Shyvana: A Mighty and True Half-Dragon Rework
Shyvana is a fire breathing dragon, but neither the fire breathing or dragon I feel is utilized to its fullest extent. Also since it makes sense for her to mainly deal magical damage, I think she should just be a pure ability power champion since these two are linked together and adds better clarity for the player base so new players are not building armour against a Shyvana that does magic damage (also easier to balance and to make a more interesting kit around, but not to say there will not be basic attacking elements left in).

First off, I want to unlink her dragon form to only be able to be used at 100 Fury. She will still use Fury, but she can transform whenever which will remove her flight from the transformation process, but can still fly as a dragon form ability and Fury decays over time while in dragon form. The new addition is you can turn back into human form whenever you want to stop that decaying process. Other than that, Fury is the same thing it is now and fulfills the same purpose.
-
Dragon form abilities will be different, but still very powerful, abilities rather than straight up buffs of human form abilities. So for balance it will be something like human form will have Shyvana feel like 80% power or something like that of a champion and 120% in dragon form as a VERY rough example of power. The new gameplay will be very much watching your Fury and playing around it a lot more, playing around the fact that you are a mighty fire breathing and strong dragon and that is where you power is at, human form being there to help you stay in dragon form for a longer period of time since you can only gain Fury in human form - this also makes Fury feel a lot more like a resource, rather than a visible ultimate cooldown to everyone, and makes Shyvana feel less of a resourceless champion.
-
Shyvana is still a melee champion, but human form will feel like a weak ranged mage while dragon form is an in-your-face mighty force that can cut off your escape route with a wall of flames that she breaths past you. For this wall of flames, she breath a stream of fire over a second, which you can focus it on a target for a huge amount of magic damage or use it for the utility to cut of an escape route as a massive slowing wall that also stops enemies on contact (the max range is static, but fire breathing is restrictive control like a Vel'Koz ultimate).
-
Her double attack will be altered to be her passive and more emphasis on its double hit for on-hit effects (and still can kill wards), you just lose the ability to reset your attack timer on cast. This ability never has a bad use case to it and the way it gets used is pushing a button for a passive effect anyways, so it makes the most sense to just be her passive and clear up an ability slot which allows for a more satisfying passive for the player as well. The dragon form version will be a sweeping tail attack all around her, single hit just to clear things up, but a ton of area physical damage (since it is her attack still, makes sense to scale from attack damage and be physical damage).
-
All of the cooldowns are shared between forms still, including the passive cooldown, mainly for game balance. This also adds in more decision making on the player's part, especially with human form serving a better purpose which is to restore Fury since her power is being focused into dragon form (kind of how it is now).
-
I love creating skill expression in my concepts since it allows the player the freedom to make the champion they like playing as their own, and not feel like they are doing the same thing as everyone else. Most importantly, having just a super fun champion to play as that is not frustrating to go against either (while still feeling satisfying for the player). Player satisfying elements increases player enjoyment without making a champion too strong, like shooting out fireballs at your enemies or a powerful feeling sweeping tail attack, the effect can feel stronger than what it actually is and the player will feel like they are playing as a mighty and powerful fire breathing dragon!
