Poi dancing is one of the most beautiful and visually stunning dance forms. Especially when it is combined with Light Painting Photography. (look it up, it is seriously cool) In League there are many archetypes of fighters and assassins and tanks and supports, but none of them are specifically "dancers". Sure Fiora could be called a blade-dancer, Orianna can pirouette with her dance emote, and Thresh even poi dances with his dance emote, however, no champion is League is specifically a dancer. The reason why I chose poi dancing is because the moves can easily be used in combat. Ballet is not easily weaponized(:P lol). Tap is out of the question. Hip hop, kind of, but would be really hard to distinguish whether or not the champion was actually dancing or just some new martial arts champion. Poi actually has rods either lit with fire or weighted. This makes the poi weaponizable and have its own unique style which is critical for more champion expansion.

CHAMPION CONCEPT Ropata, the poi dancer Somewhere in Shurima desert, no one quite knows, there once existed nomads who called themselves the Shiatas. They were a mystical tribe who used their ritual dance for worship, hunting, and, occasionally, enslaving the unwary travelers. Ropata was only a baby when his caravan was attack by the Shiatas. They sold his parents and kept the young boy because his blonde hair and violet eyes against his dark skin could be sold at greater profit when the boy was older. As Ropata grew, the Shiatas began to love the slave boy since he warmed the hearts of everyone who met the child. When he was of age, the Shiatas agreed to teach the boy their riutal increasing his social status from the very lowest slave to one of the respected men of the tribe. The boy excelled. As soon as Ropata touched the swinging rods they were ignited with the purest of flames that could thaw the coldest of hearts. His prowess was heard across the desert of Shurima reaching even to the ears of the powerful emperor, Azir. Azir demanded that the dancer be brought before him in order to witness the magic for himself. Ropata came before the emperor and danced in the finest style that he could. That meeting would be the Savior of the empire. Azir's heart was soften even if it was just a little. The next day the Shiatas were on the edge of the city when walls of sand rose up and fell upon the buildings collapsing them into each other and then crashing upon the streets. Screams were heard. Prayers to the gods were shouted. When all was silent, the Shiatas counted who had been spared and found Ropata was no longer with them. He had been given a bracelet from the Emperor that sealed his body away from the destruction. Centuries later, when Cassiopeia unlocked the tomb in which the Emperor was held, Ropata was freed from the seal. He has now joined the Fields of Justice to fight along side his emperor.

ABILITIES Passive Performance: After each consecutive basic attack Ropata gains stacks, up to 5, increasing his physical damage by X each stack. His AA also has a progression of x.5/ x.75/ x1/ x1.25/ x1.5. (No champion in League has a progression type AA. This makes it so the longer you are in combat with Ropata the more damage he does against you rewarding aggressive play. NOTE: Abilities also proc the stack of his passive)

Q Fire spin: Ropata spins his Poi out dealing physical damage and then back towards him self slowing champions 50% and dealing an extra 50%. (Procs thaw both times)

W Performers agility: Ropata is able to perform an evasive dance that block 75% of incoming damage and blocks cc. If he successfully blocks damage or cc he gains up to 25% movement speed for 5 seconds (increasing depending on type of cc)

E Thaw: Ropata empowers his next AA progression dealing 5% max health as true damage after 5 consecutive auto attacks against a single target.

R Let the Drums Beat: Ropata recalls the drums of the Shiatas causing his heart to weep. This changes Ropatas dancing as his emotions get the better of him. Ropatas AAs now slow his target 15% due to his Crippling Sorrow.

Crippling Sorrow: Alies near Ropata also weep with him granting them 15% slow on their AA as well. Enemies within the radius around Ropata take X magic damage every 1.5 seconds.

I chose the name Ropata because it means "Bright Flame" in the Maori language. The Maori are the native people of New Zealand where poi dancing originated. I'm super excited to hear what you guys think about this champion concept. Please be nice in the comments as this is my first concept.
