A Better Way For Giving Support Players Recognition
As a support main, I've often felt disappointed in the end-game results, since they do not reflect my role and importance to my team. As expected, I would usually deal the least amount of damage, have the least amount of kills, cs, gold, and objectives. The only data that could account for my hard work would only be the amount of wards I placed and assists I had. Although most support champions lack independence and DPS, I still think there are better ways for support players to be recognized for playing the most unpopular role. Support champions are usually defined by their ability to benefit and enhance their team's performance and function via shields, heals, and CC. So in my opinion, I think that it might be a good idea that the game should collect data on how much heals, shields, and CC a support has done in the game. TLDR; I'm just suggesting that Riot collect and display data on how much heals, shields, and duration of CC a support champion has done in the game as a better method to show the impact the player has made on the team. To be honest, it is very likely that Riot may not make this an idea, since the amount of support players are not as high compared to other roles...
