@Riot - Champion Suggestion - Silverback Gorilla
I don't have a name for him yet, but I do have a couple ideas for his abilities and overall concept.
Primary: tanky cc/top lane/jungle/support Secondary: fighter
Passive: After reaching 30% health all damage dealt to him would be reduced by 40% for 6 seconds (think Volibear's passive, similar relationship with cool down reduction and no death timer reset).
Q: Throw enemies a short distance behind you (think Mega Gnar Q and Volibear's Q just a gorilla throwing you). This deals physical damage and slows breifly (70% slow for .5 seconds).
W: I would rather have him scale with armor penetration or attack damage than attack speed and/or ability power so with that being said: He lets out a huge roar and beats his chest showing his teeth and bulky prowess, but also not allowing him to move during this time (think GP's E ability or Volibear's R, stopping their movement slightly) that then fears targets for 1 second (minions 2) and increases his attack damage by a certain amount for 5-6 seconds.
E: This ability is hard to explain, but amazing in practice. Think of Zacs E, how he has to charge up to gain distance and damage and cc. Imagine a silverback gorilla charging at terrain, jumping off it and launching himself into the middle of a lane to land a Q backward toward his allies. This ability would be restricted to terrain which would allow him to have amazing engages in all aspects of the game, but lack the damage to follow it up as well as the ability to use it in lane often. This ability would cause physical damage and briefly stun anyone in the landing point (1 second).
To get a better idea of what this would look like, think top lane tri-bush. Think charging up his E with him stepping backward and then instantly running toward the terrain blocking between the river and the alley toward the top lane tower and launching himself into the air to land (depending on how charged the ability is) mid lane and position himself for a super amazing gank. This could easily be countered too by consistent warding of the tri-bushes on both sides of the lane.
R: Headlocks or collapses on to a friendly or enemy champion (think Lissandra ultimate) making them immune to all damage and cc for a 2 second duration. During this time the gorilla takes the full amount of the damage, but then breaks free from the effect of his ultimate and explodes with rage gaining amplified ability powers on his normal abilities. This can be used as protection of a carry from cc and major ultimate aoe ultimates and can even cancel ultimates like malzahar's or warwicks ultimates on said champion. He cannot do this to himself however. Notice that many of his abilities require his teammates to be present to make full effect of them because of his lack of damage, but crazy amounts of cc and disruption.
Increased effects would include:
Q: Throws his target twice as far. W: Fear lasts twice as long and the AD steroid increases to allies around him. E: Now able to be used as a charge boost toward a fixed location; if he contacts an enemy champion he carries them with him and stuns them if he hits terrain.
These effects last 12 seconds.
His combo before 6 when ganking would be: E to get into range, W to fear and position for Q toss and then finish off with damage from AA steroid boost from his W.
After 6: E to R to W to E to Q or E, R, Q, W, E.
He would be the definition of single target cc protection and disruption. He would be a peeling machine.
