Champion Idea: Shelldon, the Vengeful Turtle

Note: Shelldon is the placeholder for the real name. It’s just very punny, and will be used until a better name is thought of. Please note, I really want the name, but theburningcheeze insisted that we use it solely as a placeholder name.

Sadly, there is no drawing since both theburningcheeze and I suck.

Champ Name: Shelldon, the Vengeful Turtle Based off: A Turtle Primary role: Tank Secondary role: Mage Suggested lanes: Top/Jungle

Shelldon is a tanky Mage, who has very strong first 3 abilities, and an ult that can be great, or could be useless in a fight. He can be both a mage, or a tank.

Lore: When Shelldon was a young turtle, he lived with his family on the Blessed Isles. That was, until the darkness came. When the island was being used to store corrupted magical items, guarded by Thresh the chain warden, Shelldon became too curious. While searching around, he was affected by the magic and soon grew in size, becoming a monstrous being. His family still accepted him, and Shelldon’s soul remained untinted. He was still the kind turtle he was before.

It was then that Hecarim entered the Blessed Isles, forcing Thresh to lead them to a secret of resurrection. Hecarim and his men slaughtered everyone. Shelldon escaped to a hidden cave, but his parents were not fast enough. They did not have the magical abilities that Shelldon had, and his parents were just outside the cave entrance when Shelldon saw Hecarim murder his mother and father, leaving their bodies in the swamp as they continued to slaughter Shelldon’s friends, and the rest of his family. Scared to come out, Shelldon waited days in his hidden cave as he saw mysterious and frightening forces consume the whole island.

Little did Shelldon realize, Hecarim had released corrupted forces, which engulfed the island in a black mist. Shelldon, protected by his magic, his shell making him immune to the horror destroying the island. He saw his beautiful home turn to an evil, gloomy swamp. The trees drooped, the bright colors turning dark shades of purple. He saw many things he used to recognize now hideous figures, and Shelldon was horrified.

Shelldon decided he had to leave, and eventually left his cave. His home was destroyed, and as he walked he saw Hecarim. But this was not the Hecarim who killed Shelldon’s family, it was an even more evil, darker Hecarim. Fleeing in horror, Shelldon jumped into the ocean, even though he had never swam in such rough waters, and propelled himself away from the island.

As he looked back to his old home, he saw black mist billowing out of the once lush forests, engulfed in darkness. Shelldon arrived in Runeterra, and was immediately noticed. His massive, monstrous turtle body frightened many people, and the League of Legends became quickly interested in his potential. It was there Shelldon met Maokai, the only other person to have escaped the Shadow Isles without becoming an ally with the evil forces.Both Shelldon and Maokai made it their goal to return life and hope to the Shadow Isles. Passive: Defence is the best Offense Your auto attacks do 20% of the average of your armor/mr as magic damage. So if 110 armor, 90 mr, autos do 20 extra.

  • Shelldon shoots a large spike from his tail, stealing armor and magic resist from his opponents, and absorbing the armor and magic resist for himself.

W: Enhanced poison (skillshot, AOE)

  • Shelldon spits poison in a circular AOE blob, damaging, slowing, and poisoning all enemies, as well as marking each enemy champion hit by the blob. If enemy champions are marked, Shelldon can use Shell Launch to be automatically launched to the nearest champion with in range, homing in on them, and will then bounce to the other marked champions, knocking and stunning them again, if they are within range of Shelldon after he reaches the first enemy champion.

E: Shell Launch (skillshot, straight line)

  • Shelldon prepares his leap, launching himself forward after 0.5 seconds of winding up. He knocks up all enemies in his path, but when he hits an enemy champion the champion gets knocked back and stunned, and Shell Launch stops.

  • Damage (1/2/3/4/5): (50+30%AP / 60+30%AP / 70+30%AP / 80+30%AP / 90+30%AP)

  • Knock back: 100 units

  • Stun length: 0.5 seconds

  • Range: (700/750/800/850/900)

  • Width: 50 units

  • Speed: 1500

  • Mana cost: 80 all 3 levels.

  • R: Enchanted Shell (AOE)

  • Active: In a circle area around him, Shelldon jumps up and hides in his shell, falling to the ground with such force that he knocks up every enemy in the area. Shelldon is then immune for the next five seconds, and when his immunity is over he shoots out a ring of spikes dealing damage to every enemy in the area. Shelldon can reactivate the ability before the five seconds are over to deal less damage

  • Passive: Only works while ability is on cooldown, gain extra mr and armor for each nearby enemy champion.

keep the name! shelldon is awesome! the kit looks like fun though a bit strong, you should dial down the numbers on his CC so he is better balanced
