[Concept] Order of Horus, the Silent Seven
Lore : Long ago in Shurima, Nasus needed attendants to care for his libraries of knowledge. Great honor was bestowed to all that were chosen, for to be handpicked by Nasus meant one was a pure soul. In an act of kindness, Nasus saved a young mute boy from his bullies, granting him access to the ranks of librarians. Tales were spread throughout the lands, with many parents offering up their handicapped children as offerings to become new librarians. Feeling responsible, Nasus took in these children. Many were trained in not only learning, but combat. Defending the libraries from intruders was a responsibility to all librarians. When Azir was tricked by Xerath in the Ascension ritual, Nasus fell into a depression and went into hiding. With Nasus leadership gone the librarians were forced to survive on their own, creating their own tight knit secret society to protect and gather all knowledge. As the years passed, myths and rumors became laws and traditions. What was once a kind gesture to help those in need turned into a ceremony for those of the highest order. Librarians would intentionally disfigure themselves, in an act of misguided symbolism. The most skilled Librarians would be set aside to join the Order of Horus. Soldiers would move as one, doing whatever is required by the Librarians. When one died, a new Librarian would take his place after a ritual to remove the new soldiers voice. To become a soldier of Horus, meant removing ones sense of self. The soldier offered their voice as sacrifice to become one with their new family.
Skills
Innate : Seven
Horus is not one, but many. Casting different spells allows Horus to cycle through the different members. Enemies can down individual members by dealing more than 1/3 of Horus' HP before they make another swap.
Different members of Horus gain different bonuses and effects.
Claws/Sword/Gauntlets : Extra Attack Speed, melee, extra defense, Bleed effect on attack. Needles/Darts/Explosives : Extra AD+AP, ranged, extra movespeed, Reveal effect on attack. Knife : Critically strikes those effected by the Bleed+Reveal.
Note : This is considered a short range teleport. The new member of Horus you take control will be where you cast the spell. If a member is knocked out, control of Horus will return to the previous member at a semi-random location nearby. If Horus leaves the area without healing the knocked out member, they will only return after returning to base.
Q : Tools of the Librarians
This skill uses a different member of Horus depending on how it is cast. You cannot use a member of Horus again until the full available members have been cycled through. Cycling through the base 6 members primes Tools of the Librarians, allowing you to summon the 7th member, the Eyes of Horus. You start the game with Tools of the Librarians and cannot increase its rank.
Wall : Tripwire Claws
Target wall, then direction to another wall. Enemies that run over the tripwire will lose a large amount of movespeed, regained slowly over the duration.
Ground/River : Oil Gourd + Sword
Ground targeted, releases a large slippery puddle of oil. Enemies moving on oil will slide if attempting to move and turn to another direction. Enemies effected by slows will slide longer and quicker.
Brush/Oil : Fire Gauntlets
Sets fire to any touching Brush/Oil after casting. Deals damage over time.
Enemy : Numbing Needles
Target enemy, pick spawn location. After a short delay, a wave of needles is sent at target enemy. Can be bodyblocked by enemies. Enemies hit by needles are slowed, increased based on how many needles hit.
Ally/Self/Downed Horus : Healing Dart
Target ally, pick spawn location. Sends a medicinal dart that heals and speeds up target.
Hold : Explosives
Hold and release for a knockback explosion. Explosive expert is untargetable during the explosion.
Primed : Silence Gas + Knife
Ground targeted aoe that releases a choking gas agent. Enemies in the gas are silenced.
W : Veil of Horus
Summon a sandstorm. After attacking, you'll be removed from the battlefield and allowed to return at any location in the sandstorm after a short delay. This cycles through Seven. If Eyes of Horus is summoned, he will remain instead of cycling through the base 6.
E : Seekers of Knowledge
Leveling up Seekers of Knowledge will allow you to pick what upgrade for Tools of the Librarians you will work on. After deciding what upgrade, a quest will be given to fulfill. Enemies will also gain knowledge of the quest goals. Horus starts with one point in Seekers of Knowledge.
Upgrades and Quests
- Extended Tripwires - Find a grave located randomly in enemy jungle. Completion allows the tripwire to bounce one time, creating a second tripwire.
- Gourd of Plenty - Search the river. Completion grants a larger oil radius.
- Sacred Flame - Kill Brambleback 3 times. Completion increases damage from fire.
- New Recipe - An enemy carries a tome depicting new ways to synthesize numbing agent; kill them. Completion causes enemies to be stunned if hit by all needles.
- Breathing Techniques - Kill Scuttle Crab 4 times. Completion grants further potential spawn range for Healing Dart.
- Invisible String - Gather ingredients from jungle monsters. Completion allows the Explosive expert to spawn near the explosion instead of inside it.
- Anatomy Study - Get a kill or assist as Eyes of Horus. Each unique enemy champion killed increases Eyes of Horus' armor penetration.
- Sharpened Tips - Search destroyed turrets. Gathering 2 turret crystals will cause Numbing Needles and Healing Dart to now pierce. Enemies can destroy crystals.
- Poisoned Blades - Search the river for reagents. Finding 2 bunches of poison plants will cause all melee weapons to bleed enemies longer. Enemies can destroy plants.
- Primed Powder - Siege minions carry ingredients necessary to improve the explosives. Gather 10 pouches of powder. Completion grants a larger knockback and longer untargetability on Explosives and a larger radius on Silence Gas. Enemies can destroy pouches.
R : Blessing of Horus
Summons a statue at target location, briefly rooting enemies and dealing damage. Enemies near the statue lose shared team vision and lose game audio. Casting Blessing of Horus instantly primes Tools of the Librarians.
