Hello all, keep in mind this is still WIP, exact numbers, names, and effects are subject to change base on YOUR input and advice to help me make this concept the best i can make it! I plan to write lore and other details later, for now just an explaination of how I came up with my idea.

Riot once posted an article about Bard, and in it there was a classifcation of supports. You got the babysitters (Soraka), the caretakers (Bard, Morgana), and the playmakers (Thresh). I've always wondered if its possible to design another support like Bard who breaks the barrier of norms. Then I started looking at transforming champions, and there's one for all roles (Jayce technically counts as an ADC) except support. So I decided to design a transforming support that utilizes different playstyles for each form, and like Gnar, is requires careful mechanics to master both forms due to transforming being unable to be player controlled. Therefore, I created Bryce.

I wanted Bryce to be a medium ranged support (like Rakan) who in human form would stick by allies, and in shadow form he would be the playmaker. As a character, I wanted Bryce to be a person who believes in the good of others, someone who would help those being oppressed, one would would always give a second chance, one who takes the time to understand and change others for the better. However, hes still human, and has his limits, and eventually he becomes filled with anger at the constant mistreatment and fighting that will always exist in the world, no matter how hard he tries. This would be when he gives into his "inner demons" and starts enacting "eye for an eye", beliving that all evil should be purged without mercy, no matter how small or big. I try to convey that in his ultimate in both forms, as Forgiving Atonement, Bryce will never waiver as he helps the oppressed, always giving a second chance no matter how many times he would be betrayed, and as Merciless Atonement, the constant barrage of his dashing should inspire fear in his opponents, as how unrelenting Bryce becomes against any wrongdoing in the world. His human passive conveys his goal of protecting the weak, but eventually his conviction will waiver when faced with overwhelming hardships. His shadow form conveys his different "eye for an eye" belief, and eventually he would come to his senses again at the idea of "sinking to there level".

Enough ranting, this isn't even a real champion and I'm already writing a Champion Insight. Without furthur ado, I present Bryce, the Priest of Reprisal.

(Vengeance and Retribution are already taken by Kalista and Varus rip)

In addition to mana, Bryce begins the game with a full bar of Sanity, capping at 100.

Passive - Morality Unbounded:

In human form, Bryce passively marks nearby allied champions within (450 range) an area with “Bryce’s Morals”. If an ally under effect of “Bryce’s Morals” takes damage, Bryce will absorb 6/7/8% of the damage. However, if any ally under “Bryce’s Morals” takes over (~200-~910) damage over 3 seconds, Bryce will lose 5 sanity. If any ally champion dies while under “Bryce’s Morals”, Bryce loses 25 Sanity. Bryce also has bonus 300 range while in human form, but loses bonus 25 movement speed.

Passive - Talion Enacted:

When in shadow form, if Bryce is under any slow, silence, brittle, root, nearsight, or crippled, Bryce’s basic attacks will also apply that crowd control to enemy champions for 0.25/0.5/0.75 seconds. If an enemy champion damaged by Bryce within 3 seconds has died, Bryce regains 100 sanity. Bryce also has 25 bonus movement speed, but loses bonus 300 range.

Bryce transforms into human and shadow form at 100 and 0 Sanity respectively. Transforming into human form heals all nearby allied champions for ( ~50 - ~ 310 + 50%AP) and transforming into shadow form flees nearby enemy champions for (0.5/1.0/1.5) seconds.

Q - Salvation of Sins

Fires an orb that damages the first enemy hit. Has different effects based on which form Bryce is in.

Human: Orb will slow and reduce damage dealt by the target by a small percentage.

Shadow: Orb travels faster, deals slightly increased damage.

W: Invigorated Passion

Human: Bryce fills an ally affected by “Bryce’s Morals” with a sense of justice. Ally will do bonus damage to enemy champions that have damaged Bryce’s target recently for a few seconds.

Shadow: Bryce overwhelms himself with a sense of vengeance, gaining bonus movement speed and causes targets Bryce attacks with autos to take slightly increased damage from all sources for a few seconds.

E: Leap of Faith

Human: Blinks a short distance, then boosts nearby allies movement speed by a small amount.

Shadow: Leaps a short distance, fearing all enemies caught in the leap for a short duration.

R: Forgiving/Merciless Atonement

Bryce becomes unable to attack and use any other abilities besides Atonement for the duration of his ultimate. Lasts 15 seconds or until all charges are used.

Dash a short distance towards your cursor. Can be reactivated up to seven times.

If Bryce does not hit a target with his dash, the ultimate ends and goes on cooldown. Bryce’s first three dashes do not need to hit a target.

If Bryce transforms in the middle of using his ultimate, the dashes will switch effects, and amount of remaining charges are carried over.

Forgiving: Dashes heal a small amount of HP to all allied champions dashed through as well as boosting allied movement speed.

Merciless: Dashes deal a small amount of damage based on missing health to enemies as well as slowing enemy champions hit by a small amount for a small duration.

Woah. Thats a really faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast kit xd. Its kit is essentially a rakan/gnar hybrid. TONS OF MOVEMENT! However, I feel like his human w would feel clunky in game, as there are a lot of reqs for it to happen. Maybe make his human w something like tarics, where instead of having it only work for a few seconds, make it a link? Also, a problem i see with his kit, is that he has a huge lack of hard cc. The only hard ccs in his kit are his passive if he is cced by a root, or his shadow e. Maybe you could change his w to something that has the "eye for an eye" from his lore, where he stuns himself, and stuns enemies around him for the same duration? You could make the human part of the ability an aoe shield, or heal, which only two supports actually have, alistar and sona (correct me if im wrong).

Idk I could be completely wrong, these are just some of my ideas for his kit, you thought everything through really well!

Nice concept, it's a nice concept that borrows several ideas from other champions but takes them and adds it's own flair per say. Pity Rito probs wont' take it into account.

CCOS Outreach

First of all, I'd like to address the passive. As the cornerstone of your kit, I think that this is certainly a very interesting and well crafted ability. However, I think there are some things that do need addressing. The most pressing of these concerns is the way in which it interacts. Namely the main issue here is with the transformation. The way in which it currently works means that if you were in Shadows form, and someone scored a kill which you had to participated in, you'd immediately switch away to Human form, even if you might not want to. This can cause issues particularly in crowded and messy teamfights

Overall, however, I feel that it's overly mobile. It can be particularly difficult to keep up with, but it doesn't feel like it embraces much other than what Rakan already covers, which is a shame because I definitely feel that there is potential. The large amount of mobility can probably be cut down since it is currently in a large, but fairly weak amount. It should instead be reduced to a small but more powerful effect so that there is more impact resulting from anything that comes up in terms of how to use, and make it more impactful when it does.

The way the passive works is quite effective, and that is a very good way to implement it, with a particular idea towards looking at the various ideas which are present, and working them into a more workable form with more effect and efficiency in general!
