Lee Takanashi: the rising hero

Takanashi Chen is just like any popular anime aimed at young boys: the main character keeps learning new abilities and getting stronger, as they fight new opponents, over the course of time.

Takanashi Chen is a 13-16 year old boy (with a slim, athletic build) he wears blue shirt and jacket, with the sleeves rolled up above his elbows, brown shorts and shoes. His weapon is a metal staff.

each ability gets new strength/additional effects/passives as they lvl up

whichever ability (Q-W-E) you start with has the most chance to reach maximum passives/boosts (10) the other 2 regular abilities wont upgrade every lvl, but every other lvl [NOTE: maxing abilities has no effect on the rate each passive takes place. Once the basic ability is usable, the passives are automatically learned.]

the abilities will always upgrade as soon as you reach the next lvl (whether you upgrade another ability or not) and always upgrade in the same order:

  1. new passive
  2. stat boost to the passive
  3. stat boost to the passive ... for a total of 4 passives for the main ability chosen, and 3 on the other 2.

This choice also decides what your Ultimate will do.

Q - Extended Strike: - mana 50/60/70/80/90 - CD 10/9/8/7/6 Just what it sounds like; Chen swings the staff hard, and a fast, directed force shoots out in a narrow path. Dealing 40/50/60/80/90 plus 70/80/90/100/110% total AD as physical dmg. Range 1200. passives

  1. "I Could Do This All Day": killing enemy refunds 50/75/100% of its CD and 10/30/50% of its mana cost.
  2. Learning Weak Points: killing an enemy/monster causes Chen to permanently deal 1/3/5% more dmg to that enemy/monster. (including after they die/respawn, but does not stack)
  3. Even Further Beyond: Extended Strike passes through enemies, dealing 50/75/100% dmg to everyone beyond the 1st hit.
  4. Precise Swings: stun champs; from 0.5-2 seconds depending on distance the Strike travels before hitting champs.

W - Blind Swing: - mana 40/45/50/55/60 - CD 14 secs Chen swings the staff really hard, this time in a arc, causing a weaker, slow, wide force to hit enemies. Dealing 10/20/30/40/50 plus 60/70/80/90/100% bonus AD or 30/50/70/90/110% AP as physical dmg to each enemy hit. Range 500/600/700/800/900. passives

  1. Wider Range: Blind Swing begins with a 45 degree angle, and grows to 60/75/90.
  2. Practice Swing: since he doesn't need to hold back, Chen deals an extra 10/25/50 magic dmg to structures, pets, clones with basic attacks.
  3. Aim for Their Feet: Blind swing slows enemies by 10/20/30%.
  4. Practiced Swing att speed shortens the cd on Blind Swing (capping at 4 secs), and causes the Swing wave to move faster. (up to 100%)

E - Pole Vault: - mana 85/90/95/100 - CD 24/22/20/18 Using the staff, Chen leaps over a distance (or wall). Possible range 300. passives

  1. Learning to Fly: the possible distance is greater by 10/30/50%.
  2. Hit the Ground Running: after landing, Chen has 5/10/15% movespeed bonus for 2 seconds.
  3. Using Momentum: deal dmg to all nearby enemies 0.5 seconds after landing, dealing 5 AD per bonus movespeed. [if killed, rooted, stunned, knocked up, or otherwise displaced on landing then no dmg is dealt]
  4. Defensive Stance: gain a shield for 20% of total HP plus 100% AP as soon as you activate Pole Vault, that expires once the bonus movespeed passive wears off.

R - Signature Move: - mana 100/110/120 - CD 90/75/60 Chen uses what he's learned to beat down the "bad guys," jumps into the fight, gets buffs, and the effects last 5 secs longer if he gets a kill or assist during the ultimate, stacking up to 3 times, for a maximum buff time of 20 seconds. Possible range 700. Q - Ultimate knocks up enemy champs on impact, in a range of 450, dealing 50/100/200 plus 100/150/200% bonus AD as physical dmg. Chen gains 5/10/15% more bonus AD for 5 secs. W - Ultimate deals 5 blows to every enemy in 450 range, instantly, dealing 20/30/40 to each enemy hit, slowing them for 2/4/6 seconds. Chen gains 5/10/15% att speed and AP (att speed is uncapped, including a shorter CD on W - Blind Swing [NOTE: this is only uncapped for the first 5 seconds and will not extend like the rest of the buff]) for 5 secs. E - Ultimate deals 40/80/120 true dmg to every enemy champ in 450 range. Chen gains 10/20/30% movespeed and 20/30/40% dmg reduction for 5 seconds.

Chen has 1 more passive: he looks more mature each level until lvl 18.[slayer-jinx-wink]

EDIT 8-4-2018: realized "lee" is a name taken by another champ, so i changed it to "Chen" and had that as the last name, instead.

I know how riot loves passives and multiple abilities, so i came up with abilities with passives, and passives with abilities...

Jokes aside, i thought having a champ that "learned" and "grew" through battle was basically the concept behind every character in any rpg or moba, but i dont really like how everyone riot creates or updates in the last 2 years just HAS all those abilities and passives... With the exception of kayn. I also like being able to play a champ in different ways.

Well, Takanashi Chen is an ideal champ for those 2 things.

Players have a choice to make from the beginning of the game: which way do i want to play Chen this time? If you want to build him like a tank, start with his E, which eventually gives you tanky buffs, and a beefy ultimate. If you want to build him Attack speed + AP, then start with W and eventually become a tower destroying maniac, (second only to ziggs) and chase down every last enemy with your ultimate. If you want to stun and smash everyone in sight, start with your Q, and catch the enemy team with their pants down using your ultimate knock-up.

Even in each of those 3 options, you have a ton of variations to use/master. Even Pros would take time to try all the different possibilities for Chen, and longer to master.

i think this would be a very fun champ to play. what do you think?
