Champion Lore [Bel'Nox the Apocalypse of the Void]
This is a continued version of the Bel'Nox Lore that will be updated irregularly until I finish my own fanlore of the the Void. You can find the original Bel'Nox lore here.
ICATHIA On the eastern seaboard of the Shurima Desert lies a city cloaked in mystery. This desolate travesty of mankind depicts pictures of vile gods that were worishiped by the people that lived there years ago, but now is home to a poisonous light that sees into another dimension. In the last couple of years, several twisted and demented creatures spawned in this very city swathed in the purple light, but a new creature emerges that will twist the fate of Runeterra with the palms of his hand. Icathia marks the beginning of the end.
PART 1 DAWN OF THE APOCALYPSE Volatile energies spark across the incinerated earth as a creature of epic proportions scours the remnants of a forgotten metropolis. A large eye that glows a a bright pink surveys the area in front of it, looking to and fro before continuing forward. In it's advancement, it reveals three tentacles screaming behind it, like a jelly fish floating in water. A large explosion on the opposite side of the city catches the wondering Eye's attention and it streaks through the air in that direction. Familiar voices of malefic prophecies and vile truths cause the creature to slow down and examine the area around it. It's eye catches a fissure in time and space, which makes it open the other three miniature eyes sitting on top of the large one, "What being could have created a fissure that large on its own?"
As if the question was for it, a worm like entity, possibly a child of the great Baron Nashor, erupts from the fissure and slithers towards the Eye. Seconds before the primitive beast closes in on the defenseless Eye, another creature of even greater size splits the fissure wide open and drags the worm-like thing away. Sand and ruins kick up to create a veil as the greater beast tears at the worm, eating it alive and relishing in the greenish-purple blood burning through the sand. It roars, and tosses the carcass all the way to the other side of the city. The Eye watches it fall, then turns back to the beast, "Such savagery. Doesn't leave me much to investigate-"
"Silence, Vel'Koz," the beast's voice is low and gravely, sending a shiver all over Vel'Koz. The beast raises its arms, a total of six, and pushes the risen dust and gravel out of the way with pure power. Once it all clears, the spectacle shows itself in its entirety for the first time. The creature is heavily armored in thick layers of purplish exoskeleton, which does not fit the gorilla-like appearance as it stands on all eight limbs. It's head is also ape-like with a pronounced under bite that lets the creatures canines poke up like a pair of boar tusks. The rest of its body is covered in spike protrusions that can be used to duel with other Voidborn. The most prominate feature on the creature is its tail, which splits off at the end like a hydra covered in void energies, a sickness that no human wants to be around. Vel'Koz comes to a conclusion that this is certainly the monstrosity that proclaimed itself king of the Void many centuries ago. The creature brings itself down to eye level with Vel'Koz, "Me? A savage? A god cannot be called a savage!"
"You... I remember crossing paths with a creature like you before."
"With all that intelligence up in your head, you should be able to remember the one who let you into Runeterra in the first place," The monster walks past Vel'Koz's position and to a large pillar that looks as if it was corroded by an acid not of this world, "Hmm I shouldn't have let that infantile imbecile into this world, not in its current state."
"Bel'Nox," Vel'Koz growls lowly, "Did you come here to check on your child that you sent away or is there another reason?"
"Another reason?" Bel'Nox ponders this for a moment, using his diseased tongue to lick nonexistent lips, "Maybe to find and kill the dragon who threw a star at me, or maybe I finally want to capture that mountain!"
"I don't quite understand what you are saying," Vel'Koz floats away from Bel'Nox and up the side of a ruined building, bringing himself closer to Bel'Nox's eye level, "Explain yourself, why did you enter through the city of Icathia-"
"When did I ever have to answer to you, lesser being?" Bel'Nox turns himself towards Vel'Koz and takes a giant step forward until it is in Vel'Koz's face again, "Don't get so cocky because I don't have all of my power back yet."
"Why did you come to this plane of existence?" Vel'Koz asks again, this time more seriously.
"Always so inquisitive, just like these fleshbag scientists!" Bel'Nox slams its tail down into the sand, disrupting the quiet void energies to create yet another fissure between space and time. A thing that looks like a twisted Rhinoceros beetle with only four legs bursts from the new fissure. It roars into the nigh sky and Bel'Nox mounts it, "If you don't want me to kill you right now, I suggest you do what I am about to tell you."
"And if I don't?"
Bel'Nox smiles, although half-assed at best, and laughs so hard that the fabric of reality twists and reconstructs itself, "That, my dear friend, you can answer on your own time. I will trace the scent of that primeval beast Rek'Sai and her Xer'Sai, and she will join my army. Do we a favor, go and convince Kha'Zix to join us. We will meet near the base of Mount Targon in exactly a week!"
"To socialize with such... ravenous and uncouth creatures, such a disgrace."
"I'm not asking you to throw a party," Bel'Nox chuckles at Vel'Koz trying to figure out what a party is, "Just get the Voidreaver on our side and I won't kill you."
Bel'Nox doesn't even give it time to answer as Bel'Nox issues a command to the beetle and they charge into the Shuriman Desert in the direction of the Sai. Vel'koz shakes his entire body in a "no" fashion and continues on his way southwest of Shurima, to the Kumungu Jungles. A passing thought comes to Vel'Koz's mind and he decides to speak it out loud to himself, "With such a being crossing over into this reality, surely enough this world will come to a swift and violent end. I'm even more sure I don't want to stick around to find out about it either."
