Current Problems with Yorick
- Ghouls feel like a bonus rather than what his kit is based around
- Ghouls don't demand attention
- Annoying to lane against due to incredible sustain
Goals of Rework
- Make ghouls feel like the center of Yorick's kit
- You want to kill the ghouls first and not really Yorick (higher reward for killing ghouls than Yorick)
- Remove annoying sustain niche
- Add more decision making to Yorick on a larger scale (how will this ability affect the overall outcome of the game rather than in this exact fight)
Passive- Rotters Innate: Yorick will spawn a ghoul every 25-15 seconds (based on level) that will last until killed. These ghouls will guard Yorick by attacking enemies who damage Yorick, prioritizing closer enemy champions, and redirecting 10/15/20% of the damage Yorick takes to them, split across all active Rotter ghouls. Redirected damage, however, cannot kill these ghouls. A max of 3/4/5 Rotter ghouls can be active at once and will follow Yorick wherever he goes. Rotter ghouls have 10% of Yorick's attack damage and 20/22.5/25% of his max health. Rotter ghouls have movement speed equal to 105% of Yorick's movement speed and can attack once every second. (1.0 attack speed) Enemies who kill a Rotter ghoul will be given 6 gold. Yorick starts the game with 3 ghouls already active. Levels: 1/7/13 Ghoul Tether Range: 900
Ability 1- Ravagers Passive: Rotter ghouls will eventually evolve into Ravager ghouls after being alive for 25/22.5/20/17.5/15 seconds. These ghouls have an extra 2/4/6/8/10% of Yorick's attack damage as bonus attack damage, 10/15/20/25/30 extra flat movement speed, and heal themselves for 12/14/16/18/20% of the damage they deal with each attack. Active: Yorick sends the Ravager ghoul closest to the target enemy unit or structure to attack the targeted unit or structure. During this time, the Ravager ghoul sent has 10/25/40/55/70% (+5% per 100 bonus AD) bonus attack speed and another 10/15/20/25/30 extra flat movement speed. If the target dies or moves too far away from Yorick, the Ravager ghoul will return to Yorick. The tether range of the Ravager ghoul to Yorick is increased to the same range during this time as the distance the target has to move away from Yorick to cause the Ravager to stop chasing them. Ravagers sent away in this fashion have their gold bounty increased, causing enemies who kill them to be rewarded with 11/12/13/14/15 gold instead of 6 gold. Cost: 20/30/40/50/60 mana Cool Down: 5/4/3/2/1 second(s) Range: 1000 Target Tether Range: 1250
Ability 2- Belchers Active: Yorick summons a Belcher ghoul at the target location after channeling for 2 seconds. Once Yorick has finished channeling, the Belcher ghoul will arise and corrupt the area around it with it's own rot, causing enemies around it to be applied Grievous Wounds. The Belcher is too fat to move and will instead attack enemy units and structures who come within it's basic attack range. Health- 20-70% of Yorick's max health (based on level) Armor- 30/35/40/45/50% of Yorick's armor Magic Resist- 35/40/45/50/55% of Yorick's magic resist Attack Damage- 20-40% of Yorick's attack damage (based on level) Attack Speed- 0.7-0.9 (based on level) Attack Range- 450/525/600/675/750 The Belcher's basic attacks also have the additional effect of slowing enemies hit by 10% (+3% per 100 bonus AD) for 1.5 seconds and applying spell effects. Upon killing a Belcher, the killer is rewarded with 10/20/30/40/50 gold. Belchers last until killed, but only 1/2/3/4/5 Belchers can be active at one point in time. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana Cool Down: 28/26/24/22/20 seconds Range: 400 Rot Range from Belcher: 900
Ability 3- Tormented Passive: Whenever Yorick kills an enemy unit, a lesser ghoul will spawn to attack the nearest enemy unit or structure, prioritizing enemy champions. Lesser ghouls summoned in such a way will die after 5/6.25/7.5/8.75/10 seconds. Health- 6-18% of Yorick's max health (based on level) Movement Speed- 105% of Yorick's movement speed Attack Damage- 4/5/6/7/8% of Yorick's attack damage Attack Speed- 0.75 Attack Range- 125 When a lesser ghoul is killed, their killer is rewarded with 3 gold. Active: A tormented ghoul is immediately summoned beside Yorick. This tormented ghoul will run at the nearest enemy unit, although it prioritizes enemy champions, and then enter it's soul to torment it for the next 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 seconds if it reaches them. If the tormented ghoul does not reach the target within 4 seconds, it will die and 25% of this ability's mana cost will be refunded. Tormented Ghoul Movement Speed- 375/400/425/450/475 While inside their soul, the tormented ghoul will apply Tormented Soul to it's target, causing Yorick's basic attacks against the target to both heal Yorick for 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% of the damage dealt and spawn a lesser ghoul beside the target. Lesser ghouls will attack the nearest enemy with Tormented Soul applied to them and last until killed. If there are no targets with Tormented Soul around the lesser ghoul, it will instead run to Yorick and, after 10 seconds, evolve to become a Rotter. These Rotters evolved from lesser ghouls do not count towards the Rotter limit, but if they "overflow" past the normal Rotter limit, they will begin to lose 5% of their max health every second until only 30% of their max health remains. Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana Cool Down: 14/13.5/13/12.5/12 seconds Range: 750
Ultimate- Assault of the Dead Active: Yorick summons 5 ghouls plus an additional 1/2/3 ghoul(s) for every enemy unit around him. These ghouls can then be commanded by reactivating this ability to attack the targeted enemy unit or structure or move to the target area within the next 20 seconds. These ghouls ignore unit collision. Health- 3/4/5% of Yorick's max health Movement Speed- 125% of Yorick's movement speed Attack Damage- 5/7/9 (+2/3/4% of Yorick's AD) Attack Speed- 1.0/1.15/1.3 Attack Range- 125 Enemies who kill one of these ghouls are rewarded with 5 gold. After 20 seconds, these ghouls will ignore Yorick's commands and simply push down the nearest lane as if they were minions. This ability goes on cool down when all of the ghouls summoned by this ability are killed or after 20 seconds when the ghouls become uncontrollable. Cost: 100 mana Cool Down: 150/135/120 seconds Enemy Unit Check Range (for # of ghouls spawned): 800 Command Range (range to select area to move to or enemy to attack): 2000
This kit makes Yorick a Juggernaut/Battle Mage minionmancer that wants to really plague an area of the map with his Belchers and ghouls in general. He is really good at pushing, split pushing, and laying siege to objectives through his ghouls.
