Big plans: Making an animate for a Ghost Rider themed Thresh & Kalista Lore Interactions/Intervene
Redesign art by Streak2005 on DA Ever wonder what you think might realistically happen/happening lore wise if/when Kalista and Thresh meet? Kalista would make a deal with the devil him self.. But as a result in them binding each other, Thresh would suddenly share a similar purpose as Kalista. No, i don't think HIS soul would have trully been bargained though. Thresh carries multitude of them with his lantern. An endless cycle with her bind and his souls. A deadly duo. Kalista would be the women to guide his way on a more... Righteous path?
With the bind, Thresh would basically turn into Ghost Rider. And we all know where that will go. But it's badass, and so many of us are big fans. Just as we all ask for that Deadpool Shen and that Slade/Death Stroke Zed. But then there is copyrights and we need to change it enough to where there's a semblance but not enough we get called out for stealing crap.. Getting permission is--well, hell.
So here's the thing. I really want Vandal or something like it to be a major influence in Thresh's skin.. A glorious legendary for him. I've finally got the money for a tablet. I'll be improving on art soon and i'll be planning a major project you'll see coming in the next given 1-2 years. But it's all a WIP. I need the communities help to get me started.
To turn this into something solid and official would be an amazing dream i'd like to accomplish.
Originally, i wanted Thresh to look like a cross between pirate/vandal/and the armor the Lichking wore in WoW. Inspiration.. Yea, y'know. Something like assasins creed for lack of name brand in style for cloaks. Should i say mad max? Is that too metal? I think it is. Then there's his weapon. Since i want this to effect his lore in some way, he'll eventually meet Kalista and that is how i wish for him to have stumbled into this skin. Kalista offers her spear. What if Thresh replaced the sickle with the tip of her spear and suddenly he'd be using it like a harpoon, his chains attached to the end like a weird hybrid, trailing him around instead of him carrying around his lantern. I thought of him using a grappling hook as well but set it aside thinking too much of something modern warfare like Varus's Artic Ops skin. Hey, maybe Artic Ops Thresh could be a thing..! Or Nautalis for that matter. This is a WIP Post. I will add more if this thread keeps up to date.
I really don't have much to offer right now, but then this post was meant to ask YOU, the COMMUNITY to help me. What do you think would look badass? Do you make art? Show me what you think will work.
The animation will be between Kalista and Thresh and his "Transition" to enable this skin.
