Mako - The Mad Dancer

Looks: I thought Mako will look like a jester, similar to Shaco, Kefka (Final Fantasy VI), Thorn & Zorn (Final Fantasy IX). Weapon: Similar to a rope dart but with a blade attached to each edge, something that can be easily swinged.

Passive: Never stop! All Mako abilities can only be used in the direction he is facing (front, front-right, front-left).

When Mako is doing basic attacks, it will be randomly done through his left hand (front-left) or right hand (front-right). Mako will be always randomly swinging the two edges of his weapon (can be both edges at same time but rarely) for a few seconds, granting special properties at any of his abilities that is thrown in the same way.

If one of Mako’s hand is blocked by using an ability or attacking, Mako will automatically start to swing his free hand.

Example to clarify: Mako swings right hand -> Use ability through front-left -> No buff Mako swings right hand -> Use ability through front -> No buff Mako swings right hand -> Use ability through front-right -> Buff Mako swings both hand -> Use ability through front -> Buff

Q: Dancing joy Mako generates a charge every X seconds (max to 3).

Mako will throw a fast projectile in form of a cone (like Ezreal ult) from whichever side he decides. After one has been used and if there are charges available, Mako can reuse the ability and is also able to change the direction from where to use it. If thrown at the front, the range and width will be bigger than if thrown through front-left or front-right.

Any enemy hit by the ability will be slowed by X% for X seconds.

Passive buff (1 hand or 2 hands): The projectile speed and range is increased

W: Faster! Passive: Mako’s abilities will be faster (projectile speed, casting, channel, delays, etc) whenever this ability gets leveled up. Active: Mako’s gets an increase in movement speed. Passive buff (1 hand): Increased movement speed. Passive buff (2 hand): Becomes immune to CC for X seconds.

E: Can you keep up? After X seconds (delay), Mako will unleash his weapon in a straight line which will end up in the opposite direction it was thrown unless it was thrown through the front.

Mako’s weapon will deal damage and hit anyone that is within its reach and if any enemy champion is hit by it, it will be rooted for X seconds and then pulled towards him after the ability has reached its maximum range and comes back.

If the ability is thrown throught the front, Mako will use both hands and the range will be shorter than if thrown through the front-left or front-right, but the hitbox will be wider.

Passive buff (1 hand or 2 hands): Pulling distance increased

**R: Final dance ** Cannot be used in the front, only front-left or front-right. Mako will start spinning his entire weapon over his head (channeling) for X seconds and will swing it 2 times. Any enemy champion hit will have their HP recovery reduced by half for X seconds and will also reduce their Armor and Magic Resist by X for X seconds. Passive buff (1 hand): Channeling will be reduced by half Passive buff (2 hands): Channeling will be reduced by half + debuff duration is tripled

I thought about a unique innovative champion which is dependable on his passive to be played properly. I believe that looking often at your character to know in which hand you have the passive buff is an original idea and also a playmaker. This champion is supposed to be mechanically hard and the user has to react and take decisions fast because of his passive which changes constantly and is random but controllable.

I “designed” Mako to be an AP tank support because his abilities are supposed to do very low damage but have lots of CC and debuffs. Mako is a teamplay focused champion.

For the people that will compain that Mako is OP, I am going to state some points to change your mind. • Mako relies on his passive which is random but controllable up to a certain point • Mako NEEDS to face the enemies so he can use abilities that means that he has to constantly move and change the direction he is looking at • Mako is supposed to be a support with no damage at all. He only has CC, buffs and debuffs. • Mako is supposed to be very hard to play effectively but very rewarding • Mako players need to think, decide and act fast because of his passive
