An Open Letter To Riot Games -- Give Gangplank The Ultimate Skin

Ahoy swabbies!

I am what you would consider a Gangplank enthusiast and my bias aside, I believe there is seriously a lot of potential for Gangplank when it comes to the ultimate skin. He is a character who has fantasies that can be fulfilled in terms of unbridled badassery. While the skin idea I have in mind may be redundant, it would allow for the exploration of a side of Gangplank that people already are familiar with and love.

Enter, Deep Sea Gangplank, Drowned Gangplank, Nagakabouros Gangplank -- these are a few monikers all representing the same idea.

Imagine, what if what happened to Pyke, had happened to Gangplank? Instead of returning to the shores of Bilgewater, he sank, full of hate and not coming to terms with the untimely end of his rule as self-proclaimed King of Bilgewater. The terrors of the deep take advantage of this broken man, and use him as a vessel to act as their emissary on dry land and in higher waters. With a new appearance, Gangplank uses his newfound abilities to claim dominion not just over the waters of Bilgewater, but the rest of the seas in Runeterra -- maybe he fears what would happen to him if he doesn't.

Or, consider the fact that Gangplank is one of the few people to survive the Test, as administered by Illaoi. Gangplank pushed through by sheer force of will, and came out the other side full of purpose. What if the deity of Bilgewater was so pleased with his performance, and the sacrifices he was trying to make (Gangplank referred to Graves and Twisted Fate as tithes when trying to drown them) that she deems Gangplank as her acolyte, granting him new abilities and a new appearance -- one much more terrifying than his regular snarling face.

This different appearance has already been explored for Spooky Gangplank's visual update at the time of his rework. However I feel as though it would be rewarding for Riot Games, and the community, if this idea was revisited, and then kicked up to 11.
