Champion Concepts Based on TDP Magic System
For those of you who have no idea what the title means TDP stands for The Dragon Prince which is a kids show on Netflix which I really enjoy. I was inspired to make several character concepts based on the magic system. For those of you who don't want to watch the show I'll give you a rundown of the magic system.
7 Kinds of magic
Sky magic: Utilizes power of the sky
Sun Magic: Utilizes fiery nature of the sun but also the warm, life giving nature of it.
Star Magic: This is the only one I won't use, since I know next to nothing about it (unless I turn Aaravos into a champ concept but he deserves better.)
Ocean Magic: Utilizes power of the ocean(I will not have a concept for this mostly cuz we know next to nothing about it.
Earth Magic: Utilizes earth itself as well as the flora and fauna that spring from it.
Moon Magic: Conjuring of illusions (as far as we know)
Dark Magic: Utilizes the essence of magical creatures as well as their parts (anatomy) for powerful spells.
Note that in the show EVERY spell has a rune you carve into the air as well as a vocal command associated with that particular spell.
Now for the concepts!
Note: Several of the names of the spells are based on latin, in the show some of the spells are also based on latin (in the show it's called Ancient Draconic)
Concept 1: Ieviria: The Sun Mage Ieviria uses Sun Magic to heal her allies as well as burn her enemies to the ground. She is a sunfire elf.
Passive: Solar Aura Ieviria heals allies within 400 units of her for 1/2/3/4% (levels 1/5/9/13) of her current mana every second. This expends no mana
Q: Solivoce Ieviria calls down sunfire upon a target location after a delay of 0.5 seconds, all enemies hit take 50/90/130/170/210+(75% ability power) damage over the next 3 seconds. range: 900 target area radius: 150 cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11
W: Solvitara Ieviria heals a target ally champion for 30/60/90/120/150+(45% ability power) health over the next 1.5 seconds. range: 600 cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12
E: Sunforge Blade Ieviria's next 3 basic attacks are melee but deal an additional 20/50/80/110/140+(25% ability power) bonus magic damage. If an enemy is being damaged by** Solivoce** the magic damage is increased by 15%. cooldown: 10 flat
R: Solignem Vocalia Ieviria carves a rune made of magic for 1.5 seconds. After which she unleashes flames all around her, the flames linger for 3/4/5 seconds and deal 50/100/150+(35% ability power) damage every second. Allies gain 20/30/40% bonus healing from Solar Aura while in the flames. cooldown: 140/120/100 radius: 300/350/400
Concept 2: Sirius: The sky Mage'
Sirius uses the power of the sky (and some familiar spells) to vanquish foes. He is a (sky?) elf.
Passive: Sporadic Lighting Every third basic attack shoots lighting that deals additional magic damage equal to 50% ability power.
** Q: Fullminous** After a delay of 1 second, shoot lighting in a line, dealing 100/140/180/220/260+(65% ability power) damage to the first enemy hit. cooldown: 11 flat
W: Aspiro Frigas After a delay of 1 second freezes enemies in a cone, dealing 50/80/110/140/170+(30% ability power) damage and stunning enemies for 1.5 seconds. cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 cone degree: 70 range: 550
E: Aspiro After a delay of 0.5 seconds blow enemies in a line 350 units back, this will interrupt dashes. range: 400/450/500/550/600 cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11
R: Vocalia Foltalis After a delay of 1 second strike an area with lighting 3 times over the next 1.5 seconds. Each strike deals 150/250/350+(50% ability power) damage. range: 1000 target area radius: 150 Cooldown: 120/110/100
Terene: The Earth Mage Terene is an (earth?) elf who uses the magic from the earth to heal her allies as well as unleash the fury of the earth below upon her enemies.
