New Champion Idea: Vronto
I really want an champion like Invoker from Dota 2 to be in League of Legends. I think the idea of a champion with many different abilities that doesn't need a form change would be awesome, and would give the player an extremely immersive experience. This is an idea of how a champion like this could exist in the game. I, personally, believe that a high skill cap champion designed like this would be a great sight to see in the hands of the world's best players and experienced players alike. Before reading, note that I made this in notepad over the course of 45 minutes late at night. This is a very rough sketch of how I would envision the champion. Only one of the abilities has a name.
Vronto name- close to thunder in greek, idrk
Design: looks like thundurus from pokemon, has god complex similar to- swain,cass,nidalee,karthus,asol invoker from DOTA 2 themes: lightning, light, god, knowledge region- targon lore- traveled all across the lands, observing teachings from shen, read same books from nasus, etc. never interacted with them, just looked on and learned. studied a ton of different stuff. has some burning reason to fight, like to prove himself or he just really likes fighting idrk abilities kinda realate to lore, dash is how he traveled, thunder guy so thunder+vision aa range-550, throws little lightning bolts over his head mid / supp? / top?? Late game/AP champ
Abilities: passive: cant buy boots cus cloud, movespeed scales like cassio no r,abilities are loaded into his r and interact when more than one is loaded at a time individual abilities+combos all have individual cooldowns. no mana, but new resource like energy but not. he gets like 3/4/5 total resource scaling with ult levels (6/11/16) (NUMBERS ONLY GIVEN AS AN EXAMPLE) every ability or ability combo consumes one resource resource regen is slow
q-thunder bolt basic damage, kinda like karthus q+thunderloards auto after does extra magic damage skillshot
w- move speed/ vision teemo w w/o passive and other stuff grants little move speed, leavees trail of vision behind him. trail of vision lingers for a little bit. self target only
e-crowd control/utility kinda like faster rengar e small root if enemy champ hit skillshot, passes through minions
q+w-vision/damage mini cassio w / karthus w, burns bush+deals damage. burn bush disapears for a while but grows back. if enemy in bush when ability lands, silenced skillshot
q+e- damage+cc swain w with smaller delay b4 pop and cc trace small area with mouse after traced, small delay and pop if inside area, damaged and rooted skillshot
w+e- cc+vision chooses one enemy damage delt by Vronto amplified+ true sight to them+ small slow point and click
q+w+e- dash double kass r, but instant and no damage pretty long dash, instant, has to go full length
pros- highly versitile lots of utility with cc+vision
cons- low mobility HIGH skill cap
Notes:
- i tried to make it so each of his basic abilities has a theme that transfers into the combos q=damage w=vision e=crowd control
- no clue how skill leveling would work. maybe like: q- more damage on q+ q combos w- longer vision on w + w combos e- longer cc on e+ e combos
- no clue on base stats, but i think low defensive stats would be good
- ap scalings, no clue how high they should be
- no clue on cast times
- no clue on what his epithet should be
- although the kit seems extremely overtuned, his resource bar would hinder his ability to spam stuff. the Vronto player would really have to think about the abilities they used.
