My Review

_I bring Urgot's Ultimate back. _

**Bio **

Asdain is now a new symbol of Noxian army. His credo is to cut down the snake’s head. Still, he never hesitated to hurtle in any dangerous situations. And this has brought him some famous victories which earned him the current position. Nonetheless, few would never realize he had had an extremely dark background in his early life.

Born and abandoned in the poorest area of Noxus, he had become a beggar since the day he could walk. The more he grew up the less mercy people showed to him. What could a child do to earn a living in a slum, excepted stealing. They had always reminded him as a thief. They curried him whenever they saw his crime or simply they lost something, though it was not him who had stolen.

One day, while he was lying in a corner, like a dying scoundrel for being wounded so hard, there came a mystery lady who help saving his life by giving him some coins. The cloaked woman, holding a staff in her right hand, said to him if he wanted to reimburse the money, he could meet her at Mansion Baerindal when he recuperated. And she vanished before he could realize.

He drew the appointment five days later and what appeared to his eyesight is a horrible scene. All the host’s family members including servants were slaughtered. A dozen of dead bodies were killed in the same way, by a critical strike in their napes. Their faces reported being extremely terrified before they died.

He found something untrue there that he was about to leave when the guards surrounded the crime scene. He was tricked. Asdain was sentenced guilty and imprisoned. He knew it was impossible to convince the govern because he had no justifiable prove.

He was a thief and had already anticipated being arrested some day and he was actually many times. But he never wished end up his life imprisoned so turned into his eventual occasion. He begged Captain Aurolan Bangarths who had excused him several time to send him to battlefield.

He had been through some wars before the recognition of his different style in fighting. He focused on improving skills based on his agility. Asdain began to overwhelm his commander. He has taken down some of the opponent’s generals to claim victories for himself. But generally, he captured them alive even before the wars began, which effectively prevented bereavement.

Since then, Asdain became a young hero and was promoted into a senior soldier. He was permitted to discuss in substantial military meetings.

The 17 years old admires Swain but seems to be disrespectful on Darius, the Hand of Noxus – his highest commander. Asdain may be arrogant but no one could deny his unique talent, including his superb capability of survival.

Instead of norm, Asdain's basic attack deals 0 (+50% AD) (+50% AP) [(+8% target max Health) (-5% Asdain's max Health)] adaptive damage on champions and epic monsters.

He is also forced to slow down himself by 85/80/75/70/65% Movement Speed during the effect. _Unable to attack and use other abilities except Slink while under the effect. _

_Active: _(Range: 1, Cooldown: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10s, Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 Mana)

In the next 4s, Asdain gains 8/9/10/11/12% Lifesteal and his third attack on an enemy Roots them for 1s and lays a Mark of Kunai. _Effect feasibly applies to multiple targets. _

The first basic attack against enemy with Mark of Kunai is critical. _(Activated by/with W and R only). _

**Dexterity - E **

(Range: 450, Charges: 5, Charging time: 9/8/7/6/5s, No Cooldown, Each charge spent costs 20 Mana)

Surfs to a target (Cost: 1 Charge) Asdain dashes to an enemy, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+70% additional AD) [(+8% target max HP) (-5% Asdain's max Health)] physical damage. This ability cannot be used on the same enemy within 5s. _Cooldown on target only exists for ONE unit at a time. This ability is counted as basic attack when hitting a unit. _

Surfs to a position (Cost: 3 Charges) Asdain dashes to a commanded position.

_Dashing Speed depends on Asdain's Attack Speed. _

**Gift of the Scoundrel - R **

(Range: 650, Cooldown: 110/95/80, Cost: 100)

Darts his weapons in a direction, dealing 100/175/250 (90% additional AD) (+5% target max HP) physical damage to enemies hit and slowing them by 50% in 1s, and laying a Mark of Kunai. After a brief delay, Asdain swaps position with the lowest max HP enemy champion marked by the ability.

**Playstyle **

Strength: Super Flexibility, Dealing more damage on tanks.

Weakness: Slenderness, Dealing less damage on opponent’s carries.

Despite frequently building low health his majority is dealing with bruisers and tankers of enemy team. His abilities allow him to deal more damage basing on the large distinction of health compared to his opponent. He possesses an agile kit to be confident to fight against strong and powerful enemies in “long term” (my main desire).

He might not be the best choice for being an assassin. In combat, however, he usually is seen to approach enemies and use Ultimate, then dash toward his allies to prolong swapping distance, and his successive job is to survive. In the worst case, he owns a “safe ticket” that is Desperation’s Passive but it has a long cooldown.

Asdain’s biggest weakness is that if he wants to deal a large amount of damage he must risk himself by staying low health build. If he built as a tank he would deal very little damage.

Also, he can be one shot is real to happen.

Ok, let's go through this.

Lore Seems interesting, I like that he was set up to being a murderer (possibly by LeBlanc?), but I think he gets out of the situation too easily by becoming a soldier. I am not even sure if Noxians would allow that, I more expected that he would get killed immediately without many questions asked for what he did.

But I am not familiar enough with Noxian lore to know for sure. I just think it should have more consequences for his lore than just being an explanation why he is a known veteran now.

Kit and Gameplay I see quite some problems with that kit. Guaranteed crits from level 1, being able to stealth and it doesn't break if he attacks. If his health is low, he is untargetable but can still use his invisibility. Targeted dashes...

Honestly, this kit is loaded with stuff that would make the experience fighting him the worst thing ever. I don't see this working out. Being able to attack from stealth is broken by itself and should definitely never become a mechanic. Look at Akalis stealth, it is already hard to deal with and is not even remotely as strong as your Q here.

