Passive- Master of Arms Innate- Offense: Jax's basic attacks will grant him a stack of Relentless Assault for 2.5 seconds, granting him 4/6/8/10/12% attack speed, stacking up to 8 times for up to 32/48/64/80/96% bonus attack speed. Stacks fall off once every 0.25 seconds after not attacking for 2.5 seconds. Innate- Defense: If Jax is damaged by an enemy's basic attack while within his own attack animation to attack them, he will match their attack with equal force. This will cause their basic attack to have it's damage reduced by a flat 5 (+3% AD) (+3% AP) damage. Levels: 1/5/9/13/17
Ability 1- Veteran's Assault Passive: This ability stores a charge every 16/14/12/10/8 seconds, storing up to 2/2/2/3/3 charges. Jax will automatically gain a charge every time he scores a champion kill or assist or whenever he hits an enemy champion with a basic attack enhanced by Empowered Strike or Grandmaster's Flame. Active: Jax performs a flip through the air in the target direction, dealing 30/45/60/75/90 (+50% bonus AD) (+25% AP) physical damage to enemies around him as he flips through the air. Upon deactivating this ability, he will deal 50/75/100/125/150 (+50% bonus AD) physical damage to nearby enemy units and stun them for 1 second. The damage is increased by 10% for every basic attack that Jax dodged during that time, up to a max of 100% increased damage. This ability goes on cool down once deactivated. This cool down reduction stacks with other sources of cool down reduction. Cost: No Cost Cool Down: 140/110/80 seconds
EXPLANATION Jax is currently a champion that I think could have an overall better kit since right now he has a pretty straight forward and somewhat boring kit. What mainly keeps players coming back to him is his thematic, being the the strongest combatant to every live throughout history. I decided to try and come up with a kit for Jax because, eh, I'm a little bored and wanted to have a take on it. I made his Counterstrike much more powerful, allowing it to last for up to 3 seconds without Jax refunding any Energy from dodging or procing Defense. This makes him exceptional against basic attack oriented champions, a counter he has always fulfilled but I wanted to enhance. His old Q and W have been combined into one spell that is a dash and enhanced basic attack. The upside is it all happens in one spell cast, giving him room for an extra spell. The down side is the combined damage of the "two spells" is overall reduced and Empower's cool down is now equal to Leap Strike's. Of course, Jax needs a new Q and I gave him one. Jax, I believe, would be considered a Skirmisher based on current classifications, so I gave him a pretty insane way to stick to targets who don't have long range dashes or blinks through Veteran's Assault. It is basically just a pure, dash plus damage ability with tons of charges to allow Jax to dance around the battlefield to dodge enemy spells, with the dash having increased speed every rank. At first, the dash is completed over 0.5 seconds, being moderately quick. At Rank 5, the dash happens over nearly 0.15 seconds, which is incredible speed only matched by some quick projectiles in the game. The cool down between uses is also reduced per rank and Jax is granted a charge every kill or assist AND whenever he lands an empowered basic attack. Basically, Jax will be using this ability a TON in combat, which is why it's Energy Cost is surprisingly low. Even with normal Energy regeneration, a Rank 5 Q Jax will be using 50 Energy every second, which a Jax not procing Defense at the same time will not be regenerating per second anytime soon. Even procing Defense will hardly give Jax 50 Energy per second. This also assumes Jax isn't using other abilities during this time as well. Basically, with this rework, Jax has become a character heavily revolved around dodging and constantly switching between offensive and defensive play against his opponents. He needs to dash around the battle field to dodge enemy abilities while at the same time procing Defense to regenerate Energy. Then, when he needs to go ham in a fight, he can just pop Ultimate to regenerate a ton of Energy every second (80 at max rank) and dash his happy way all around the battle field to victory. Seriously, Jax with this rework has seriously become a dodging machine that focuses on having a nice flow between offense and defense in order to better his opponent(s).
