Neuester - The Channeller (Original Champion)

Background: Neuester (New- es-ter) is a Yordle (megling) melee-paladin who turned to the dark arts for power. She utilizes several techniques which allow her to be fun and versatile in combat and utility using a channeling mechanic which is much like charging up an ability.

Passive: **Dark Mantra ** If Neuester hasn't taken damage in 3 seconds, she channels her blade Verathe (Verathe is a buff)

Neuester can attack while channeling. While Verathe is equipped Neuester can move while channeling Skills that are fully channeled gain additional magic dmg - for each second channeled.

Neuester can channel two abilities at the same time but will receive damage over time scaling for every ability channeled and looses a channeled ability after 2.5s of not using it.

Weapon Break Will break after 30 seconds of receiving damage. After receiving 50% of damage weapon will destruct over 30 seconds.

Channel: 2s - Instant Q: Descarde: After channeling for 2 seconds, Neuester fires a beam dealing magic damage to enemies in an area. Enemy champions hit leave a ball of dark matter. If Descarde hits dark matter it implodes pulling enemies toward the center of it dealing additional damage.

If Uuthber is active Dark Matter will follow enemies and increase the range of implode prioritizing those with the highest Dark Culling stacks.

Channel 3s - Instant W: Shadow Leap: After channeling for 1s Neuester can cast Shadow Leap: Shadow leap instantly moves Neuester to target location while leaving behind a shadowy trail stopping at the champion hit dealing physical damage in a cone in front of her. The longer Shadow Leap is channeled the further the range

Enemies that are hit by Shadow Leap receive a stack of Dark Culling

While Dark Culling is active, everytime an enemy that is immobilized receives damage a stack of Dark Culling is added. Dark Culling is removed after 2s of no-effect changes.

Channel 2s: Instant E: Karmic Resolve Passive: If Dark Culling is active on an enemy nearby this ability deals more damage per stack. Active: After channeling for 2s Neuester's next basic auto attack will bash an enemy towards a direction. Enemies that collide with the first enemy hit receive Dark Culling.

Karmic Resolve can also be used on Dark Matter

If Uuthber is active Karmic Resolve does double its damage.

R: Channel Uuthber Passive: After not receiving damage for 3 seconds Neuester gains a new weapon Uuthber. (Uuthber is a buff)

While Uuthber is formed, Neuester keeps all stacks of Dark Culling in Uuthber Uuthber is a conjured shield that Neuester wields in her left arm.

Channel 2.5s - Instant Channeling Sigyrtia Active: While channeling Neuester deals magic damage around her. When channeling is complete., she can activate the abilitiy again to deal exponential magic damage to enemies surrounding equal to a base magic damage stat and all of the accumulated stacks of Dark Culling.

When Sigyrtia explodes all Dark Matter explodes.

FAQ: Q:Can Neuester attack and move while recalling

A:I want to say yes. But attacking or being attacked would stop recall. A moving recall hasn't been implemented, which in a case could be this characters unique trait.

Q: What resource does Neuester use?

A: Currently thats debatable. She could use any resource but I would prefer simply cooldowns on abilties or mana. Although I think health cost or energy would be interesting to see.

Q: What kind of player is she?

A: Her kit allows her to be a mage, fighter and assassin. But would benefit from another character to enable higher Dark Culling stacks. Her kit isn't meant for her to be a tank. but her playstyle id imagine to be a bit of of Karma, Irelia and VI.

Q_: Why does Neuester get damaged while casting more than one channel?_

A: It's a RP thing. Usually when a mage is doing too much magic, it strains them, or becomes dangerous for the user in most fantasy settings. Same applies here. The magic damage isnt True or Physical damage. She is being damaged by her own power. Thus you can build around that damage.

The benefit to channel more than one skill is that youre damage output is increased per skill channeling.

A: ^ Potentially Channeling too many skills.

Q: How to combo?

A: Q channel for 1.5s, W channel 1.0s, E Channel + Use W, Fire Q, auto attack and use E = Push Dark Matter in the direction the enemy will be going. Channel Q activate - auto attack and Activate R. Auto attack while its channeling. Unleash R.

Q: How would she be played in group settings?

A: Because her Dark Matter creates cc, he should try positioning Dark Matter amongst a group of enemies to effect them as well as nuke a group all at once.

Q: What inspirations does this character carry with it?

A: I wanted to create a champion that was mixed in the Feud of Leona and Diana. Leona is the Sun, Diana the Moon, but the Void remains unsaid. Neuester is to be that character. Characters like Tristana and Poppy haven't been revisited and I thought itd be interesting to bring someone from that lore back.
