(Champion Concept) Great Swampwood, Nature's Abomination
LORE http://lpix.org/2510478/B03-Treeballz.jpg Swampwoods are a breed of treants without faces or any organ in their body that would grant them normal thought. Their deformity can be drawn back to their place of origin: the Blessed Isles. Nature spirits wandered the Blessed Isles, giving life to anything they could find so that they could know the joy of living. However, this was only what they believed in their very first few decades of being alive themselves. They were so happy about what they could provide others with that they granted life without knowing what consequences could arise or if what they had given life would enjoy the life they were granted. Within the Blessed Isles there is a swamp where an extremely large and plump species of tree grew called a Swampwood. These trees were completely void of life, yet somehow grew. None knew how or why, but they grew out from the water of the swamp to enormous sizes. The nature spirits, without too much thought on the matter, granted one of the Swampwoods life, causing it grow even larger and grow limbs. It was the largest of the Swampwoods and came to be known the Great Swampwood. At first, the nature spirit's saw their creation like a mother would see their child. They nurtured it and attempted to show it the joys of life. However, the Great Swampwood's life was full of misery and torment. The swamp it was born from was the only place it could live, so it could not see the beautiful environments of the Blessed Isles. In fact, it could not see to begin with. Despite being given life, the Great Swampwood still did not have a face to give it most of the natural senses of living. It could not see, hear, or smell. It could only feel and taste what was around it, being the decaying swamp. However, due to the tree's lack of ability to communicate, all it could do was live on through this torment. The Nature Spirit's brought it gifts to try and show it beauty, but it did not have what made it possible to take in the beauty of such gifts. It simply sat around in the swamp, silently weeping. One of the nature spirits was different from the rest. It could sense the misery within the tree and wished to end it's suffering. This nature spirit was known as Maokai, and he wished the others would give the creature the eternal rest it sought. This being never wanted the life it was given and wished to return to it's dormant state as a simple tree. Maokai tried to reason the tree's feelings with the others, but his argument fell on deaf ears. Seeing that his fellow spirits would not grant the tree what it wanted in life, Maokai did it himself. With all the power within him, Maokai froze the life within the tree, causing it to cease to move and, eventually, return to it's original state albeit with the limbs and increased size it had gained. The other nature spirits were furious and refused to communicate with Maokai for a very, very long time. They attempted to give the Swampwood life again, but what Maokai had done to the tree had caused the tree to be seemingly cursed to be within it's current dormant state forever. It could not decay or wither away, but at the same time it could not be given the life it once had. It was eternal. After many days, the nature spirits saw that the Swampwood could not be "saved", so they abandoned the project and went on to do other things. Many decades passed until, one day, a mad king visited the Blessed Isles and wrought an undead curse upon the land, causing the Blessed Isles to be transformed into what is known today as the Shadow Isles. When the curse swept across the isles, the Swampwood's frozen life energies were melted and brought back, but this time differently. The Great Swampwood's life energies flooded into the other Swampwoods within the swamp, causing them all to be given life. The Great Swampwood, cursed by the Nature Spirit's life energies and the Black Mist itself, mutated and grew even larger. This time, it gained another sense: smell. It's roots and bark became able to smell the rotted flesh of the Shadow Isles as all living beings turned to become undead abominations. While the other Swampwoods did not share this sense, the Great Swampwood could smell the torment of the creatures around it. Despite all that it had been through, it felt something inside of itself that it had never felt: pity. Using the magic within itself, the Great Swampwood crawled to a nearby dying horse that was nearing undeath. With a touch of one of it's hands, the Great Swampwood drained the Black Mist from the creature and placed the creature's body within the trunk of itself. Protected from the Black Mist within the trunk, the creature was allowed eternal rest and safety from the Black Mist outside the Swampwood's trunk. The Great Swampwood traveled across the Shadow Isles, draining the Black Mist from all the dying creatures it could find until no living being that was not completely absorbed by the Black Mist was left on the Shadow Isles. With it's mission complete, the Great Swampwood cast itself into the ocean and drifted across said ocean until it finally came to another continent. Where it landed would be what many would come to know as the nation of Noxus. After a few days, the Great Swampwood began to move again until it found a place where it felt it could rest for a while. Burying the bodies it had collected within it's own trunk and then sinking it's roots into the ground to rest, the Great Swampwood once again fell asleep for a long time. It's peaceful sleep was interrupted, however, when the first humans to find it tried to cut it down. The Great Swampwood had never felt such physical pain in it's life and, with a new emotion called anger, it lifted it's hands and pounded the humans into the ground, leaving behind nothing but a mound of dirt where they once stood. Feeling that no matter where it could go it would always be under threat, the Great Swampwood began to roam the lands, causing it to become a legend among travelers to see. The Great Swampwood would eventually become an omen to traveling merchants that their coming days would be extremely bittersweet. The giant tree did not care what others thought of it nor did it know what others thought of it. All it wanted to do was hope that, one day, it would place it's roots somewhere where it would find eternal peace.

ALLIES AND ENEMIES
The Great Swampwood Works Well With:
Sivir One of the Great Swampwood's main weaknesses is his extreme amount of immobility. Not only does he not possess any dashes, blinks, or speed boosts in his kit, but he also has the slowest base movement speed of all the champions. Sivir can help with that when her ultimate is up, allowing for the Great Swampwood to close the distance or escape a sticky situation.
Janna In a similar vein to Sivir, Janna can speed up the Great Swampwood so that his immobility isn't as much of an issue. She can also slow enemies so that Corrupted Nature Pulse will be able to deal it's incredible amount of damage to the enemy team consistently.
Maokai They are best tree buds.
The Great Swampwood Is Countered By:
Vayne If there is one thing the Great Swampwood hates, it is some percent health true damage to completely ignore his incredible health pool. Vayne provides all this and can consistently stun him with Condemn due to his large size making it easy for him to get knocked into a wall.
Fiora Similar to Vayne, Fiora can absolutely wreck the Great Swampwood's large health pool with her passive.
Trundle Trundle can get a lot of stats off of the Great Swampwood, namely health due to the Great Swampwood's extreme health pool to make up for it's large and slow nature. While the Great Swampwood can reduce Trundle's healing from his ultimate, Trundle will still be increasing his health pool by incredible amounts.
