The Sixth Role: Divine Champions

There would be two kinds of different divine champions. There are the ones who would be omnipresent or walk around. The omnipresent ones have less powerful abilities that contribute to their team in that form. The ones who walk around are invincible but have abilities that contribute to their teams more. These kind of champions would have their own set of summoners. They would also be able to buff the minion much like the Black Market brawlers. They would get coins over time and from assist/kills. Experience would come over time and with kills/assist.

Champions concepts (seriously just examples) -

Aatrox (Non omnipresent) - • Passive- While around allies they deal 3%/5%/7%/10% more damage. Is half when not summoned. (at levels 1/7/13/18) •Q- Empowers the next attack for 10/25/45/70/95 physical damage. When summoned the damage is tripled and is self applied. Cooldown 8 seconds. •W- Grants a champion for all the damage a targeted champion deals heals 3%/5%/7%/9%/11% of the damage dealt for 10 seconds. Self applied when summoned and cooldown is cut in half. Cooldown 30 seconds. •E- Grants 10%/15%/20%/25%/30% attack speed for 10 seconds. When summoned is doubled. Cooldown 30 seconds. •R- Reduces all damage by 8%/12%/15%. Cooldown on next summon. (only when summoned)

Soraka (Omnipresent) - •Passive- Mana regen 50% higher for all allies. •Q- Summons a star to fall on area for 50/75/100/125/150 magic damage 2 second cast time. When Summoned does twice as much damage. Cooldown 10 seconds. •W- Heals an ally for 20/40/60/80/100 health. When summoned adds 10% of their max health and cooldown cut in half. Cooldown 20 seconds. •E- Grants 20/25/30/35/40 bonus armor and magic resist for 5 seconds. Cooldown 15 seconds. •R- Heals all allies for 150/225/350 health. (only when summoned) Cooldown on next summon.

Summoners --

Summon - Summons your divine champion in current location or designated location for the next 45 seconds. 3 second cast time. Cooldown 120 seconds. Much like flash, a highly needed summoner.

Teleport - Teleports to designated location. Cooldown 60 seconds. For non omnipresent champions.

Package - Deliveries a package that grants mana and health. depending on level 50/100/200/300 mana and health. Cooldown 120 seconds.

Sorry for the post being all around and vague, but its how I think. I just wanted to share my thought on how there could be a sixth role. I want to hear other people thoughts on this idea.

So this is a pretty interesting idea, with huge ramifications for League gameplay. I'm not sure how to quantify the changes it would cause in the game to have one of these champions exist though...

Off the cuff, it feels much more like a Heroes of the Storm champion, since they pull crazy stuff like this fairly often with characters like Cho'Gall and Abathur. I'd be unsure how to implement this properly in League, where the fifth body is more important, gold flow is required, and non-targetable support or damage output is a much less common thing.

The separate summoners and minion-buffing features would definitely have to go though. You'd be breaking the mold hugely having an omnipresent champion already -- don't add to it by making them even more of a special, game-breaking flower. I'm also not a huge fan of the incarnation ability, but that may just be personal preference.

I'll have to think on this a bit. I don't like the idea as presented...but I like the echoes it makes in my mind. There's some really cool potential here, if you can find out how to properly implement it.
