Change inhibitor to turret

So I was thinking what if we changed the T3 turrets into the inhibitor itself? So that way no body can simply backdoor your inhib without minions (meaning it will take macro to do so).

I just lost a match 18-2-9 Kassadin, where I went full build but my whole team lost lane, I carried us to win team fights be couldn't get any objectives, and we couldn't get the opposing inhibs ourselves because the enemy survivors can backdoor our newly respawned inhibs destroyed it without minions, threatening to end the game on us because we had no nexus turrets. I had to back to stop them from ending, meaning the enemy team all respawned and they were freely able elder and baron because we have supers to clear again.

Maybe don't let them get the 2 massive turrets directly in front of the inhibitor? That'd be a good start.

And why shouldn't the enemy team be rewarded for taking them down? they've earned the right to threaten a backdoor since you've allowed the map to progress into such a state.

I like the idea of the Nexus itself being able to defend itself. This is a mechanic that other mobas include, specifically to deter toxic behavior like backdooring, as you already pointed out.

It's an incredibly feel-bad situation to have your nexus wide open, making just leaving base a potential death sentence. The enemy team has free reign over the entire map or you risk losing to 1 sole bush-camping BMer. You aren't allowed to contest objectives, you aren't allowed to counter-push their base. Nothing short of an Ace guarantees you won't get BM'd. Even then, you only have the respawn time to literally run from your base, to their base & hope an enemy isn't running Teleport.

With all the terrible anti-snowballing mechanics Rito has forced, it's truly amazing that such a basic one has yet to be "fixed."

i don't know how i feel i'm kinda in the middle. although it is very true that it is quite annoying that this happens especially when really far ahead, bit at the same time it is an incredible feeling when you are able to win the game for your team because you had one well played backdoor. What i think they should do is allow the turret in front of the inhibitor to have the ability to rebuild itself so if timed correctly backdoors are still possible, but a miss timed one will lead to a loss.

Well first ask yourself, why do we want to be able to stop backdooring?
