Champion idea: Tomarus, the Beetle Herald

So here's an idea I've had floating around for a while. It's a champion that can turn into different species of beetles, which would work a bit like Udyr, but changing his own body parts rather than totally transforming himself. I got the idea after watching a documentary.

You're going to want to include AP, AS, or MS in your build. Rylai's, Liandry's, and Runaan's all combo exceptionally well.

Tomarus Mage/Fighter, Top Laner, Mana-using

Passive: Gathering Swarm - After using an ability, Tomarus gains a slight buff to movement speed.

Q: Scarab Rush - Tomarus's arms and legs shapeshift to look like an insect's. Tomarus skitters on all fours to a point near the target at high speed, dealing a small amount of magic damage to the target and infesting it with a swarm of scarabs that deals DoT.

W: Bombardier Blaster - Passive: After casting any ability besides this one, Tomarus' basic attacks become melee and deal bonus magic damage. Active: Tomarus visually gains red, shell-like gauntlets and channels flames around himself. For 4 seconds, his basic attacks fire a thin cone of searing-hot poison, burning enemies along the line for magic damage. The first of the attacks that hits a champion pushes the champion to a set distance away from Tomarus. If Runaan's Hurricane equipped, the cone is widened.

E: Hercules Slam / Kabuto Toss - On enemy cast, Tomarus grows a claw-like pair of horns. Targeting an enemy, Tomarus can then pick the unit up and slam it into the ground in a direction anywhere around him, determined by mouse position, dealing magic damage to it and anything caught under the attack and rooting the target for a a second or two. On self or ally cast, a large, tricorned helmet forms on Tomarus' head. The ally can right-click on Tomarus and choose a direction for Tomarus to throw them in. The ally is stunned for a split second upon landing, but can object to going the full distance at any time during the flight -- except near the end of it -- by moving.

Ultimate: Titan Impact - Tomarus grows to a massive size, gaining health and a cosmetic armored carapace, and crashes an enormous, armored punch down on an area, which breaks the ground and creates a slow zone. If it connects with a champion, Tomarus deals magic damage to it and backpedals to a safe distance, receiving a large attack speed buff. He retains the bonus health and large size for 4 seconds.

Combo examples: • When being dove under a turret, retaliate with an ult slightly behind the enemy, push them further into the turret with a W, dash to them with a Q and root them with an E. Finish them off with the remainder of your W.

• Use a Q to beside your lane opponent, opposite a wall. Push them into the wall with a W and ult to create a slow zone, giving you the advantage on subsequent attacks.

Tomarus could be played top, maybe mid, perhaps jungle…

Welp, that's all. Happy hunting!
