[Champion Concept] Zhoran, The Nights Vengeance

I have been playing league of legends for years and have come up with a champion concept which I feel would be a fun an interesting addition to the champion pool. Just some preliminary skills and thoughts so far, no hard numbers or anything like that yet.

Zhoran - The Nights Vengeance

The champion would be a mobile melee fighter and would most likely would be played as a jungler. Zhoran would appear in a black/grey suit, with gold/silver gauntlets as primary weapons, a gold/silver utility belt/sash and grappling hook attached to his back. The champion would be a sort of vigilante, and consequently would revolve around mobility and positioning, as well as focusing a specific target. Zhoran could have a once been an engineer/inventor who had something tragic happen to him, causing him to rethink his life and become a vigilante to make a difference. Because of this Zhoran felt the need to use his creations to stop the injustice of Runeterra. Zhoran could be from Piltover, and might have connections to Caitlynn Caitlyn or Vi Vi , who's form of justice might have failed him. He could also be related to Heimerdiner Heimerdinger due to the technology of the suit or maybe even the Protobelt item item 3152 , as it could have been Zhorans first belt. Zhoran could also have enemies, which he deems to be injust.

**Passive - Tactical Advantage ** Kills or assist an enemy permanently cause them to take additional true damage on auto attacks. (The target must be selected/marked in advance, with the passive only dealing additional damage to marked targets) (Could be some sort of armour pen, or max health damage instead of true damage)

MELEE (Range: 150) Basic attack - Punches with gauntlets

**Q - Explosive Fist ** Cooldown: 10-7 seconds Casting Range: 200-250 units

Next basic attack has additional range and deals additional damage. (Auto attack reset) (Could deal True damage/Magic Damage)

W - Shroud of Darkness Cooldown: 20 seconds

Creates a shield around Zhoran to absorb damage. (Absorbs both magical and physical damage) (Could provide a brief decaying movement speed buff once the shield is broken)

E - Grapple Cooldown: 20-15 seconds Casting Range: 1000-1150 units Skillshot Width: 150 units Ability Speed: 1250

Fires a grappling hook to briefly slow and deal damage to the enemy hit. Upon recast Zhoran would dash to the target. (This would be able to hit both allies and enemies) (Can be casted on minions / wards)

RANGED (Range: 500-525) Basic attack - Shoots bullets from guns mounted on the gauntlet

Q - Explosive Projectile Cooldown: 10-7 seconds Casting Range: 1000-1150 units Skillshot Width: 150 units Ability Speed: 1250

Grabs an explosive from utility belt before firing it in the target direction, briefly slowing enemies hit which may be recast to detonate in a small radius early (Could be similar to Lissandra's Q, where the shuriken explodes when killing an enemy (minion) to deal increased damage/increased blast range) (Would be a weak brief slow, 30-50% for 0.5 sec)

W - Cloak of Darkness Cooldown: 30-25 seconds Casting Range: Self cast Area Radius: 200 units

Drops a smoke pellet to stealth allies for a few seconds within the target area. (Very unique skill which could open up possibility for different plays) (Self cast or skill shot with a small range) (Could be similar to Evelynn's passive, where the enemies are notified if they are nearby) (Could need a small time to stealth 0.5 sec)

E - Release Cooldown: 15-10 seconds Casting Range: 450 units Ability Speed: 1250 Knocks Zhoran away from the targeted enemy by firing the ranged form of grappling hook on enemies, also breaks free of slows. (Similar to Quinn's Vault however does not slow effected enemy) (Does not release from stuns/suppresses/snares other forms of CC)

R - Change of Tactics Switches between Meele and Range form to gain new abilities. (Could also get a brief movement speed buff upon switch) (Changes Module/Cartridge of grappling hook) (Gun appears/retracts from gauntlet) (Could have a small cast time)

Additional thoughts

  • Could have a unique levelling up system where points spent on ultimate can be allocated to empower basic abilities (Such as increase in Explosive Fist/Projectile blast range, increased duration of Clock/Shroud of Darkness, a slow/greater slow on Grapple/Release) -A very mobile champ which is fairly squishy, and has clearly defined weakness (Hard cc) -Could also have a unique resource pool, with 3-4 pieces of 'ammo', where each skill costs 1/2 resources, and where the resource must be 'reloaded' similar to Graves Graves or Jhin Jhin .

I have a lot of ideas here, which i feel would be an interesting addition to the league of legends, however I feel like this might be too much for one champion. I am very interested to hear some opinions and feedback, (specifically about the champion's lore and ability names, balance as well as overall design) so please don't hesitate to comment.
