Basic Champion Concept (For anyone's use to alter)

Alright, so I don't have much on this concept but it's enough to peak interest of a lot of people I'm sure.

Basically after watching a YouTube video by Gbay99 about the cancellation of the old champion "Omen" I ended up understanding how difficult it must be to create champions without destroying the flow of the game with accidental OP combinations that prove virtually unwinnable against (cough cough Juggernauts... wut?).

So what about a champion with amazing abilities, but natural hard handicap.

What about a passive that _naturally rotates_between its own handicaps?

Imagine some sort of champion that changes color or symbol to allow enemies and allies to understand a sequential change in defensive physique?

In short: Every X amount of seconds pass by and the damage weakness shifts based off a passive.

Let's make a test champion with example names to explain. (Keep in mind all names are just test. I'm not implying that this will or should be a void spawn)

Champion: Example Passive: Every 20 seconds Example will shift between defensive states involuntarily. When Example shifts into "Solid State" he is passively more defensive against physical attacks. (Armor increase by 25% and Magic Resistance decreased by 30%). After 20 seconds Example will then shift into the alternate corresponding state, "Void State" where he is now passively more defensive against magic attacks. (Magic Resistance increased by 25% and Armor decreased by 30%).

Example does not use mana for abilities - His mana bar will be replaced with the timer for his passive. As it runs out, he immediately shifts forms.

Second Passive: As Example levels up, there will be significant changes in his passive, and the damage received/defended will be increased over time for a more dramatic effect.

The entire reason for this intricate passive is to allow the player and his or her allies to work as a team understanding the power of the enemy comp and when to fight/ when not to fight.

If Example is in Solid State he is naturally great to fight a dominantly AD comp. If your allies know this, then when they see the timer (which will appear in status bar visible to allies and enemies; also everyone will see his status bar under his HP gauge with vision on him...) they can choose to engage or disengage within the window of time they have to fight with Example's strength / weaknesses.

If you are fighting a magic based enemy team composition, you'll want to engage right before Example runs out of his Solid State, so when the fight starts and things get going, he will already have swapped into Void State to negate most of the damage.

HOWEVER - if you take to long to close out the fight (which will be the strategic choice to buy time and extend the fight by the enemy team, or to make picks and then focus down Example) then Example will lose his defensive bonus versus that enemy composition and most likely be dealt with swiftly.

So basically the whole reason I wrote this concept is to show everyone (including the Riot Champion Creation team) that there are ways that seem more complex when written out to balance your champions ahead of time.

Yes this champion has potential to be ridiculously strong, but it also allows good players to be good. With proper warding and vision based on skill level, you can see Examples timer and watch his positioning to anticipate a teamfight and either waste time forcing the enemy to chase you down, losing precious seconds from Example's passive, or save your skins by getting away... or even waste enough time to turn the tides of the fight into your favor, and win this fight.

He is strong, but it is extremely clear to see how working as a team will be crucial for both fighting with and against Example. My intention was to make him DEFENSIVELY strong only, not offensively. Because then he could probably end up jungling and soloing multiple enemies within his window.

I think a champion with this passive will be best off with that passive being the strongest thing he has. Low CC, low damage, but high damage resistance from his passive.

Thoughts and comments? I invite harsh criticism <3 Anyone may feel free to take this concept and develop a champion from it!