Passive: Earthborne Offensive Terene’s basic attack have a 0.75 second windup, the actual attack sends a shockwave through the ground towards the target of that basic attack which deals 40-150 (levels 1-18)+(25% ability power) magic damage to all enemies that happen to be in the way as well as the primary target
Q: Disturbance Terene takes 0.75 seconds to carve a magical rune in the air before rupturing the ground on a target location, dealing 70/100/130/160/190+(45% ability power) to enemies hit. Enemies hit will also be grounded for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 Range: 1000
W: Earthen Spring Terene carves a magical spell into the ground which takes 1.5 seconds. After which Terene heals all nearby allies for 40/60/80/100/120+(40% ability power) health. Radius of Effect: 400 Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14
E:Call from Below Terene summons a rock before hurling it forward (this takes 1 second). This deals 70/110/150/190/230+(50% ability power) damage to the first enemy hit. Range:1000 Cooldown:10/9.5/9/8.5/ 8
R: Earthquake Terene carves runes for 1.5 seconds before unleashing all the power of the earth in a line. This deals 100/200/300+(70% ability power) damage to all enemies hit. Enemies hit are also silenced for 1/1.5/2 seconds Range: 2000 Cooldown: 150/120/90
Luvos: The Moon Mage Luvos uses illusions to outwit and trick his opponents.
Passive: Mark of Light When Luvos damages an enemy he marks them with true sight for 0.75 seconds.
Q: Trabaelia Luvos summons moonlight to strike enemies in a line, dealing 80/120/160/200/240+(65% ability power to enemies hit. Range: 700 Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8
W: Multimarus Timor Luvos carves a rune for 0.75 seconds, after which he deploys 2 clones of himself. These clones will run away from enemy champions that go within 500 units of them. These clones will disappear when attacked. The clones will appear to have the same amount of health as Luvos. These clones will last 5/6/7/8/9 seconds if not damaged. Cooldown: 30/27/24/21/18
E: Historia Vivendum: Luvos selects a target enemy before taking 1 second to draw a magical rune. This will generate a shimmering imitation of the target that trails them 2 seconds behind their current location. Luvos’ team has true sight of this shimmering clone but not the champion it is attached to. The shimmering clone lasts 3/4/5/6/7 seconds. Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 Range:1000
R: I actually do not know what to do for this, please leave ideas
Reyna: The Dark Mage Reyna is a human mage who got hold of a guide to dark magical spells. She quickly developed profound ability with Dark Magic
Passive: Necessary Ingredients Reyna collects ingredients that greatly empower her spells, she has no mana costs.
There are 3 collectable ingredients. Ashes of minions( have a 20% chance of dropping from lane minions) Appendage of a Beast:(have a 50% chance of dropping from a large monster) Stolen Life: Have 100% chance of dropping from champions or objective monsters(dragons, baron, etc) Reyna can carry a maximum of 5 ingredients at once. She will use any ingredient that is available for her spells.
Q: Flaming Arm After a delay of 1 second, Reyna extends a massive flaming tentacle forward that deals 50/80/110/140/170+(30% ability power) damage and pulls enemies 200 units closer. This has a base range of 650 .If Reyna has 1 Appendage of a Beast it will be consumed and this ability will have a range of 800, pull enemies 350 units closer and have a scaling of 65% ability power instead of 30% ability power. Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8
W: Ashen Minions After a delay of 1 second Reyna summons 2 smoke wolves that attack enemies, prioritizing the enemy Reyna is attacking, then champs, then anything else. The wolves deal 20/30/40/50/60+(15% ability power) per attack (they have an attack speed of 1.00) ,and have 450 movement speed. The wolves have 100/150/200/250/300+(75% ability power) health. The wolves will last for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds. .If Reyna has 1 Ashes of Minions it will be consumed to summon a third wolf, the wolves will also deal an additional 5/10/15/20/25+(5% ability power) damage per basic attack. Cooldown: 25/22/19/16/13
E: Steal the Voice Reyna extends a spectral hand outwards to steal the voice of an enemy, silencing them for 2 seconds before the voice is returned. If Reyna is killed the silence will be ended early Range: 500 .If Reyna has 1 Appendage of a Beast this ability can have a range of 700 instead of 500.
. If Reyna has 1 Stolen Life this ability will deal 40/80/120/160/200+(55% ability power) and will silence enemies for 5 seconds instead of 2 seconds. Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12
R: Soul Transfusion Reyna uses dark magic to drain an enemy champion of life. This will deal 5/10/15+(2.5% per 100 ability power) of an enemy’s maximum health as magic damage over the next 5 seconds. For the first 2 seconds of the spell the enemy is slowed by 50% but for the next 3 seconds the enemy is stunned. This can be interrupted. . If Reyna has 1 Stolen Life this ability will deal an additional 100/200/300+(35% ability power) damage over the 5 seconds. Range: 600 Cooldown: 150/130/110
