New dual-form AP champ Vael, the Cloven Flame
VAEL, THE CLOVEN FLAME
Lore: Ancient monster, fire demon, conflict, the usual drill Feuds with Nami
Aesthetics: As a fire demon, Vael is best recognized by the flames rising out of his back. He is quadrupedal, with a maliciously mischievous face and a sizable tail which swings as he walks. His resource bar is modeled similarly to Rengar's, with 5 sections that each hold a charge. When Vael's form changes, flames spout from his back as they change color, from red to blue, etc.
Passive: When Vael casts an ability, he gets a charge of his personal resource, Flux. When the bar is full, the cooldowns on his first three abilities will be reset, and the next ability he casts will force him to change form and consume all of his charges of Flux. This means that every 6th ability cast by Vael will change his form. RED: Vael gains 20 AP and 10/17/30 armor, but loses blue form bonuses BLUE: Vael gains 10AD and 15/20/30 magic resist, but loses red form bonuses
Q: Flame Blast/ Scorching Bite Cooldown: 8 Seconds RED: After a delay of 0.5 seconds Vael will shoot a torrent of blue flame in a line for 60/67/76/90/110 + 70%AP magic damage BLUE: Vael will deliver 30/40/55/75/110 + 100%AD + 20%AP physical damage on his next autoattack within 3 seconds. The target burns for 20/40/70 over 5 seconds. Passive: Vael receives 2/3/4/5/6 HP and 2/4/6 Mana from each unit killed.
W: Heat Shield/ Tidecaller Approaches Cooldown: 12 Seconds RED: Vael gets a shield for 60/75/95/120/150 + 20%AP, which deals out 10/12/14/16/18 damage per second as AOE in a medium radius around Vael. If the shield inflicts any damage, the amount of damage given is also taken out of the shield, since the enemy unit has absorbed the damaging heat. The shield lasts for 10 seconds, or until it is depleted. BLUE: Vael dashes a medium distance towards the cursor and slows enemy units by 15/30/45% for 2.5 seconds in a small radius around where he lands.
E: Ring of Fire/ Illumination Cooldown: 12/10/8 Seconds RED: Vael casts a ring of fire which causes enemies to burn for 10/20/30/45/60 +40%AP per second for 5 seconds. The 5 seconds are applied and refreshed whenever an enemy unit comes into contact with the flames. The ring lasts for 4 seconds. BLUE: Vael casts a fireball which does 20/25/35/50/70 +30%AP damage in a medium range line. The fireball gives vision in a small radius around it as it travels.
R: Conflagration Cooldown: 150/120/80 Regardless of the form Vael is currently in, he grows 2 times larger and changes to bright Green. His Flux bar is filled, but his other abilities are disabled. He gains 20/30/50 armor and magic resist, 10AD, 20AP and 5/10/20% increased movement speed during this time, though each of these stats drains over the duration, in accordance to Vael's Flux bar. Vael's heat shield and ring of fire become active and follow him at this time as well, but the shield is not drained as damage is inflicted. Enemies running away are slowed, at a greater percentage for those closest to him. His R changes to an ability called Vortex Flux, which allows him to switch the direction of the slow so that enemies running towards him are slowed. The ability lasts for 7 seconds, 2 of which have no cost, and 5 of which cost 1 Flux per second. When his flux bar is empty, Vael reverts to the opposite form from the one with which he entered Conflagration.
I hope you like the concept, feel free to improve upon the numbers/ kit. With any luck, Riot will be able to adapt some of it into a new champ, with the old Omen model perhaps
