instead, Akil was sent to exile deep within the caves of the desert. Within the caves, they were sealed with ancient runs to stop the two from aging, but in turn, locked them beneath the ground. With no way out, and surrounded by large creatures and monsters, they were sent to die horrible deaths. For decades they’ve trained underground, fighting for survival, recording the events of everyone in the land above. They have the knowledge of the greatest men and women of runterra.
The day the runic seal broke from their underground prison is they say they knew it was their time. He knew Shurima needed a real king, but after decades of watching over the land, he knew the world was his for the taking.
DESIGN
Akil: Akil is a slim middle-aged man with black and gray hair. His head is slim with a scarf wrapped around him. He is fairly fit dressed in academic attire. His choice of weapon is a short dagger with two pronged tips to which he dubbed Inkwell. Akil has a noticeable tattoo on his forehead representing an eye from Egyptian culture. When using his power, the eye will glow yellow along with his eyes.
Amineh: Amineh is a slender woman with arbs covering most of her body, notably her face. Because of her bloodline, she is marked with permanent full body tattoos that read of the wielders of her weapon before her. She carries a similar short dagger as Akil but with a curved tip. She transforms into a double ended Egyptain axe blade. Along the handle of the weapon is a line in Hebrew, altahaduth ean sawtihim (Speak for the Voiceless) These lines also make up the design of her body tattoos, along with the names of the women before who wielded her weapon.
ABILITIES:
I’ve Got Your Back: Amineh can block oncoming attacks from enemy monsters and champions once every so often depending on the points put into their ultimate (40/35/30/20) the block will result in a jab attack in the direction of the attack (Akil is mobile while the strike is in effect) Amineh will also reduce damage taken for Akil if they are struck by CC
Q: One Man Catch: Akil throws Amineh out in a skill shot, gaining movement speed until she returns to him. Where she is placed she will spin in her weapon form dealing damage to anyone caught in it. When she is caught by Akil he will attack in a cone in front of him. (10/9/8/7/6)
W: Eyes of the Ancients: Akil can gain vision of one target area for a duration of time depending on how many points are in his ultimate (4/6/8/8) If an enemy champion is marked by the vision they will be marked and be visible. this cannot be used in the first three minutes of the game. (50/40/30/20/15)
E: Passive: any champion that is marked by Eye of the Ancients will receive extra damage from ally champions attacks.
Vaulting Strike: Akil will use Amineh and pole vault from a position in front of him to a targeted location. Any minion monster or champion will take damage from the initial vault. Any minion monster or champion caught at the end of it will be slowed and revive damage. (20/19/17/15/13)
R: Wrath of Khiana: in a wide skill shot in front of him, Akil will wield Ahimeh and launch three slashing projectiles. Enemies caught by this will be marked by Eyes of the Ancients will be slowed for each hit. (85/75/65)