I think the kit seems like an assassin, but he doesn't have alot of burst skills in the kit. It is weird, you put tons of survivability in the kit with escapes and such stuff, but not much damage. You should change this in my opinion.

Personal opinion about Urgot ult I like that you want to bring it back and tying it to a skillshot is a really good idea IMO. But I would like to see the skill come back on another champion.

The skill was not just iconic for what it did, but for the name as well. Hyperkinetic Position Reverser was absolutely awesome as a skill name and many people I asked want to see that return as well.

And with such a name, the skill should probably come back in the kit of a Piltovian or Zaunite. It doesn't make alot of sense for a Noxian to have a skill with such a name.

I have to agree for the most part with SatomiKun. The lore was interesting, then at one point it felt like you got tried of writing it and wanted to get to the kit already so you just ended the story. You set up the lady with the staff as if she was about to be a pivotal character within the story, but then no mention for the remainder? If it wasn't for SatomiKun suggestion that maybe Leblanc was trying to set him up as the murderer I would have though you forgot to bring her back into the story.

Where does Asdain power come from? Is he just a good fighter? that's fine in that case if he is, but the mark of Kunai why does he have the ability to produce that? I like to write my lore's with subtle explanations of character abilities in their kits. Again you don't have to but as I'm reading through your kit I'm wondering why is he able to do that?

The kit itself, I'm not crazy about it. Only because I think you designed a champion that you wanted to be super aggressive with, but didn't want any downside to being over aggressive with. Your design has soooo much survivability. I did notice you tried to balance that with things like, if you build healthy, you lose damage reduction. If you pop the Dexterity passive, your movement speed is slowed and you cant use abilities... That's great that you noticed it needed to be balanced by something. But to me this is Irelia on crack. Go in, go crazy, and if you get messed up don't worry you have two beast ass passives that will kick in and sustain you long enough for your teammates to save you. This type of play style would get boring after a bit, in my opinion.

I think the if you just made this character a tank and only a tank and kept the Gift of the Scoundrel, it would make more sense. Because it just seems best played as a tank, and pulling the weakest enemy out in a team fight, then sustaining the other 4 while your teammates kill the one you swapped with. Have you ever given thought to that type of a change?

Hey there! Firstly, I must say that everything I say is strictly my opinion only. Also, I think there are some things regarding wording that you may need to fix. For example, you use "in 2 seconds" instead of "for 2 seconds". Also instead of "additional AD" use "bonus AD", this is the standardized format that riot uses.

I do like your character concept and lore overall, however both have some issues in them. The lore mentions a cloaked woman with a staff - alluding to Le blanc I assume? However, she never gets mentioned again later in the lore, although they would have had to come into contact at least once more given their faction allegiance. Although, you could also use this as a opportunity to introduce Le blanc while under an illusion as a second character in the lore -> you just need to allude to this without being direct either.

Onto the kit! Firstly, I must say it's very unique. His overall kit is that of an assassin/tank buster. You listed him as Fighter + Assassin despite punishing him for building tanky, I think you just focus on making him an assassin.

Passive His passive does too much damage on basic attacks against champions. 10% maximum health per auto is a rediculous amount, even if it is reduced by 5% of Asdain's health. His base health is fairly low, meaning that effectively, every basic attack would deal at least 5% maximum health against targets of the same level. Furthermore, AD and AP scaling in league functions differently, therefore you should not utilise a 50% AD + 50% AP damage for basic attacks, as people would only build AP due to AP items granting larger numbers. Also how does his basic attack funtion? Does it deal physical damage? Magic damage? Both? For the most part, assassins mainly utilize one type of damage, Zed, for instance, uses completely physical damage, with the exception of his passive.

Q I think the cooldown is way too short for an ability that grants 2 seconds of invisibility. At 9 seconds, with 40% cdr, the cooldown would be 5.4 seconds. The invisbility duration is 2 seconds, leaving only 3.4 seconds of opportunity for opponents to see you. I suggest increasing the cooldown, the numbers I would use would be something like 16/15/14/13/12. Or 13 seconds at all ranks. Also, having % increase in damage, increases the % health damage, on the passive so keep this in mind.

W Passive is extremely frustrating to play against. It's similar to the aatrox ultimate, except on a significantly lower cooldown. I don't think making him untargetable is a good design, even if it means he does not use the active component of his W. It just leads to an extremely frustrating experience for opponents to play against. Once again, 35 second cooldown with 40% cdr = 21 seconds. This essentially means he has to wait only 21 seconds, in between his passive.

E 5 Charges is way too many for a ability that grants mobility and deals damage. It's actually extremely unbalanced. Keep the charges to 2 or 3 and the non-targettable dash to consume all charges. I don't think you should be able to dash to get into range -> into another dash into an enemy. This seems extremely unfair, especially since his Q grants invisibility and movement speed. I'm also not sure why you mentioned "Dashing Speed depends on Asdain's Attack Speed." That actually seems a bit odd and random as normally dashes scale with movement speed if they had a scaling. Even more strange is that Asdain does not build very much attack speed.

R It's mostly fine, however the part where it says "After a brief delay, Asdain swaps position with the lowest max HP enemy champion marked by the ability." I think this is really odd to include on a character like this. I don't think it suits or complements the rest of his kit. I do like the ability itself, just that it doesn't work with this kit.

Overall, granted how squishy he is, even if his role is a tankbuster, he'd probably still lose against a tank in a 1v1. You should probably include some form of armor reduction or armor penetration. I like this champion concept, so I hope to see another iteration of him when you've worked on him some more. As a creator myself, I've had to go through several iterations myself, so best of luck!

P.S. I hope I didn't come across too harsh, it's just the way I do feedback :(
