[Champion-Concept]: Arcus, the Radiant Spear

Note that this is more or less a work in progress. I do have his abilities set up already, but I suppose the point of making a champion concept is to share it, so yeah... Also, numbers are subject to change, and most stats are given more or less arbitrary just of what I think they could be like.

Background: Arcus is a... "less evil" demon. Instead of feasting on human suffering, pain or despair, he thrives on their faith. He presents himself as a savior to the people, not afraid to show himself publicly. He may not be good, but he prefers humans to be saved - not safe. Accordingly, Arcus is an enemy to most other demons, as they disrupt his work.

Appereance: In line with his role as a divine figure to those who believe in him, he appears in golden and blue armor, wielding spears of pure light. His Sunlight Spears appear floating behind his back, depending on how many charges of E: [Sunlight Spear] he currently has.

Role: Arcus specializes in zoning his opponents with his spears, before rushing in for a bursty kill.

Abilities: (maybe skip up to his E. It's kinda central to his kit)

[Passive: Inner Light] When Arcus walks over a Sunlight Spear he picks it up, removing it from the battlefield, gaining a charge of his E: "Sunlight Spear" and a short, decaying movement speed burst.

[Q: Resonating Dawn] After 0,75 seconds, Arcus teleports to the target Sunlight Spear and begins a Resonating Nova at the spear. Resonating Nova deals medium damage around a Sunlight Spear, destroys it, and then spreads to all Sunlight Spears bound to the original. CD: 12 - 8 seconds

Skyward-Bonus: Resonating Nova has an increased radius and nearsights all hit enemies for 1.5 seconds.

[W: Skyward] Arcus takes to the skies above the target area for 3/4/5/6/7 seconds, but is unable to move. While Skyward Arcus abilities have additional effects.

Recast to crash into the ground in the target area, dealing medium damage. CD: 20 seconds

[E: Sunlight Spear] Arcus can hold 2/3/4/5 charges of Sunlight Spear (displayed by up to 4 Spears hovering behind his back and one in his hand). Activate to hurl a Sunlight Spear in the target direction, dealing low damage to all hit enemies, stopping at the first enemy champion hit and snaring him (Snare has 5 seconds Cooldown on the same target). The Spear cannot penetrate walls. The Sunlight Spear remains on the ground where it's flight ended for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds. Each Sunlight Spear on the ground tethers to the two closest other Sunlight Spears within a range of 300 units. One Sunlight Spear can only tether to a maximum of 2 other Sunlight Spears. If an enemy walks through a tether they are dealt damage and are revealed for 2 seconds. Gain 1 charge every 10-6 seconds Max charges increase on level 6/11/16 Cooldown of 0.5 seconds between uses

Skyward-Bonus: Raises damage from low to medium and turns it from a Skillshot into a radial ground target AoE. Is now able to throw spears over walls.

[R: Holy Rain]

  • Only usable when Skyward - Channel a hailstorm of Sunlight Spears at your cursor, for a total of 5/7/9 spears over 2.5 seconds. Each spear deals low - medium damage. Sunlight Spears remain at their impact point for 8 seconds. This ability can forcibly extend the duration of Skyward over it's usual end. CD: 120/100/80 seconds

Gameplay: His primary gameplay goal is to get out as many Sunlight Spears as possible and then to use his Q: [Resonating Dawn] to blow them up in a similar fashion to Gangplanks Powder Kegs, with the difference that every Resonating Nova can damage a hit enemy. A possible set-up would be: E - W - E - R - E - Q - W If you can concentrate your fire on a single enemy, this should be enough damage to kill any sole squishy, and severely chunk a tank for what it's worth. However, in a teamfight care is advised, because if the initial combo doesn't kill their carries, you will be standing in the middle of the enemy team.

I set his W up as a gating tool for his combo, so he can have a visible power window with significant up and downtime without being completely helpless. Or well, it turned out to be that way. Still, it doesn't seem like a bad thing to have.

If there are any questions or criticism I look forward to answering what I can.
