Champion Name: Karaxx, The Shield of the Void Role: Melee Tank/Fighter

Passive: Nether Shield For each Bonus Point of Armor Karaxx gains 0.1 Magic Resist, and for each Point of Bonus Magic Resist he gains 0.1 Armor. Does not stack with itself, does not scale with base Armor or MR and its increases, can scale off of Masteries and Runes. Must be holding his shield to receive this bonus. Karaxx's shield can be used with his abilities, often separating from his champion model. When this happens Karaxx loses the bonus Armor and MR from his passive, until he picks up his shield again. Upon death his shield will return to the base to be picked up on spawn. Also note, if Karaxx has the option to reactivate an ability and he casts another ability instead, the action will be at his current location.

Q: Shield Push (Requires Shield) Karaxx launches his shield forward a short distance, dealing flat magic damage in a line and bonus damage to the first champion hit based on there current health and is stunned for a short duration. If a stun lands Karaxx can immediately dash forward to his shield and when reactivated within 3 seconds. If not reactivated, his shield will return to him instead. Range is from Karaxx's current position.

W: Void Shout Karaxx charges a slam on his shield into the ground, stopping his movement for up to 3 seconds, and shouts, slowing enemies in a radius around his shield and silencing all enemies in a small radius around himself for the duration he was charging. E: Break Cover (Requires Shield)

Karaxx launches himself forward a short distance from his shield to attack a target dealing physical damage. If Karaxx kills his target he can jump back to his shield when reactivated within 3 seconds. Applies on hit effects. If not reactivated, his shield will return to him instead. Range is from the shields current position.

R: Strength of the Void (Requires Shield) Passive: With each upgrade onto his ultimate, Karaxx can augment one of his standard abilities and his appearance. Q: Push distance increased, shield size increased, increasing hit box size. W: Area of effect increased, at max charge units will also be feared instead of silenced and stunned instead of slowed (if both circles overlap a stun will replace the fear), character size increased for a larger hit box. Shield scales to new size but unless q is taken hit box will remain the same. E: Dash distance increased, on kill cool down is reset, new armor set equipped (aesthetic). Active: (Self Cast) If not holding his shield, it will return to Karaxx if it is in range. When he has his shield, Karaxx will take reduced damage, receive bonus movement speed and leave a path behind him increasing allies movement speed when they walk on it. Active: (Shield Cast) As above except Karaxx will jump to his shield if it is within range.

Champion Analysis: As you can see Karaxx is a mobile Juggernaut/Bruiser with massive outplay potential on his abilities. He has a weak early game due to his short range, relatively high mana costs and long cooldowns. As a result he will struggle vs lane bullies, mobile champions, or ranged opponents. He is also susceptible to ganks if pushed up too far and can fall behind if forced to cs under tower. His escapes and engages don't become strong until he levels up his basic abilities through his ultimate, meaning mid game is where he will start to get his power spike, and late game is where he will become a monster, with frequent capabilities to engage, peel, and deal massive dmg to single targets with health shred on his q and flat dmg on his e. Karaxx works well with champions that offer burst potential, shields and more speed buffs to help him engage, and is weak vs hard cc, which will stop him dead when trying to start a fight.

Lore: Within the void many sentient beings live, some of their own free will, some not by choice. And then there is Karaxx. Fate led him to the the void, to an innumerable amount of futures, and an equally innumerable amount of possibilities. Karaxx found the shield of the void melded into one of the the Dark Stars, and using his wit and cunning, he was able to obtain the artifact from its Guardian. Feeling cheated, the Guardian of the Dark Star let out a scream of anger, which echoed through space and time. Karaxx knew he could not outrun his new foe, and so, without a second thought, he stepped from the familiarity of the void into Runeterra, where he remains to this day.

Final Note: Overall Karaxx's kit is diverse and broad, and many items could be built on him to many different effects. Perhaps you want to play him support with a talisman or righteous glory? Jungle with Cinderhulk or Warriors? I hope you like my champion concept as much as I have liked working on it, and leave any ideas or comments so I can improve him and hopefully get noticed by Riot!
