Terra, the Earthborn

Riot loves their 3s. I decided to take it to the extreme with this design, basing EVERYTHING around some multiple of 3.

-Designer Insights-

As a champion, the design is for a toplane tank with brawling capability, somewhat along the lines of Illaoi, but more teamfight-oriented. Terra should do best in 3 and 4 man skirmishes, trying to keep in the face of the enemy and being as disruptive as possible.

-Champion Insights- Terra thrives when she can survive long enough in a fight to allow her abilities to take effect. However, her short range and lack of immediate crowd control can cause her significant problems in poke situations. Terra is not limited by mana so much as cooldowns. Cooldown reduction is a must-have in order for Terra to manage more than one spell rotation in a fight. Terra's ultimate, Raise Mountains can completely disrupt a teamfight, creating 3 walls and knocking unobservant enemies about the fight. Properly played, Terra can become a crowd control nightmare for the enemy team, but without survivability and proper positioning, Terra can become a liability for any team.

HP: 567 (+78/level) Health Regen: 7.2 (+0.66/level) AD: 60 (+3.33/level) Attack Speed: 0.600 (+3%/level) Range: 243 Mana: 333 (+33/level) Mana Regen: 7.2 (+0.6/level) Armor: 33 (+3/level) Magic Resist: 33 (+1.2/level) - slightly different than other melee champions Movement Speed: 345

-Passive: Earthen Fist- After every spellcast, Terra's next 3 basic attacks are 33.3333% SLOWER but do (66.666667% AD) bonus magic damage. This effect cannot be activated more than once every 6 seconds (buff lasts 3 seconds, refreshing on each basic attack)

-Q: Tremors- Terra creates tremors in a small area, throwing enemies off balance and damaging them. Sends out 3 pulses in a ring around Terra over 3 seconds dealing (66/99/132/165/198) (+33% AD) on the first pulse, increasing by 33% and 66% for each subsequent pulse. All 3 pulses slow champions hit by 33% for 3 seconds. Notes: The initial cast of Tremors does not actually create a pulse - the first pulse comes one second after cast. However, Terra can move freely throughout the duration of the ability.

Cooldown: 15/13.5/12/10.5/9 Mana Cost: 45/54/63/72/81 Pulse Range: 450 (+33%, +66%) Pulse Speed: 999 (+33%, +66%)

-W: Fault Lines- Terra creates new fault lines in the earth below her, disrupting the surface. Upon activation, Terra channels for 1.5 seconds. At the end of the channel, Terra opens 3 rifts in front of her, dealing (45/90/135/180/225 (+9% of target's max HP)) magic damage.

Cooldown: 27/24/21/18/15 Mana Cost: 60 Missile Range: 900 Missile Width: 66 (Finding it difficult to judge this) Missile Angles: 0°, +45°, -45° from direction Terra is facing

-E: Earthen Grasp-

Terra shifts the earth just below the surface of an area, trapping her enemies in the quicksand she created. Target location - upon targeting, enemies in the area are slowed by 30%, increasing to 60% over 3 seconds. Any enemy units in the area at the end of the 3 seconds are rooted for 2.4 seconds.

Cooldown: 45/39/33/27/21 Mana Cost: 0 Area Range: 600 Area Size: 150

-R: Raise Mountains Terra channels all her power into raising new mountains for a short duration, dealing damage and knocking back enemies. Channels for 1.5 seconds, taking 24% reduced damage for the duration. At the end of the channel, a wall erupts in a ring around Terra, dealing (150/210/270 (+3.703703% max HP)) magic damage and knocking enemies toward the center. Two additional walls erupt, each further from the point where Terra began her channel, and each 1.5 seconds after the previous. The walls remain for 1.5 seconds after their emergence.

In terms of real visuals, I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of Illaoi meets Taliyah meets Gaara from Naruto. I haven't even decided on gender - it could be Terra or Terran or some variation thereof depending on gender. I feel Terra should have earth running down their arms (I think snake or whip or ribbon - 1 or 2 times around the arm as it goes from wrist to shoulder) and their arms should be exposed to show this off. My only other thought is that they shouldn't actually walk, but the earth should come up to carry them, similar to Taliyah or Lissandra .

-Lore- Screw this. I'm not writing a book on a concept. (Although, I have some ideas.)

-Designer Comments- This is the first concept that I've posted to the boards - I've been playing since season 2 and designing since season 3 or 4, but never really wanted to post any of them. I don't need much - this entire concept was based around everything being a multiple of 3 - and the more freedom I get, the easier it is to design and the more cohesive the result will be.
