What type of bird is Rakan?

Love bird.

He's a peacock. He's based in personality on the peacock, which sports an extravagant plumage that it uses to court it's lady, often in dance and shows of it's beautiful tail feathers. The peahen, on the other hand, is remarkably dull in color and typically do not have the boisterous look that the peacocks have. This is reflected in Xayah, in that she's a deeper, moodier color, and her personality directly contradicts Rakan's insane frat boy personality with the sullen gloominess.

He closely resembles a salmon-crested (Moluccan) cockatoo.

I think they might be based off of the Chinese Mythological bird the Jian. The Jian have one wing and cannot fly without a partner (I think this might be the reason that Xayah's joke is her trying to fly with one wing but then falling to the ground?) and their splash art have both sides of their wings out together, like one.
