A gold focused top/mid laner

Alright. New champ idea. Get ready.

I love the plundering pirate idea of gangplank with his extra gold income. It makes for a very fun experience trying to get extra gold with your Parrrrley and Barrels. Same thing with Draven's Adoration stacks. But what if there was a champ that took the gold income idea a step further.

This would be a champ with a treasure hunter theme who had a two part passive for extra gold. His/her passive would be that whenever they got a kill (or possibly an assist, maybe too strong though) an artifact would drop where the enemy died. When you walk over it, you pick it up and it goes into your inventory. You can then take your collected artifacts to the store and sell them for a random amount between 100-500 gold. (Maybe you drop them all if you die?) But what's the use of all this extra gold if you reach late game? The other part of the passive is that you get an extra item slot.

This would make him/her extremely strong late game, so obviously the early game would have to be pretty weak. I think this could absolutely balance fine though when you think of champions like Draven, Gangplank, Nasus, and Veigar who scale really hard with extra gold or a stacking mechanic.

I think this would make for a really cool champion that would be loads of fun to play with RNG build right into the kit, and the exclusive ability to have a 7th item late game. (Cassiopeia doesn't have to buy boots, so an extra item slot wouldn't be too crazy imo.)

What do you all think? Would this make for a fun champ? Would it be too strong? What sort of abilities do you think would make for a fun champ? (Personally I think a skillshot whip that would pull you into champions and terrain would be a cool one so you can fight up close and personal and be more mobile)

Have a good one everybody! :)
